Argh! That sounds grim!!!!

Yes I've seen a few bee venom things Out there.

Still reticent about the snail slime thing too!

I'll stick to my sheet masks for now 😆

CheeseAndOnionWalkers · 08/04/2016 18:39

Les- I think your sample is Missha.

CheeseAndOnionWalkers · 08/04/2016 18:49

X post you answered your own question.

FrustratedFrugal · 08/04/2016 19:29

Thanks Les! I searched Jolse and yay, I found a Missha Signature cushion and ordered it! I agree that the BB cream is great, I have a tube of it, but the shade #13 that I have is too pale for me right now so I'll give #21 a try. IOPE etc looked tempting too but they are over the VAT free limit so not risking it.

Whoops, I may have ordered the Hera UV Mist cushion as well. I blame 50 Shades of Snail. In my defense, I used up my Missha Magic cushion last year (and loved it), have finished two tubes of Dr Jart Premium and will run out of Perfect Cover soon Wink

Shutting up now but really liked this cushion comparison.

Thank you Cheese I think I was super excited that I might have been blessed with a Sulwhasoo sample! Even so, I really hope it does wonderful things as a) it has little gold flakes in it and b) the bottle is so pretty

Ooh Frugal please report back on what you think of the cushions! I've not tried any cushions yet so looking forward to exploring them. Dermarolling night tonight so my face looks like this Angry.

SlinkyVagabond · 11/04/2016 17:37

Whoo! My missha Magic cushion arrived (no samples-boo) I've put it on half my face as a comparison with the zombie Bb cream applied this morning. It's lovely, all glowy and moist. What's the best application method? Press or swipe? I'm leaning to press. I may have ordered missha Magic mascara too. Oops. I have got something else due but can't remember what.

SlinkyVagabond · 11/04/2016 17:39

I know tony moly peach hand cream for dd and a baby foot treatment.

FrustratedFrugal · 11/04/2016 18:23

Slinky I'd say pat-pat-pat - no dragging.
I'm using up a tube of Dr Jart Water-fuse BB cream while I am waiting for my parcels. It is a sheer BB cream that makes my skin look prettier and more polished. I love cushions because they are so quick and convenient but this isn't a bad product either.

I tried the Kiss Me Heroine waterproof mascara for the first time today. It hardly budged even though my eyes were watering with the wind at the park. It is Japanese but available on Amazon I think.

I was more impressed than with the Benefit Roller Lash I also tried this week which was kind of smudged by the end of the day despite no watering eyes.

Tonight I did a Bravura lactic acid peel (non AB, UK). Currently sheetmasking with a Benton Snail Bee High Content mask. Mmmmmm.....

scandichick · 11/04/2016 22:05

What's it like getting the Kiss Me mascara off? I'm scarred from my encounter with Benefit's They're Real, took bloody ages to remove.

I finally used one of the sheet masks I ordered when I was pregnant, thinking I'd wear them during clusterfeeding marathons Blush - no, that didn't happen...

The silicon mask holder I got off Amazon was uncomfortable over the ears, anyone got the mythical Daiso one all the redditors are on about? Does it sound similar?

building2016 · 11/04/2016 22:54

I had to go over the mascara a few times to get it off, yes. I used my Banila Clean it Zero twice and then went over it again with micellar water before using my foaming cleaners (Hada Labo) and that seemed to sort it out.

FrustratedFrugal · 12/04/2016 20:19

I sometimes use Sensai 38 mascara, only very hot water shifts it.

Thanks, building, that's very helpful - definitely not for me then. I have the same cleansers as you do, so I can appreciate its staying power Smile

building2016 · 13/04/2016 12:42

See for me it is worth it. I cry fairly frequently (bit of an emotional fish) and my eyes water at the slightest touch of wind or cold air. Plus just not Al mascara smudging annoys the hell out of me. So a bit of extra work getting it off is worth it!

building2016 · 13/04/2016 12:42

*normal

AuroraPolaris · 15/04/2016 11:56

Thanks for the tip, botemp. I can always ask the nice ladies at the Bijenkorf for a little sample when it's out ;) I did use the Clinique even better SPF 30 (or 40?) a couple of years ago and found it pretty good (just for daily exposure, not for holiday). Though the big Q is of course it being mineral - will it leave a white film?

Just back from Paris and bought the new Bioderma SPF30 spray. Silicone is relatively low on the INCI list and as its only 10€ I decided to risk it. I've only used it once since I've had some minor food related skin disasters the last couple of weeks, so am careful with new stuff. From that one time I have to say it did feel like I had something a bit powdery on my face, though it's completely traceless, and obvs the benefit of just spraying over whatever else you've slathered in your face that day is enormous! I checked all the other Bioderma SPF and sadly they all had silicone pretty high up in the INCI.

Ah, French pharmacies are a little bit of heaven...

I've also ordered the new Anessa medicated whitening SPF50 but it hasen't arrived yet.... Seeing that it was again 10 degrees this morning...

SplatPancake · 15/04/2016 12:51

Well I've been using the FTE essence and borabit - both v nice.

The LaNeige sleeping pack was OK, i wouldn't bother with the TonyMoly banana - unless you've got a thing for fake banana smell (BOAK).

The Panda's Dream cream was fabulous - I am v pale though, so I don't know how it would work with others. But certainly helped reduce redness from old spots/scars/marks. I'll definitely order a pot of that.

The Bee Snail mask - I'll have to give another go, it's lost in the mists of the Easter holidays (was that really only a week ago??)

I've also started using Missha Super Aqua fresh cleansing milk - which is so much nicer than the Tata Harper cleanser I'm trying to use up. No samples in that pack.

I'm having the very odd tiny little mini breakout from something - you know, small spot there one day, gone the next. I've been really careful about introducing things over time, so am not sure what's actually doing it. I'd hazard a guess at sleeping pack or UV Watery essence. It's not a major issue, but I'll try to get to the bottom of it.

botemp · 15/04/2016 17:24

I did see it at the Bijenkorf the other week Aurora, unfortunately it had silicones and for such a fluid formula it was slightly thicker and stickier than I expected. White cast was there but it disappeared quite quickly. Bottle was teeny tiny, so I think it's a bit of a no.

Interesting about the powdery finish on the Bioderma, though I don't think I'd mind that too much in summer. I'll add it to my next French pharmacy order, am in need of some things anyhow. I'm going to try the easypharmacie one you recommended.

I'm actually really quite impressed with my Sekkisei Sun Protect Essence Milk sunscreen that I tried out because it was good for outdoors but had a number of normally discriminated against ingredients in it but it's behaving surprisingly well.

AuroraPolaris · 15/04/2016 19:05

Pity about the silicones in the Clinique botemp. I think they are now introducing more and more of them into their products, like with the smart serum.

If you end up ordering from easypharmacie and you like Weleda body oils or shower gels have a look, cause their prices are amazing (half of the retail price here in NL at times).

lelf79 · 16/04/2016 14:59

splat do you find the pandas dream cream hard to rub in? i really want to try it to tone down red patches but i'm worried about getting a white cast as i'm not so pale and i've heard its not easy to apply. What's your experience of this?

I've just been testing some samples of the neulli snail bee serum, texture seems quite snaily but i've been using it for just over a week and haven't had any breakouts. It seems quite moisturising as well and easily absorbed. Has anyone else tried any of the neulli stuff?

FrustratedFrugal · 16/04/2016 15:06

I've just received two tubes of Bioré and the Hera UV Mist cushion

OP posts:
LesIncompetents · 16/04/2016 18:57

I have ordered:
Lululun red face masks
Goodal lasting water oil
Corsx overnight rice mask
Missha signature bb cream #23 as the #21 sample was a tad pale.

Now for the looong wait

jackiekatu · 27/05/2016 20:08
