DS has excema with a bad patch on his elbow right now, I haven't got any aloe products though. I wonder if snail gel would help? I was just going to get some hydrocortisone.

I got a Missha cushion in the post today, with a couple of refills I really didn't need it because I've still got loads of Clarins stuff but I just couldn't resist any longer. Well, now I see what you're all talking about, brilliant coverage without looking thick and it went on really quickly which is great as I've got to get used to working soon. In fact I might order another one to take in my bag. Happy days.

AngelaRipp0n · 01/09/2015 23:57

I just noticed on reddit there are two new shades of long wear cushion from Innisfree an ivory and deep beige I wonder if that's to cater for more western completions.

lucysmam · 02/09/2015 09:33

I just noticed that post too Angela. I might investigate later on.

I tried snail on dd's neck last time she had an outbreak & while it did soothe the excema, it wasn't as instantly effective as the aloe. I'm going to investigate some full sizes later and compare them on COSDNA. The Holika Holika one seems popular on reddit & the Benton one. Nature Republic's is apparently scented so I'll steer clear of that.

just had an email to say my TK order is on its way Grin and DH has been on a wander through the mall and said it is like selfridges with all different stands.

A great jar vs pump news story.

OP posts:
lucysmam · 02/09/2015 19:47

Interesting link Frugal, thanks.

Have to say, I prefer a pump or tube because I find it easier to control how much comes out rather than taking a scoop from a jar and then realising I have too much so some will be wasted.

That said, I do think a jar (especially a lot of the prettier AB ones) look nicer on display.

Wonder if 'they' could come up with a pretty jar that has a pump dispenser of some sort built in.

FrustratedFrugal · 02/09/2015 20:12

I think a spatula is a great solution to most jar problems. I do like glass jars.

Can any of you remember the name of the foundation site from way back in thread 2 ish? I can't remember it but was going to plug the Holika bb in if I can find it & see what else might match.

GrinAndTonic · 02/09/2015 21:00

Findation?

m0gz · 02/09/2015 21:03

How exciting muddling I think mine took a week to arrive after being marked as shipped.

I'm back at work :( on the plus side I have had lots of compliments since I have been using my cushion. Its so quick to use in the morning and I'm not having to touch it up at all. I need to find a peel of lip tint for work and I'm sorted!

I am also loving a snail mask in the evenings (dh is not so keen!) How often does everyone else use a sheet mask? I'm starting to find them very addictive :)

lucysmam · 02/09/2015 21:12

No, Grin, I think it began with a 'T' but that's as far as I get. I tried Findation & the Holika one I'm using isn't on there.

There is a huge database thread on reddit but I'm not entirely sure how to use it ao will have a look on the laptop tomorrow after taking the girls to school.

m0gz, I've been using a sheet mask every second day ish but some are diy and others are cheap ones from Savers so it doesn't work out too pricey.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 02/09/2015 21:43

Was it temptalia i get emails from them quite a lot when i used the site.
I cant wait till it arrives.
DH has been sending me shopping pictures of things from my list as well as pictures of Mulberry bags from duty free he took while waiting for the flight! The mall ahut early today as they have family day which sounds lovely.

lucysmam · 02/09/2015 21:49

muddling, you're a genius! Yes, it was Star

muddlingalongquitenicely · 02/09/2015 21:53

Blush thank you i just remembered gaving an email from them recently and was trying to remember why i was getting them lol

lucysmam · 02/09/2015 21:53

All that & it's not on there.

ScrambledSmegs · 02/09/2015 23:24

There you all are! You fell off my TIO list and I couldn't find you Sad

We're still unpacking boxes but feels like home now. Although no school yet for DD1 and no wi-fi Shock.

Terrible skin and feel crap - am taking floradix now and it's helping a bit. It's only been a day though so hope I feel a lot better soon. Must be all the stress!

lucysmam · 03/09/2015 09:48

Sounds like hard work Scrambled!

Well, the girls are back to school today so I plan to mooch about t'interweb for a while & maybe start a proper shopping list for my next haul instead of the rather scribbled on one I've been using at the mo.

I'm currently eating a bacon sarny & debating whether to email Skin18 about the lack of free masks after they emailed a freebies invoice at the end of July. I can't quite decide how to word it though or if it's cheeky to chase up a freebie!

lucysmam · 03/09/2015 10:41

I'm looking for a fancy cushion case on ebay but coming up empty handed Confused

lucysmam · 03/09/2015 11:01

Interesting article about bees that I thought some of you might enjoy Smile

AngelaRipp0n · 03/09/2015 11:25

I finally got around to trying the peel off lip tint I bought, I can't link but it was £1.59 on eBay and listed as magic tattoo peel off lip I bought colour 2. I hadn't realised that the colour in the tube is way more intense as its a peel off so had been put off when it first arrived, but gave it a go and it's a no from me. My problems with it is that it's too liquid and hard to control so I ended up looking like the joker and then panicked thinking I'd have stained joker lips all day. Actually I managed to get it off-ish, but Dd's did ask why my chin was so red when they got in from school yesterday so maybe not.

If anyone wants it, obviously it has been used once, I'm happy to put it in the post.

I've had a bit of an order fest with some left over birthday money and have had lots of goodies arriving, all the classics really, Benton snail bee, Cosrx stuff etc. I also got some Cosrx silk blackhead finger balls for my teen dd's to try and the funny velcro hair things came. They're just bits of shoes Velcro, but actually very effective at keeping my heavy floppy long fringe out of my face although not for public consumption.

AngelaRipp0n · 03/09/2015 11:26

Shaped Velcro! Shoes Velcro would be really strange.

lucysmam · 03/09/2015 12:36

Grin Angela, the velcro thingys are on my list. I'm hoping they'll hold my thick hair out of the way without flattening it like my hairband does.

Does your lip tint have a brush or do you apply it with the tube iyswim? I think I saw some with brushes the other day which might make it easier to control maybe.

My girls love the bright blood red colour mine goes on as...I'm certainly not brave enough to leave the house wearing that much colour though! I also found out that bright red lips make my teeth look really yellow Hmm. I'm guessing it's to do with the colour since when I peel it, they look normal again.

I'm confused by reddit's giant list of bb creams! I can't decide if the ones swatched/listed together are the same sort of shades iyswim or it's just a massive list of swatch links Confused. I'm trying to find other brands to order samples from but might give up at this rate.

derektheladyhamster · 03/09/2015 13:28

How pale are the missha bb cushions? I'm pale, ivory. Not usually the palest colour but the next one up. Should I go shade 21 or 23?

FrustratedFrugal · 03/09/2015 17:00

#23 definitely, or even darker. I am super pale (Ivory in Colorstay, NW5-10 in MAC) and can get off with #21.

My sympathies Scrambled! My routine is broken too atm and my skin is temperamental and breaking out. Not sure why. Stress, hormones, not having time for full routines, not having time for sleep masks.

I also have a weird numb peeling patch on my upper lip that is driving me crazy. Sun damage, viral infection, irritation from a product?

OP posts:
lucysmam · 03/09/2015 22:09

Do any of you know if retinoids help with blackheads? & are ok for just short term use? I'm wondering if one might help with the stubborn blackheads and cc's and then switch back to acids?

I'll do some googling over the weekend but any thoughts would be good Smile
