I've got the berrisom vivid scarlet. I thought a splash of my usual brown lip gloss would tone it down yesterday but it made it pop even more! I didn't notice much transfer but i will check again today.

What other brands of masks would you recommend lucysmam I'm writing a back to work shopping list to cheer me up. I think anything plumping, soothing and anti redness and cheap is what I'm looking for

lucysmam · 27/08/2015 11:38

Try Lebelage sheet masks m0gz here. I've tried the egg, aloe, snail and royal jelly ones. All are soothing, helped with the lurvely hormonal outbreak the other week.

The egg one I used last night made me itch though, but that was more than likely because of the cleansing lotion already irritating. It didn't the other two times Confused

The 69p savers 'radiate & bright' or something like that is alright for the money (I'll check the name next time I nip upstairs). The brightening is only temporary but definitely there.

I like the Innisfree Manuka honey too - smells like honey and very soothing.

I have a 3 pack of Vanedo Beauty Friends snail ones on their way, they were £1.93 ish. They haven't arrived yet so I have no idea what they're like.

This nature republic shea butter one is up at the top end of what I'm comfortable spending on a single mask I think (but I haven't tried anything more expensive yet). It was lovely though - the essence is more of a lotion, it smells beautiful, & it moisturised really really well.

& I don't rate the Superdrug own ones so far - but have only tried the one at the mo, I have another two as they were on 3for2. I'll report back on the others as I try them.

(I bet this is epic! Grin )

lucysmam · 27/08/2015 12:21

The savers 69p one is a Beauty Formulas Radiate & Glow Brightening Facial Mask.

I'm trying to remember which cheap one I was really pleased with the initial plumping/brightening effect from & think it was most likely this one.

FizzyWorm · 27/08/2015 16:31

Hello all, just wondered where you order My Beauty Diary masks from? Am concerned about fakes etc!

ScrambledSmegs · 27/08/2015 19:32

We've moved! I'm surrounded by boxes. So tired. Probably will have to do a reduced routine today as am near to collapse.

FrustratedFrugal · 27/08/2015 19:45

Scrambled yay! Well done! The boxes can be pretty scary... Do give us updates! But I am sure the huge effort will be worth it! We had a pretty fabulous place in Rome but I am in love with our airy light-filled new home. Vintage Scandi furniture, old parquet floors, bay windows, rooftop views, a tiny balcony where I can take my tea, ships honking and the sea at the end of our street! I am enjoying the fresh vibe and sunny days, working in a cafe several mornings per week.

I've simplified my routine, sunscreen, cushion, acid pads (not every day) and sometimes also sleeping masks and Nuxe Reve de Miel. So happy with my face!

lucysmam · 27/08/2015 20:16

Ooh, enjoy your new home Scrambled!

Frugal, you sound very satisfied with life at the moment Smile

I still haven't worked out what it was in the cream cleanser that irritated my face last night but the COSRX stung tonight so I'm going to skip the acids and concentrate on moisture/hydration for the next week or so Sad

muddlingalongquitenicely · 27/08/2015 21:12

oh dear I shouldn't have gone on TK website Blush on the bright side i have added everything on DH list to the wish list so at least he has a picture of the item I have asked him to get.

seen a few more bits and pieces though i would like to get, will order it myself i wonder what will arrive quicker DH or TK order...

lucysmam · 27/08/2015 21:14

What other bits did you order muddling? How long is your dh away?

muddlingalongquitenicely · 27/08/2015 21:46

mascara, Missha cushion and a petite bb cream.

he is away for 3 weeks Sad

AngelaRipp0n · 27/08/2015 21:47

Ilove - Angela used to read the news.

Scrambled, hope it all goes well, the unpacking is much more fun then packing.

I've taken delivery of a vitamin c serum I bought on eBay, I can't find the listing now, but made by an individual in different strengths so I ordered 20%. It was about £7 and I did email to ask of it was freshly made and how long before oxidising etc. it came in a clear bottle, which I'm surprised about and is more like a cream in texture then a serum. I'll give it a go, but the cream texture isn't great when it's the first thing to go on.

In other news Ive been offered a job, my first full time job since I had my 16 year old!

lucysmam · 27/08/2015 22:25

Ooh, that's a long time muddling! & here's me fretting about my dp going away for three days.

Which Missha cushion did you go for? (Don't say Betty Boo! I'm trying to resist Grin ) My money's on your goodies being super dooper speedy!

Angela, I'm loving your handy hint there Grin. Is the C serum very cream like in texture? What sort of job is it?

I'm not liking mobile rather than app. On the upside, I now scroll so mini-posts should happen less often!

muddlingalongquitenicely · 28/08/2015 06:35

Oops it wasnt a Missha one but a apieu(?) one it was quite cheap I thought I could try it before getting any others. Just going to add some face masks to the order before paying.

Which method is the best for shipping?

lucysmam · 28/08/2015 09:20

I have one cushion in my ebay wishlist to see what the shade is like on me. I might order another when I have some spends but it's a bit hit & miss.

I have no idea which shipping option is best, I always pick the ones with free shipping on ebay. Sure the shipping is built into the cost but there's not that much difference in the prices really.

lucysmam · 28/08/2015 14:27

My hunt for a hydrogel type mask in town was unsuccessful Sad

I nipped in Holland & Barrett...one shelf of pricey snail stuff (£20 for a gel cream anyone?) It smelled nice & the texture was like the wine sleeping packs but still, £20 when you can buy something for £3.50 ish Confused

wickedfairy · 28/08/2015 17:00

Wow - found you guys again!!

Have been on hols for the last month, so have a load of reading up to do on the last thread to catch up!! Was hot where we were but stuck with my Biore sunscreen (had to top up with sterner stuff some days, when it was really hot) and cleansed, etc with my usual Korean stuff. I haven't really got too much of colour, although I have loads of freckles everywhere, which is still sun-damage, I suppose....

Didn't quite do the full routine, so looking forward to getting back into it now that I am home. Will start the mammoth read of the threads now and will check back in later!

Hope you are all getting on well with AB :-)

derektheladyhamster · 28/08/2015 17:17

Pound world have stopped selling the clearasil pad hyperventilates Shock

lucysmam · 28/08/2015 17:27

derek, my local Bargain Buys has run out of stock too Sad. I presume they were excess stock from somewhere - they were all dated to expire this month.

99p stores sometimes have them, or Savers charge £3.39 or some random amount like that for them - cheaper than the £5.50 ish rrp Smile

WizzardHat · 28/08/2015 20:05

For whoever it was that was worried about customs charges, the ebay sellers I've used so far have all ticked that it was a gift for $7. I've just tried another one and now I've read that i'm a bit worried...

I've been using the skin stuff for a few months now, and starting t branch out into makeup. I don't often wear any normally, but I'm just so much more used to patting stuff into my face now! I've got the Missha Cho Bo Yang BB cream and it's nice. Heavier than I've used before, but it gives a nice effect if I apply it with a brush. Tonymoly pure aura CC cream is lovely though. Much lighter and it just gives such a glow!

I need to check those lip tints someone else posted now.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 29/08/2015 10:47

Ordered parcel from Tk cost 6000krw for delivery and my parcel came to £15.92 including postage hope it will be ok. DH leaves in an hour so we shall see who delivers the goods first!

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 29/08/2015 11:02

Just back from two weeks in sharm. Used either biore or the missha in the pink tube and never burnt once!(am very pale naturally) Swimming lots and still ok. Trouble is dd is now a convert, so two tubes to order. Used an innisfree collagen gift set everyday. Skin is lovely. And snail serum on sunburn (a snorkelling accident-the leg of my swimsuit rode up.Blush )

FrustratedFrugal · 29/08/2015 12:28

I flipped the sponge in my cushion and even the flip side is almost dry! So I will be DIYing soon... Have you liked your DIY concoctions?

I've been so busy that I had totally forgotten to pick up my Missha FTE from the post office arrived two weeks ago. Finally found the time and thank god it was still there - they said they would have sent it back to Germany on Monday Blush

lucysmam · 29/08/2015 21:11

Not at all ab but I've just tried the Garnier micellar water with the pink top to take off my eye make up before my shower. The last few emu removers I've tried have been absolute shite but I'm quite impressed with this.

It was only 99p for the little bottle (while school shoe shopping - ended up with flashing Frozen ones for dd2 ) so figured it was worth a go.

Am also going to try it as a second (?) cleanse one night when we have no plans the next day - just to see what it's like for the rest.

In other news, I think my face is missing the acids Sad. I have a collection of cc's growing along my jaw line ish again & odd ones on my forehead where it was completely clear before.

YMMV is not good when you decide to try something you find lurking in a storage bag just to get rid & it makes you sore Sad

Just about to try a MBD hyaluronic acid moisturising mask (and drink wine through a straw Grin ), I've been saving it for a pampering evening all to myself!

m0gz · 29/08/2015 21:56

My order was a bit more than that muddling and it got here OK.

frugal have you decided on a diy recipe for you cushion? I have to say I am loving the coverage from the missha cushion so I may order some of the bb cream to top up my cushion.

lucysmam thank you for the info on the sheet masks. I thought I had a lebelage snail mask as the picture was the same but its actually a natures republic one. I have a pack of the Holland barret snail mask if you would like to try it? It broke me out like the Benton :( I think I only like cheap snails Grin

In other news I had my very first "your skin is looking good today". Admittedly it was from my 70 yr old mother who has bad eye sight and she was converting my mua lipsticks at the time but its still nice to hear!

lucysmam · 29/08/2015 22:20

I may need more mbd masks! It was really nice. Wet but not drippy wet (no excess in the packet for an extra mask & didn't have loads to rub into neck/decolettage/forearms like with many of the ones I've tried).

Good fit for my face, smells lotion-ey but not overpowering. Haven't got up to look in the mirror & see if there are any 'improvements' as it were, but I could happily have sat for longer wearing it.

m0gz, if you wouldn't mind I'd like to try the H&B mask. Is there anything you might like to try in return? I have some Lebelage Royal Jelly and Aloe on their way to me now so could pop a couple of those in the post for you to try? Smile
