Aaaaw shucks Blingy. What a lovely post.
Giving Marsha a huge hug too. Always here.
Oh and while I'm dishing them out, one for Bernice
DH has got stomach pains. He gets them every Christmas holiday - must be a stress thing. Last year we had to call an ambulance. Hoping it passes this time Hmm

shopafrolic · 01/01/2016 15:45

justa what a fab surprise. Enjoy.
Marsha good decision in the Lanvin - love how you dither.
I would look so bad in those OTK boots but can imagine them looking awesome on others.
Linus I wish you lived closer too

Dreamqueen · 01/01/2016 16:13

Happy New Year lovely stylish ladies.
Thank you to all who gave me advice on which zatchels bag to get my DIL. she loves it.

Drywhitethanks · 01/01/2016 16:14

I'm alive! I'm alive! And my head is good, didn't mix and paced myself well for once but hitting the cheese board at 1.30am was a mistake Grin
In car driving to friends' for weekend and more celebrating Shock but it's ok, I'm wearing ghillies, have had a shower and feel human Grin

Blingy laughed out load on realizing you're planning to buy all 4, and at shop's reaction which is what o really was thinking

Some exciting stuff coming up....Blair great stuff and Marsha so lovely you've got your mojo back.... Can't wait to hear all about it.

Another resolution... To wear heels more for casual.

shopafrolic · 01/01/2016 16:32

Really pleased to hear that Dreamqueen
Sorry Blingy I was probably a bit too harsh Grin

MarshaBrady · 01/01/2016 16:34

I loved your reaction too Shop.

Blingy I think you should get all four, and get them now rather than spread over the year

MarshaBrady · 01/01/2016 16:35

Dry sounds good, have fun at next one!

Drywhitethanks · 01/01/2016 16:47

shop it was funny, not harsh. Reminded me of the demure lady sitting next to me on the plane last week who was cool, calm and collected throughout the flight home until we hit turbulence as we lasted , grabbed the back of the seat in front and shrieked "shitting hell!!" GrinGrinGrin certainly broke the ice

KittyHello · 01/01/2016 18:07

Happy new year ladies

Lovely post Blingy and yes lurkers please do join us.

Dreamqueen are you staying with us

Stokey · 01/01/2016 18:34

Happy New Year everyone, loving the love on here, it's making me feel a bit emotional through my hungover haze Xmas Smile. I went to my first 2 MUs last year and am so glad I met you lovely lot in the flesh. Hope to meet more of you this year.
Very happy with the AS order which arrived just in time. I was going to wear the dress over coated skinnies but DD & DH both preferred the cut-out jumper with black suede mini so wore that with shiny red KG heels that I've owned for years and don't wear enough.

So I think I'll join Dry in trying to wear heels more this year.

QueenC · 01/01/2016 21:32

I love the vogue love fest Smile. Everyone here is watching Sherlock but I don't feel like I have the brain power. Lying bed as my period has started which frankly is a relief as ive been a bit moody in the last couple of days. Might kick the year off with a fantasy shop before I go to sleep....

queen I think you'd need a pair of these...

Topazandpearl · 02/01/2016 09:09

Thank you safety, that could be very useful. I am considering our accommodation at the moment. Am I right to assume HK Island would be best?

Happy birthday justa, what a lovely surprise.

I hope you are feeling better today Queen.

Well said Blingy.

I haven't done any sales shopping yet, but I am waiting for the Brora sale next Wednesday and hoping that what I want is reduced!

shopafrolic · 02/01/2016 09:36

Morning all - nearly ended up calling an ambulance again last night for DH! Every year at this time he seems to get these absolutely horrific stomach and back pains. Last year he ended up in hospital on morphine. Happened again last night so stayed up late with him panicking. Am knackered now, he's sleeping. Need to figure out how to keep DS occupied while not being too far away from DH just in case. Worrying - think it's stress related......

Topazandpearl · 02/01/2016 09:49

Of course you are worried shop. I hope he is ok and you all have a restful day. Is there anything else that changes over Christmas that could be triggering it? I assume he is OK when on you are on summer holidays. Could he be intolerant to something he eats or drinks over Christmas? Would sleep have any suggestions?

Karcheer · 02/01/2016 09:55

shop that's a terrible worry. Did they suggest what it might be last year?
Dies he have end of year targets?

What do you think the key pieces of 2016 will be? Pussy bow blouses, flares...

Longislandicetee · 02/01/2016 10:09

Oh no Shop, poor dh and you. I think one of the things I have really taken onboard from Sleep is how much your body physically manifests what is going on for you internally - whether it's physical or mental. It could be that the adrenalin carries him through year round but when he mentally stops (like most people do at Christmas) then he doesn't have the adrenalin as a "protective" layer. I wonder whether because he's in sales, at this time, he starts worrying about what next year will look like. Most people whose income is largely dependent on their bonus feel like this. Even if he doesn't go to hospital this time, he needs to go for a full medical - bloods, urine, physical etc so he can see what's going on for him. Buzz me if you need anything.

safetyzone · 02/01/2016 10:13

shop, sorry to hear that. Hope he's better now. How worrying.

topaz, actually as long as you are close to major MTR stations, you're OK on Kowloon side too. Tsim Sha Tsui is a major interchange spot and tourist friendly. Lots of hotels there, depending on budget (tend to be expensive...) Just make sure you're not at a far end of any of the MTR lines. Admittedly HK Island is nicer IMO.

MarshaBrady · 02/01/2016 12:39

Oh no Shop sounds very stressful, how are things now?

LinusLovesBretons · 02/01/2016 13:10

I'm so sorry to hear that shop! How is he feeling today?

I agree with blingy when people in stressful jobs finally have the opportunity to relax, their bodies get a shock as their are used to be under pressure the whole time.

DH used to get these crippling headaches on the first day of our holiday in the early years of our relationship.

He still does to a certain extent but they are a lot less painful nowadays so mamnageable.
