Its that time of year again when our thoughts turn to winter woollies, Christmas jumpers and party dresses. Come and join our musings and purchasing, high end and high street, we love them all.

Shop you're probably out having a lovely lot of wine time. You're great and such a stylish woman, it's just a number, you look incredible, easpecially now you're a winter. .....and I've always admired how your birthday celebrations last days.

Viva have you cut out caffeine? We switched to decaffeinated tea Tetley a few years ago and I can't tell the difference. Drink only one strong coffee a day now.

I was wondering today, as I tried on a black sequinned jacket that really wasn't me at all ...........there is a fine line between dressing "true to yourself" and trying something out of your comfort zone. How do you not stay stuck in a rut if you don't experiment?

Oh no Amber but I fear you might be right, like you were about the Whistles jacket! Gap website is crap. Model was apparently wearing an S but the sizes available to buy were numerical. I got a US size 6 because the size guide said it was a 28 waist. Arrrghhh.

Dry the problem this year is that the celebrations are pretty low key for me. And that's what is making me feel old. No massive meal and drinks out with girlfriends, no clubbing, no two weekends of celebrating. I am being ungrateful as did lunch on Sunday, dinner tonight and will do coffee at a local fancy hotel tomorrow before lunch with DH but it ends there. I normally eek it out for much longer!

Second series of Fargo has just started on C4 Lara. We need to finish GoT and then will get stuck in. I loved the first one too.

I did buy this GoT-inspired gilet yesterday. I think after linking one for the MNV cocktail party I couldn't resist. And also got coated skinnies from New Look, thanks for recommending the TS ones Mara, but they had no 32" and the NL ones were a better fit for me.

I may wear both to DD1's soft play birthday hell on Saturday.

Shop I think I will complain if the skirt doesn't fit me, as I've paid extra to get it before the weekend as I want to wear it out, and their sizing guide would basically be wrong. Fingers crossed. I'm quite heavy at the moment anyway lol :(

Dry I guess you just have to try and find things that fit your style but that you haven't tried yet - I can see you in a sequinned jacket but it would definitely depend on the type of jacket. And maybe the colour of the sequins.

I feel rough today. My GP has put me on a new pill and told me to take it back to back with my last pack. I never do this as the extra hormones really mess with me. I'm all hot and cold, shivery and nauseous today, ugh.

Well, apart from the fact I did a squat workout with 7kg dumbells on Monday and CANNOT move now.

My boots are not Lowlands, they're v similar but a style called Playtime which have a chunky trainer style sole. Less elegant but more practical for me (I walk a lot).

amber I have a mirena but loads of problems although not sure if they're directly mirena related. Seeing the gp again next week and may have it out.

Just at a hospital appt with dd wearing flares. First time I've worn them out as I've put them on a few times but taken them off again. I'm not entirely convinced by them tbh.

Gah!!!! Had a lovely Bellini at Luton Hoo and then came home. Walking back from car I caught the heel of my boot in a drain cover. Ripped the heel and smashed the back of my leg where the metal cover lifted up on my heel and smacked into my calf

Oh Shop ouch, are you ok? :( Should those covers even lift up, surely not? And are the boots going to be ok?

Right, I need to whisper this. Balmain for H&M. Anyone? I know we discussed it before and everyone said it would probably be a bit rubbish, but everything is not that cheap and it all seems to be good quality materials (here).
I really like the red silk mini and the blue top with cords on. Chances of being able to get on the site at 9am are, however, extremely slim. And I hate H&M online because they don't deliver to office addresses!

It was one of those rainwater gulley covers. Long and thin. Not too sturdy. Luckily it is the inside of the heel that seems more damaged and I have managed to stick it back on with Superglue. The outside of the heel is scuffed but not too badly. I have a bruise on my calf but more worried about the boots True Voguette to the end!

Re Balmain for H&M, I think if Gigi Hadid struggles to look good in something then it's def not for me!

I am in a quandry about a dress the trials of a Voguettes life. It's in Other Stories, tried it on a few weeks ago, loved it but decided not as not an autumn colour (but it is warm) and I had spent enough that month. But today I saw someone wearing it with similar colouring and body size/shape as me and I loved it. So now I want it, but really can't justify as it's not worky enough but more dressed up that my usual weekend look....so that's what is occupying my thoughts today in beyween meetings
