Stokey · 10/11/2015 22:03

Lovely Happy.
I've just persuaded DH to buy me the large red saddle bag for Christmas too, not that he needed much persuading. He's adding a personal message... Am slightly worried!

KittyHello · 11/11/2015 10:03

this is the link that didn't work

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/11/2015 11:32

Morning all :)

I'll happily piggyback onto Lib's coat hunt... still sad about the MaxMara one that didn't work out. I like the double breasted J Crew one but reviews said the fabric was bad. Like the Karen Millen one too. I think I'll be waiting for the sales though or a Bicester trip. I think a belted style would suit you Lib.

My sister is in the US at the moment (in sunny Orlando, the cow!) so she's going to be bringing me back some J Crew goodies.

Love the red bag chat... I would love a red work bag. I'm sure WIT or someone did a post about it once and it's stuck in my head, but a red bag really is an outfit maker. I only have a tiny one though.

QueenCardi · 11/11/2015 11:45

Morning.
WIT/wardrobe icons do love their red bags. Personally I prefer a fuschia.

dry I don't think I answered your question about colour blocking. I think all of us pretty much know our style on here nowadays but I do believe in sometimes trying stuff on out of your comfort zone even if it's just to confirm that it won't work. Have you thought about trying a checked/tartan skirt just to add in a little contrast.

grr shop I couldn't resist looking at the MD website and ive fallen in love with a blouse on there. Must resist. Must resist. Repeat over again.

Camel coats don't really do it for me but I really like the belted one that was linked. Like blair said, I think it may work for lib but nothing too long.

KittyHello · 11/11/2015 13:34

the APC shirt is all wrong on me Sad sleeves are too long, the shape is too boxy for me and the ruffles don't suit me at all. Really wanted it to work but alas it isn't to be ho hum. Funny how an item of clothing can look so right on other people but so wrong on me. I'm glad I tried it though.

libertydoddle · 11/11/2015 14:06

Oh that's a shame Kitty. Thanks for all all camel coats links - my favourite of your links was the Gucci one on that 20 camel coats line up - needless to say also the most expensive at £2k so that's not happening anytime soon.

Shop I love the Jaeger wrap one but it might be too long. I think I need to go a try out lots. Also, more and more I am tending towards midi length dresses and skirts so I have to think about the coat length that works best with those - tricky!

Blair you sound chirpier today - are you feeling better?

I have a Thai massage booked for 3pm - cannot wait, my shoulders and neck are so stiff from constant working on the laptop and dragging heavy bags everywhere.

justasecond · 11/11/2015 14:58

Loving all the camel coats links. I really like this one too
camel coat
Shame about that shirt Kitty its so lovely.
Great choice with the bag shop and the jacket looks good too.
Marsha love your new jumper, beautiful colour
Happy belated birthday viva
No shopping news from me have not been shopping for ages. I did pick up some stretchy grey skinny cords from Next when shopping for dc. They have been worn loads already as they are so comfy.

Dreamqueen · 11/11/2015 16:01

I've ordered the red satchel for my dil & had an inscription done on it as it's a gift for a special occasion. Thank you for your inspiration shopafrolic and others who helped me make my colour choice. I'd never heard of that brand and wouldn't have found such a perfect gift without reading your vogue thread.
Flowers for you all x

BerniceBobsHerHairAgain · 11/11/2015 16:09

Hello, popping by to say a quick hello.

Kitty that's a shame about the top - I think I would have the same issues though I love the colours, shirts with no collar do nothing for me. Its sold out on NAP now too.

Dry I think you are more fashion forward than you think. Am thinking about your leather leggings and leather skirt. Not that I am suggesting you wear them to work.

Btw I saw this top and thought of you - are you still looking for a similar colour top?

Shop I saw these boots and thought they look a bit similar to a pair of IM ones you wanted a dupe for a while back.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/11/2015 16:10

Thanks Lib yes - still got a horrendous cough and not much energy but I do feel better :) it's almost a shame as now there's no excuse for DH to just do everything for me!! Hope you enjoy your massage, sounds like you really need it.

Kitty oh no, what a shame about the shirt. Definitely worth a try though.

Finally got around to trying on my Jaeger order had to put on a bra in order to do so. Think I'm going to keep it all - the cropped sweater is so snuggly and looks good layered with a Breton, and the 2 merino tops in chocolate and blue will be good for work.

shopafrolic · 11/11/2015 16:15

Dreamqueen glad you ordered - hope they love it. Can't stand the pressure. Stick around though - it's fun here :)
Kitty boo hiss on the blouse
Bernice I think I have to sit on my hands for a while now. Will take a look when I'm passing though - Flowers Dry would look great in the top you linked
Lib I always pick the most expensive thing on a page - frustrating Grin - we're clearly too classy

libertydoddle · 11/11/2015 16:51

It is annoying Shop champagne taste on a cava budget!

Do stick around dreamqueen

Love that cropped sweater Blair. I'd hang in there with insisting on being waited on for another day or two - don't want to compromise your recovery! The merino tops do look very useful....hmmmm...considering...

That's a lovely coat Justa.

libertydoddle · 11/11/2015 16:54

Massage was quite painful, my shoulders are so stiff Shock. Feels better now though. Checking MN email and sipping peppermint tea with my Baies candle burning - bliss.

Drywhitethanks · 11/11/2015 16:56

Bernice I do love my leather skirt and can't wait to wear it to a Christmas do with the Asos lace cropped but not tummy revealing Victorian blouse Fedup found ......and the incredibly exciting Pour La Victoire burgundy suede pumps shop found me not arrived yet, but hopeful they will be fabulous

The Whistles sweater is perfect, but, although it is described online as "wool rich fabric" it is in fact 70% yen cel,30% linen and quite thin IRL Confused

QueenC I do like tartan/check skirts it's just a question of finding one I like Hmm

shopafrolic · 11/11/2015 17:52

Thoughts on Pin please.....

Drywhitethanks · 11/11/2015 22:24

Love how they have styled this blazer with Stans, black cigarette trousers and roll neck. I'd wear that. Would really like a grey flannel blazer.

shopafrolic · 11/11/2015 22:36
