Waiting for Eurostar with the worst case of the runs I've had since Africa. Which is nice. House guest was driving me round the twist, good job she goes tomorrow.

bigTillyMint · 29/11/2015 08:44

Oh dear MrsS - good luck, at least it's not a really long journey and there are loos!

Herbs, it doesn't sound that bad - maybe it's time for her to step up or step away? Anyway, sounds like you have had a brilliant birthday extravaganza.

DH is cross because I forced him to turn over/move away when he had woken me up for the second time with his heavy breathing right next to my earAngry Separate beds sounds so tempting.

herbaceous · 29/11/2015 09:06

Third night in a row where I've woken up every 1.5 hours in a sweat, then taken ages to get back to sleep, only to be woken by another sweat. And I'm hungover. Joy.

Good lunch yesterday, though. People came back to ours and polished off our sausage rolls. And some more Prosecco.

Cremo · 29/11/2015 10:07

Morning all rom the howling snow blown edge of Europe. Herbs glad to see you had a fab time and have gone the extra mile with celebrating your birthday. You've set the bar very high for me next year Grin I'm going to have to get my Arse in gear.

Sorry about all the lurgy ridden Crepeys , those on the dick bench and with runny bottoms. Thanks

The interview was quite strange. Pro-forma with panel of 4 and you now get the questions in front of you, so your brain goes into overdrive and you have no chance of hearing anything the panel say.
I had prepared quite well, but sadly I think I meandered a bit, and probably came across as someone with a dusty cupboard for a brain.
Won't know until next week. And even then, not sure I want it.or even have done enough.Confused

Dmil so lunch party today.wibu to arrive in full sea worthy galoshes?

motherinferior · 29/11/2015 10:09

I am still feeling spectacularly horrid, both physically and mentally. Pounding head, clogged sinuses and backache. I have to go go Norwich tomorrow, early. And really cannot face students on Weds.

Cremo · 29/11/2015 10:12

MI can you get cover for Wednesday ? You are allowed to be ill fgs. Be gentle with self.SadThanks

motherinferior · 29/11/2015 10:22

I'm trying to. To be honest a lot of it is just wanting to run away from my fckup but also wanting to run away from everything. This is my third day in bed and I still feel grim. I've been wanting to run away for a while...

herbaceous · 29/11/2015 10:27

I am gradually working my way through my presents. It's such an embarrassment of riches, it feels almost sinful. So far I'm up five necklaces, a lovely throw, a vase and a pot (all bizarrely in a greyish green so all go together), three bottles of champers (not that I'm ever drinking again), a darling little egg cup shaped like a cup, loads of posh chocs, six beautiful coloured glass champagne glasses, an orchid and a box of Liz Earle loveliness, and I'm only about half way through. I've also gained a captain's hat, a wig, glasses and a Hobbs cardi, if anyone's lost one!

herbaceous · 29/11/2015 10:39

Maybe my feeling dreadful isn't down to a fatal combination of three-day-bender-induced hangover, dehydration and sleep deprivation, but is in fact a lurgy. Not sure which is worse really.

Courage, MI. This too will pass.

Rosebag · 29/11/2015 10:51

Sympathies re heavy breathing and snoring problem, tilly I often wonder whether the encroaching deafness of middle to old age (that our parents seemed to get but not so much us, due to better health care, ) was a blessing.

Imodium, MrsS. Imodium. Flowers

crem your brain is anything but dusty. It amazes me all the different ways people find to run an interview. It's a two way conversation ffs.

Oh MI! That doesn't sound grim but take it one day at a time. You may well be better by Wednesday but if you're not, of course youre entitled to go sick. We are humans not androids. Flowers Brew.

I woke with a headache this morning. In fact it's usually a sign that I have slept deeply. On the whole I function better with sleep deprivation. Confused. Homework day today. Have planned that they'll get it over with before it gets dark so we can go out together. Otherwise we spend all day bitching at one another. Ah the joy of Sunday's....

Rosebag · 29/11/2015 10:52

herbs did you get the email present?

bigTillyMint · 29/11/2015 10:52

Cremo, fingers crossed for a good result. And yes, put on your galoshesGrin

MI, sorry you are feeling bad - as Herbs says, it will pass.

Herbs, you deserve the lovely presents! Hope you are having a quiet day today to recoverWink

Think I'll be having another quiet day - jobs need to be done and I don't really fancy watching DS play a friendly in the howling wind and maybe rain.

bigTillyMint · 29/11/2015 11:01

Rose, I agree re Sundays - it's a blessing that DS plays footy and DD's bf will no doubt be here all day!

herbaceous · 29/11/2015 11:11

Rose - no, I didn't, though I haven't checked my junk folder. How rude, for it to get put there.

About to attempt to leave the house for a bracing outdoor jaunt to attempt revive me. Then later on I've got a quick choir rehearsal - we're singing Disney classics in a Tesco Extra next week (!) and have to brush up!

Rosebag · 29/11/2015 11:30

herbs'please let me know if it isn't there...its from Not On The High Street. It should have arrived on Thursday. If not I'll chase them!

bigTillyMint · 29/11/2015 11:51

Herbs, Disney classics sounds fab. Bracing walk less so!

herbaceous · 29/11/2015 11:53

It was there! Thank you so much Rose! That is very generous. You are all very generous.

motherinferior · 29/11/2015 12:36

Ibuprofen has tackled some of my woes and I've booked early ticket to Norwich tomorrow but still can't face students...

bigTillyMint · 29/11/2015 12:38

Take it a day at a time MIFlowers

NUFC69 · 29/11/2015 15:07

Sorry to hear about all the poorly Crepeys; I hope the hangovers clear soon, Frantic toilet visits cease, and that BTM's DH stops snoring. I had a good night's sleep last night, the first since Tuesday, so my sympathies. MI, {{{{hugs}}}}

I have a puzzle, when we came home in the twilight on Friday I noticed that one of the bird seed feeders was down on the ground under the tree. It was wet so I just thought I would put it back on Saturday morning- it has completely disappeared, apart from the lid which was about five yards away. Is it possible that an animal has dragged it away? I mean it is only plastic so nobody would want to take it. Answers on a postcard, please.

So pleased that we have just won the Davis Cup.

Thanks love.

I know I am being a wimp about Weds but I really did mess up.

bigTillyMint · 29/11/2015 16:50

NU, could it be a squirrel? Or a squirrel and fox working in tandem? Both are a nuisance here in the smoke!

To be clear, DH doesn't snore. He breathes unbelievably loudly. And close to my earAngry

motherinferior · 29/11/2015 17:04

Breathing is the worst. DP breathes.AngryLTB.
