I have been thinking about my christmas list and so far have:
Cashmere scarf

These to replace the one I lost a few months ago

Perfume - perfect summer fragrance yes I know its winter but is easily achievable for dh

More perfume plus the candle to go with.

I would like some more knitwear - in brighter colours, pink (love the tippi linked up thread) or berry but I think it would be better to wait until the sales.

Um, I may or may not have a g&t in front of me Dry but I googled shoe stretching techniques and that is one of the methods mentioned. I removed said boots from the freezer earlier but can't get the ice pack out so will need to wait until the water has defrosted and hope there isn't a hole in the bag!

Next step will be the hair dryer method!

New York recommendations for Viva...

My absolute favourite is the New York Palace. It's where dh and I always stay. It's so sparkly especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's me to a tee. it's on Madison at 50th and just so central. It's also expensive.

I have just stayed at Le Parker Meridien and thought it was a terrific hotel. Great for families. Amazing pool, gym and bar. Right by the park on 56th and 7th with fab views of the park if you get the right view. Central Park is one of my favourite places in the world.

Other hotels I have stayed at: Bryant Park, the W (v trendy!), Grand Hyatt, Double Tree.

Dh always goes to the Waldorf Astoria if he's without me. I think it's a bit soulless and it's too far from the action (on third avenue from memory?), I am a lazy so and so, so always stay in midtown!

I have refrained on commenting on NYC as the 3 times we've stayed there we have been disappointed with our hotels although tbf, one time was an emergency stopover, another stayed in NJ (both times with dc's) but no excuse for the third!

Dry I think you need to be specific if previous occasions are anything to go by! did you manage to sell the watch?

Awful about Paris, there's no easy solution to stop this, very sad. A friend was close & heard it kick off, terrifying.

Interesting about the Petty's Fedup, mine are a bit snug round the widest part of my foot too. I rarely wear them though as think they're a bit formal for me.

Hello Safety, Cos sale is normally pretty decent. I got cashmere scarf & hat half price last year.

We've got a chilled weekend, hurrah, in jeans, red checked shirt and black boyfriend jumper, warmth over style for me.
