"One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress."
— Karl Lagerfeld

Its that time of year again when our thoughts turn to winter woollies, Christmas jumpers and party dresses. Come and join our musings and purchasing, high end and high street, we love them all.

Yes Happy that's them. I was holding off linking that as there was only one pair left in my size..... unfortunately they've now sold out so I've missed the boat on getting the black in my size :(
Fingers crossed they get more.

QueenCardi · 14/10/2015 08:18

Brr, it's cold. We still haven't put the heating in yet as trying to hold out till November Hmm.
Bet you look lovely dry. You really suit neat little looks.
lara that chanel cardi sounds divine.

my VW dress is definitely a forever thing. I wonder if forever things tend to be designer pieces. I've had a coat for about 12 years but the only reason it's stood the test of time is that it doesn't get worn daily and even so is starting to look a bit shabby.

libertydoddle · 14/10/2015 08:47

Forever items are more likely to be designer I think. At a minimum they need to be very well made and really good quality materials. I don't think anything that you wear frequently is going to last forever.

My OOTD is the R&B boots, dark brown opaques, midi length navy & Other stories skirt, cream silk LK Bennett shell top, cropped olive green v fine knit cardigam from TK Maxx, cashmere gauzy knit olive scarf. Left the house in a rush so forgot earrings!

shopafrolic · 14/10/2015 09:20

I have to agree that my forever stuff is designer. Bags, my SportMax coat, my HL leather leggings (thanks Lib). I think it is because they are well made and will last but also because if I am making a ££ investment I try and make sure what I buy is timeless....

BerniceBobsHerHairAgain · 14/10/2015 10:04

Just a quick post but Kitty did you see the stans I linked - these

An adidas bargain

HappyGirlNow · 14/10/2015 10:40

Ah thanks shop - they just didn't look as wide at the top as the ones in your photo...

HappyGirlNow · 14/10/2015 10:42

Sorry thought you'd bought in store, forgot those ones were too small..

QueenCardi · 14/10/2015 11:29

Gap has 30% off so just done a jeans order. Also just ordered some more Uniqlo heatech tops for me and the kids as we're heading up north for half term.
Ootd is heatech, massimoto dutti black/navy jumper and skinnies. Topped off with a big scarf as I'm so cold!

shopafrolic · 14/10/2015 12:33

Are you going to get them Happy? :)

KittyHello · 14/10/2015 13:21

Bernice thanks for the link they are a bargain although I've put my sensible head on and think I should get the Frye ones.

My forever items seem to be designer too, MaxMara coat, LV stole, LV bags etc, all well made, fairly timeless and not worn as frequently as my cheaper items.

OOTD is BR plaid wool scarf, IdF for Uniqlo oversized grey sweat, black skinnies and grey Pistols. Am not happy with the sweatshirt, oversized/slouchy on me just looks too big, as if I'm wearing dh's sweater but not in a good way.

HappyGirlNow · 14/10/2015 14:02

Hi shop yes I've ordered Grin plus got 10% off because it's the first time I've shopped on site. So got for £88! But might have tax to pay...

I also almost made a boo boo - almost ordered size 6 not realising it was US sizes but thankfully noticed in time and changed to size 8 UK6...

shopafrolic · 14/10/2015 15:18

Good stuff - am keeping my fingers crossed that they come back in my size as they were an absolute steal.
Anyone still looking for Navy boots?

HappyGirlNow · 14/10/2015 16:00

Yup thanks for posting the photos - that's what drew my attention... Think they appeared to have them in all sizes when I ordered, but only 1 in stock in certain sizes, hope you get them...

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 14/10/2015 16:06

hello all!

had a rough day pain wise to the point i had to leave uni early to come home for medication i don't normally carry with me day to day as it's so strong.

Fingers crossed for the boots Shop how are you feeling now lovey?

OOTD has been black opaques, black suede ankle boots, black sleeveless shift dress with zips on the hips, grey long sleeve tee under the dress, grey ribbed cardigan, red trench coat, purple floral over size scarf and a cream knitted hat with a faux fur pom pom on top. I've been freezing all day up til about half an hour ago

MarshaBrady · 14/10/2015 16:17

I like the dark grey Pettys - someone with smaller feet should get them.

Relaxing on Eurostar with magazines but nicer and quieter in premium economy rather than the usual. So far so good will try not to update you each step Grin

But need to google shop opening hours, doing that now

MarshaBrady · 14/10/2015 16:19

Lara love your long posts, keep them coming!

I love all my clothes (mostly) so it's hard not to want to say all of them. But the Margiela pea coat and possibly Lanvin black dress and boots are forever. Although at some point I would stop wearing the dress I guess.

MarshaBrady · 14/10/2015 16:23

7.30 close, I get in too late with the hour delay. boo Sad

One hope the pain is subsiding a bit now

shopafrolic · 14/10/2015 17:33

Boo hiss Marsha
Getting there One - more test results tomorrow. Hope you're feeling better now.
I have another option Happy but not quite as bargainous as those ones. Will wait till the pink ones arrive to check the sizing first and then order.

KittyHello · 14/10/2015 17:37

Oh no Marsha what a bummer, can you sneak out at lunchtime tomorrow? Grin That Lanvin dress is gorgeous.

Shop hope you get your boots, it's no surprise that I love the grey Pettys but I'm being good.

Happy glad you managed to get your hands on some

One Flowers

have compromised majorly on trainers and have gone for

these ones instead I cba with the faff of ordering the Frye ones from the States and not knowing if they'll fit.

Longislandicetee · 14/10/2015 18:34

Quick message for Shop, back later....

Haven't found my phone yet but I have 2 phones so I have messaged you from my other phone. X

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 14/10/2015 19:02

i'm feeling brighter now, thank you all

fingers crossed for good news tomorrow shop Thanks

QueenCardi · 14/10/2015 20:38

Evening. Glad you feel better one
marsha shame no time to shop. I'd be gutted.

Longislandicetee · 14/10/2015 20:54

Hello! Err yes that was a drunk post from me. I was client entertaining. 2 glasses of champagne, then white wine first course, red wine second course, brandy, followed by gin and tonic.Shock I was staying in a lovely hotel (think you might know it Shop) and went swimming at 6.30am to exercise it all off!

Shop didn't realise you had test results tomorrow. Good luckThanks

One, loved the sound of your outfit. Pity you were freezing! Glad you're better.

Lib OMG my dm would crucify you for no earrings!Wink

Marsha, such a shame. Safe journeys.

My current love is my new black Pashli. Absolutely love it, though it's a little cumbersome.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 14/10/2015 21:06

thanks blingy i think on most other people, it would have been a warm outfit, however, since i feel cold 99.9% of the time, i can be freezing under the duvet and comforter with the heating on full and wearing a onesie under all that!

AmberNectarine · 14/10/2015 21:53

Your DM would hate me blingy, I went to work with absolutely NO jewellery on today, even forgot to put my wedding and engagement rings on!

OOTD was navy fitted polo neck and teal pleather skirt (both Zara) with navy patent courts (R&B) and my navy Gucci disco. Have been loving my burgundy whistles teddy coat this week. So warm.

Had to work on Monday so have tomorrow off. Got a bit of a tax debate so going shopping with my DM :)
