Its that time of year again when our thoughts turn to winter woollies, Christmas jumpers and party dresses. Come and join our musings and purchasing, high end and high street, we love them all.

Oh I quite like that dress!

Shop we aren't done yet, that's the activity for the day of the party. Dh looked at me and silently shook his head as I got out of my big box neatly labelled as Halloween decorations! The kids were trying out all the little bits of tat for the party bags. The parents will probably hate me.

Evening,

Had a lovely weekend with friends visiting, really relaxed doing bits of young dc friendly sightseeing and good food and wine especially port and Stilton now its that time of year. Ds got a dinosaur egg from nat hist museum that you put in water and the shell cracks over a few days to reveal baby dinosaur inside. He's beyond excited about the imminent arrival!

Blingy your Halloween party sounds fab, can understand the dcs over excitement! We have loads of homemade decs done by lovely nanny who is so good at crafts but the pumpkins went mouldy and had to throw out.

Marsha coat looks lovely but saw your pic and that you're not sure. I have the Marant one with asymmetric button on my wishlist but fell in love with a pure cashmere MaxMara one but £££££ so going to look in Bicester when am next out that way.

QueenC love the notebook! Actually bought a nice fabric-covered one from Liberty this weekend to be my course journal.

All busy with half term????

Wfh today. Have nipped out with DD to buy a babyliss big hair and get a coffee. Slowly recovering from the weekend

Right oh.......the Dry B and B is now open for the season ....beds made, granite worktops polished, diffusers liberty out, flowers in bottles......the first set arrive today. We have visitors a gogo staying almost every weekend until Christmas . Two very little people coming, I'm a bit worried that my home is no longer childproof and have bleach everywhere

Sounds fab Dry. Earlier today I was sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast with DD and she suddenly wrinkled up her nose and said 'Our house is looking a bit old and rusty Mummy' . It does need a spring clean - need to channel a bit of your energy Dry and refresh the diffusers

DS and I have been to the woods today - such a beautiful day. Lots of stick hunting, kicking of leaves and muddy puddles. Fun times.

Sigh...such a difficult day with DD. We rarely leave her but this weekend with the rugby she spent Saturday with one of my friends and yesterday had an extended at date with another friend and her 3 DC
All people she knows well and likes. Last night she wet the bed (only happens when she is upset) so I have been awake since 4am and all day she has been really sulky and naughty. Just had an exhausting bedtime.... Off to console myself with

dry I've seen this Tippi jumper IRL and I had to think of you.

Been doing jobs this morning and decided to take DS out for lunch with me to my favourite local gastro pub. I was so proud of him. The elderly couple at the next table asked him lots of questions, he was super polite and chatty and they complimented him on his behaviour. Made me smile all the way home. ILs due at tea time.....
