Rose, you sound as if you're dressed like a Creative. Fab.

My back has seized up.

Grok · 09/11/2015 10:47

Hi guys, I'm just curious about what the crepe threads are about :) what's the crepe?!

Thanks! Flowers

Cremo · 09/11/2015 11:24

Hi Grok, welcome! We are Crepey-it's just that we are 50ish+ and indecisive about style and beauty on the whole, but fabulous in every other way. Lots of chat about life and family, with a few style quandaries thrown in. you are very welcome to jump on. We are very supportive and welcome newbies with open arms.

Cremo review of Spectre;
Opening scene just amazing and memorable. The rest was achingly full of nods to previous Bonds; octopussy, man with the golden gun, spy who loved me etc. DC even giving us an arch Roger Moore tribute. Using this rather hackneyed motif as a vehicle to be as sexist and cute as possible, the whole thing drags and seemingly ends the DC era. Starts well, ends badly I'd say.

wordassociationfootball · 09/11/2015 11:25

Crepey skin. We're all late 40s and beyond Smile

Sorry about your back MI.

Rose, hope it is going well.

Am in outpatients. Massive delays. Brainstorming story ideas for Cbeebies show, v grateful I don't have to do it with Charlene or Sam. Also knackered.

Cremo · 09/11/2015 11:34

Oh and Bonds suits get tighter and tighter culminating in a scene that even made me Blush, when he is strapped to a chair in Blofeld's lair. Hot flush anyone?

bigTillyMint · 09/11/2015 11:43

I think I might have to go and see SpectreGrin

WAF, what happened?

BeachysFlipFlops · 09/11/2015 11:55

When did mattresses become such a 'thing' for dodgy dealing? They are not exactly easy to conceal, pop in a rucksack and run with?

What happened to the good old days of fish being sold door to door?

cressetmama · 09/11/2015 12:41

Saturday outing to see Spectre is planned; must remember to book tickets, tomorrow. I cannot think it will be a patch on Skyfall, sadly. And without Dame Judi too.

motherinferior · 09/11/2015 12:57

Crepeys, WTF do I do about my back? Heat helps slightly but I can hardly walk. DP away tonight.

wordassociationfootball · 09/11/2015 13:27

MI I will pm you. I know a FANTASIC osteo who also does acupuncture that really speeds things up.

Herbs, really hope lesson going/gone well.

BTM just a reflux issue. Years old, getting worse, nothing to worry about.

wordassociationfootball · 09/11/2015 13:34

Crem, I'm not that interested in DC's trousers or face. Although I would, because I like his hands and he looks like he'd smell good and know his way around a woman. The women in it were smoking, mind. Monica Belluci - ay, ay, ay and, I think but what do I know, facial filler free zone.

wordassociationfootball · 09/11/2015 13:37

Tasers out please:
First draft deadline and dallying. Ariveder... arivid... goodbye til later.

Hope the people with actual jobs who have to work with actual people are having a reasonable Monday.

Rosebag · 09/11/2015 14:00

DC is SO not my type. Grin

WAF good luck with merit your deadlines and mucho sympathy re reflux and all the accompanying joys...hope they're not ramming a scope down your neck.

Nice meeting with a lovely guy in WC2. No surprises...it's really all down to taking a chance and waiting, with a shitload of rejections in the hope that someone, somewhere will like it.... or funding a production oneself...megabucks, especially with the cast size being somewhat large. Hmm

NUFC69 · 09/11/2015 14:22

Welcome home, MI, sorry to hear about your back. Did you do anything in particular to exacerbate it? When DH has problems with his, it tends to be after a flight. Well done on your meeting, Rose. I would love to wave a wand and Magic the money for your play.

DD is taking the day off tomorrow so she and DH can go to see Spectre; I suppose we will get round to it sometime. Hectic weekend here: we went to the Remembrance Sunday parade with DGS1, and DS went with his DD. Then in the afternoon the whole family arrived and chaos reigned. We're hoping to go to Yorkshire on Wednesday to see the new baby.

wordassociationfootball · 09/11/2015 14:59

Glad theatre guy lovely, Rose, and yes to an endoscopic looky. Not fun but will do it without sedation as did previous.y (can't sign legal docs for 24 hours after sedation appaz, not that that's an issue here)

Sorry, WAF, missed that. Good luck with it. Do you have someone to collect you afterwards?

BeachysFlipFlops · 09/11/2015 17:27

I've just bought this in my lunch hour. Really nice shape, soft and good for blending in with Autumn leaves. That is the sum total of my purchases for what seems for ever (apart from my Sainsbo trousers!)

herbaceous · 09/11/2015 19:06

Très chic for kicking up autumn leaves, BFF.

I am about to bid on these beauties for my party. To accompany glamorous frock. And too much fake tan.

herbaceous · 09/11/2015 19:08

Not sure if it's sufficiently obvious that they're a joke.

(And I'll probably start actually wanting to wear them in real life, as they'll prove so comfy)

bigTillyMint · 09/11/2015 19:11

Nice pullie and sandals!

MrsS I am just watching the wonderful Alan Bennett on the One Show (whilst helping DS learn his French CA) about his new film - the Lady in the Van. Just thinking you could do The Man on the Landing WinkGrin

BeachysFlipFlops · 09/11/2015 19:25

I think it's obvious they are a joke. Also vair vair comfy for dancing! I'm so sorry I can't come. It's dh' works Xmas do that night, so I'm confined to barracks......

Collymollypuff · 09/11/2015 19:36

I'm wearing an ironic retro outfit which I bought on ebay - certainly not Captain's Table glamour. Dd wants the top as soon as the party is over.
