"One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress."
— Karl Lagerfeld

Its that time of year again when our thoughts turn to winter woollies, Christmas jumpers and party dresses. Come and join our musings and purchasing, high end and high street, we love them all.

Lol fedup, have fun!

What are you going to wear the leather skirt with lib?

I am wearing my trusty Chinti&Parker stripey dress from last year and which dry has as well. I usually wear it with my navy or black Jalouses but I've fallen out of love with them a bit so I might try and find other ankle boots with a manageable heel.

MarshaBrady · 24/10/2015 17:18

Would love to get your thoughts on this coat for me Isabel Marant camel cashmere and wool.

Very soft, very lush. But can a new shape for me.

LinusLovesBretons · 24/10/2015 17:47

I think with your height you could really pull off this coat!

shopafrolic · 24/10/2015 20:46

Hmmmm. Not sure about that for you Marsha I think it might swamp you. I've never seen you in camel..... Does it work for you?

VivaVegas · 24/10/2015 21:08

Beautiful coat Marsha but having not met you I can't comment on if it would work for you.
Glad the leather skirt works for you Liberty so good when something opens up lots of outfit options.
I impulsively bought these today, I have skinny ankles so hoping these will work for wearing with both skinnies and skirts/dresses. Several of the shop assistants had them on with opaques and either a black dress or skirt and they looked fab Whistles Boots.

AmberNectarine · 24/10/2015 21:47

I think the coat looked fabulous on you Marsha, I hope you keep!

shopafrolic · 24/10/2015 22:01

I missed the pics?

LinusLovesBretons · 24/10/2015 22:02

Me too?!

MarshaBrady · 24/10/2015 22:03

I need to upload to pin I put a pic on FB. Will do later. I kind of know it's not me but I really love it

MarshaBrady · 24/10/2015 22:07

Have put one up, not the best, but let's see

libertydoddle · 24/10/2015 22:12

I imagine it would look good Marsha. I could see you swishing along in it with your Burberry pitch pants and a sweater.

Rugby was great but we got soaked getting home. Decided to have a bath to warm up but the hot bath plus wine and not much food today left me a bit faint and I has to lie on the bathroom for nearly 20 mins to recover Confused

Love the leather skirt so much. Will have try on session tomorrow but think it will work with fine knit sweaters semi tucked, think I will get a silky polo neck, will work with cream silk shirt tucked in for work to bar. Like the idea of a pussy bow blouse with it too, and with silk tank top and cropped cardigan... Shoes need thinking about.... When I tried it on I had this immediate thought that I could wear it for the next 20 years!

MarshaBrady · 24/10/2015 22:14

Lib how did I miss this?! Which skirt did you get?

In a car on the way home. Such tired DC we never do this but have been out with family. Tg for the extra hour.

libertydoddle · 24/10/2015 22:20

Chocolate brown a-line leather skirt from M&S Marsha. It's on my 'just ordered' board on pin. On phone so can't do links.

Drywhitethanks · 24/10/2015 23:16

Great news about the skirt Liberty
Shop a new kitchen is so exciting.

Re undies, I'm all about the outside Grin ..... Have some v nice sets none expensive but find that I just wear nude t shirt bra boring most of the time, black or white. Love Lacey and balconette style bras but I wear a lot if fitted tops and hate bumps. Knickers are Brazilian or thongs for the gym.
I have to admit when I do wear the nicer sets I do feel much nicer.

QueenCardi · 25/10/2015 07:28

Morning. I've woken up with a cold so feeling a bit rough.
lib you sound so happy about the skirt. So glad it's right.
Time for links....

QueenCardi · 25/10/2015 07:32

shop how do you feel about purple trousers. I can imagine you in these. Although not at the same time as the pink boots!

QueenCardi · 25/10/2015 07:37

for mara

QueenCardi · 25/10/2015 07:48

herecomesthsun · 25/10/2015 08:43

shopafrolic · 25/10/2015 09:26

Love those trousers QueenC

FedupNagging · 25/10/2015 12:38

Herecomesthesun yes those are the SE heels - I love them and they tend to be my go to heels for evening's out.

Am a bit Hmm about the SM hat.

Had a great time last night; danced for hours and no sore feet knees are shot to pieces though!

This bag is rather lovely.

MarshaBrady · 25/10/2015 15:00

Really like the Gucci pants for you Shop

Nice bag Fedup

Love the extra hour today. We all went to bed late last night after going out with the dc. So much appreciated today.

MarshaBrady · 25/10/2015 15:31

Lib great news about the skirt, sounds fab.

Dry I'm the same

Shop brill about kitchen, my bathroom guys start on the 16th Nov too. We can share reno woes joys.

herecomesthsun · 25/10/2015 16:21

I guess with the SE heels I am wondering

  • how comfortable are they
  • how fiddly are they to get on and off?

I live in the countryside and getting out of the house involves a certain amount of clambering over gravel and muddy opening and shutting of the gate.

I have been hankering for some rockstuddy shoes to change into at a potential destination for some time though.

I like midi and maxi skirts and like having a cute shoe to flash.
