Knew you'd pick me up on that Marsha - sorry Blush
Need to find these other threads you're all mentioning. Hate going off Vogue.

justasecond · 03/01/2016 22:43

Oh and I am too scared to weigh myself there has been so much eating out and dinner parties recently I can't remember the last time I cooked at home Blush

MarshaBrady · 03/01/2016 22:45

Nah stay here Shop much easier, I post sometimes but not much

Justa sounds fab, going to look at links

justasecond · 03/01/2016 22:48

They all look the same to me now queenc I'll have a look when I go to dm's tomorrow.

shopafrolic · 03/01/2016 22:50

Glad I'm not the only one who wears my leather trousers for Sunday lounging Blingy. Love mine - although I keep having to pull the Joseph ones up. Really really want a pair of the HL ones in plain black leather. Such a good fit for me. 3 pairs seems excessive though Grin

shopafrolic · 03/01/2016 22:51

Justa glad you had such a great time Smile

Longislandicetee · 03/01/2016 23:04

Blimey that's a hard one Marsha! Maybe my cashmere coat?

The expensive thread is fascinating. I have no interest in looking "expensive" but obviously like being stylish. A lot of the pictures that have been posted have basically been my wardrobe but then I look at people like Marsha whose style is soooo different to mine and yet she's sooo stylish and that's the point i was trying to make. I can admire from afar knowing that it's so stylish I am not "cool" or edgy like Marsha and it would be a total car crash if I tried!! I know because I tried once Grin at Mominatrix and I being like worlds colliding.

Shop you have lots of jeans what's wrong with lots of leathers? gentle nudgeWink

AmberNectarine · 03/01/2016 23:38

I would replace my pink suede Jimmy Choos (wore to last MU) which DH ruined by dropping creme brûlée on (at Fortnums, is this the most first world problem ever? I think so). They went with everything

LinusLovesBretons · 04/01/2016 04:17

Great question marsha even though I didn't quite understand it either the first time Wink

Tricky though but I guess it would have to be my Manolos. I am seriously considering calling Harrods to see if they have them in navy or cobalt as I haven't been able to find them elsewhere and I would pay extra to have them shipped over here.

I read the Expensive thread as well but I rarely comment on other threads as I'm used to the safe atmosphere on here. I agree though that momin looked very chic and I wonder if she has the same watch as me.

Good luck today blair!

Drywhitethanks · 04/01/2016 08:09

It feels nice to be back to normal.

I didn't get the question that MmeMarshaBrady

Stokey · 04/01/2016 09:04

Ah I get it now Marsha, for me it's my leather jacket, I love the way it dresses down something smart. On that note, I've been wearing my pleather trews loads & thinking maybe I should invest in some real ones. Are HL the ones to go for? Hush had some lovely burgundy ones that I was thinking I might be able to get in the sale but are OS now. And actually may be best to stick to black as an investment piece.

I think this is my washing machine QueenC, under £500

QueenC · 04/01/2016 09:10

Thanks for all the washing machine recs. after more research I think I may have the answer to the leakage problem so have ordered a new drain cover and seal for £16. Let's hope it works Hmm.

amber can't believe those beautiful shoes are ruined. Can you make dh get you some more??
Not sure what I would have on tap apart from prosecco......I do love my clothes but tend to be rather fickle. I guess it would be navy blouses.

Morning! Hope everyone going back to work has a good day, especially Blair. I have taken an extra day off to sort stuff out but think ds might finally have succeeded in giving me his lurgies.Hmm I am onku sniffly thankfully. Thank goodness for the flu shot else I might have gone down earlier.

I looked at the bloggers thread.Shock And then backed out again very very slowly!

I snorted at Marsha threatening to use her native language!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 04/01/2016 09:15

i'd have cashemere cardigans on tap if i could. they just work for me in so many ways.

shop hope Dh is feeling better and you get to the bottom of what causes it

good luck today blair hope you feel okay

Longislandicetee · 04/01/2016 09:20

Oh sorry Stokey. Yes Shop and Amber swear by the HL leggings. I think full price they're £700-ish but look out for them half price on The Outnet. Mine were Theory, and were £900 ish. But I only got them as I was impatient and missed the HL ones on the outnet!

shopafrolic · 04/01/2016 09:27

Stokey My HL leather leggings (which are a strange sort of suede ish slightly sparkly version - LOVE) were found by Lib in TK Maxx. There were some on the Outnet recently in normal leather, lots of colours.
Wishing everyone a good day back at work - DH has today and tomorrow off - DS goes back to school tomorrow so we have a bit more fun left to go. :)

AmberNectarine · 04/01/2016 09:49

I have the purple suedey LLs and regular black leather (both HL) and I love them. Haven't bought any Helmut Lang this season which is most unlike me.

QueenC I'm going to take them to a specialist cleaner. He has offered to buy me another pair but they don't do that colour any more.

QueenC · 04/01/2016 10:02

Are all your dc back at school today? We have an inset today. Apparently all they want to do is watch TV and play Xbox. Oh well, it's wet outside so I might as well just let them and get on with chores and off mumsnet.

Great answers. and the reaction to my lack of coherence made me laugh Grin

My on tap would be the orange trio or the Lanvin flats which I end debuting anyway

MarshaBrady · 04/01/2016 10:17

End up buying not debuting

maradesbois · 04/01/2016 11:43

Morning!

justa glad you had a lovely birthday weekend.

Good luck back at work Blair, hope it goes better than you are expecting.

Have a week off on my own, bliss. Although lots of stuff to do for my course am enjoying the empty house, Christmas decs down, nice blank canvas. Although have had to undo the button on my skinnies, 3 weeks plus of no exercise and excess has taken its toll. Going to walk into town later to browse sales, starting the exercise gently.

Marsha am late to your question but think I understand it from the responses. Only think in my wardrobe I am attached to at same level as orange céline I think is navy blue Marni coat, it is 3/4 length sleeve and has angora in it. Was originally lovely and lush but after a few years looks a little threadbare. No chance will ever find another one though.

Went to Bicester yesterday but not very impressed with sales offerings. Last year's céline bag at still nearly £2k isn't much of an incentive. Did get a couple of things though, a dark camel Marni cashmere cardigan at 80% off plus Stella superheroes silk top. Loved this in store last year but was too expensive for me. Had ds in tow who declared it 'magnificent'! Such cuteness was rewarded by nice shop lady with 2 packets of stickers so we both left happy.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/01/2016 13:43

Thanks everyone :) I feel ok, the morning has been nice and quiet but I'm probably running on adrenaline a bit, as I got less than 7 hours sleep when I've been having 9-10.

OOTD: Next navy ribbed turtleneck, Atterley navy faux wrap skirt, black opaques, Nine West black knee boots, pearl studs DH got me for Christmas, Larsson & Jennings gold watch, Mulberry tan Mitzy hobo. Coat was teal Maxmara.

mara love the sound of your Bicester buys, how cute that your DS liked the top.

Fingers crossed re the washing machine QueenC, fwiw we also have a Bosch, came with the house but has been great.

Top priority to replace item would probably be the above mentioned Mulberry, though they don't make them anymore :( but it is such a great bag and I would be very sad to lose it.

FedupNagging · 04/01/2016 13:48

For those who's ny resolution is to wear more heels Grin

Got hooked on the bloggers thread and now no time to post.

Laters ladies

KittyHello · 04/01/2016 13:57

Great back to work outfit Blair very stylish indeed, hope today goes well for you.

Love that Stella top Mara it's fab and very cool.

Queen my dc have an inset day and yes it's Xbox and tv watching here, I tried getting them to do some school work in preparation for tomorrow but they looked at me like this Hmm

I've made my final sales purchase, I think, trying to fill gaps in my wardrobe so have ordered this tweed GD jacket

maradesbois · 04/01/2016 15:15

Kitty you're on fire with your purchases atm!

Am having a coffee break at favourite café in middle of my stroll. Nothing in sales for me so glad I got the Bicester things. Rag & Bone had devon boots in black suede at 60% off but only in 38.5 when am normally 39 and although lovely they pinched a bit so left it. Anyone 36 or 41 could be onto a winner though. Service was inattentive to the point of rudeness though. I deliberately unfolded some jumpers out of mischief Blush.
