I have just tried the missha cushion. Application is super quick with not bad coverage over some of the redder scars. I think no.23 is a tad too dark for me. I did have the plain missha case with refills in no.21 in my basket but it went out of stock while I was browsing so I took a chance on the 23. I wasn't going to go for the special edition case either but I think I'm going to get sucked into the different designs!

I also have the apieu cushion in no.21 to try.

I have the lip tint on. It seems to be taking ages to dry. Hoping its not too bright a colour or hard to take off as I promised the DC a trip to the park Grin

mowglik · 26/08/2015 18:14

Wow mogz £6.30 for the case is really cheap! I bought the missha magic cushion for about £6.50 but it didn't come with any refills

I really enjoy using the cushion but only use it around the centre of my face because the shade is a bit light. I am off on hols tomorrow and your post has tempted me to make up a quick DIY mix to try while away

lucysmam · 26/08/2015 19:48

Urgh, something is not right. My skin feels um...tight isn't quite the word but not sure what is.

Only thing I've changed is from using the Missha cleanser to a cream one I found in one of my bags & figured I'd use up. It's only a Boots cucumber one but is almost full so seems quite a waste to chuck it.

Any other uses for cream cleansers anyone can think of?

XiCi · 26/08/2015 20:35

Ooh m0gz, you have got some real bargains there. I ordered the Betty boop for my niece and paid nearly twice that. Where did you order from?

I like the Missha bb cushion but it doesn't have the coverage or longevity that I need for a regular bb/foundation. It's great to carry round for touch ups though

Lucysmam was it you that wanted the etude house animal ear hair band. I seem to remember it shot up in price but it's down to 3 quid again now. They're super cute, my dd has stolen it from me! It's here m.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=Etude+house+etti&isNewKw=1&undefined=&cnm=&mfs=&acimp=&_trksid=&sqp=etude+house+etti

lucysmam · 26/08/2015 20:43

oooh, thanks XiCi, yes it was me Grin easily suckered in by the skincaretainment thing I am.

I need to re-stock sheet masks - the only calming/soothing ones I have left are egg or aloe! I'm out of honey, propolis, royal jelly and snail Shock

Lots and lots of hydrating layers and a mask tonight -hopefully sort my face before it gets any more pissed off with me. I've done so well & now one random thing has made it feel all wrong Sad

GrinAndTonic · 26/08/2015 20:56

Hello all!

Not much to report here. Apart from the bloody government now placing GST on all online purchases! It was originally for purchases over $1000. Not anymore. They ignore mega corporations not paying tax but are happy to tax theplebs. Bloody Tony Abbott!

My Benton snail bee lotion arrived. It's a bit tingly when I apply it but that seems to be easing? Do you keep it in the fridge or will a dark place do?

M0gz I found the apeiu cushion had a lovely feel and coverage but was much to dull and grey for me.
If I'm happy with holika holika bubble cream in #23 then the missha cushion should work? I want to try something else.

Now I just have to wait for my cosrx aha and BHA lotions to arrive and my oct c20.

ilovetosleep · 26/08/2015 21:14

Hello everyone! Its been weeks since I posted here, been a crazy summer holiday (some good some bad) but I have been lurking a lot and seeing what you're all buying. Before I forget, I saw your photo lucysmam on your thread about hair and your skin is amazing! Its so lovely to see such great skin after having read these threads for so long.

Have had a rollercoaster ride with my skin. Had a real wobble last week when I realised that actually I think my skin was better when I slept in my make up and used a token night cream a few times a week. I have spent god knows how much since April and I have blocked pores /pimples on my cheeks for the first time in my life :( One one hand I have really reduced some redness and tackled the dehydration, but on the other hand I have these closed comedones. Only a few tiny ones but still, its new for me. I have been cutting out products for the last fortnight and I think I've narrowed it down to either LRP physiological cleanser ( which astoundingly scores a 5 for acne trigger on cosdna) or Hylamide Sub Q - the most expenisve produt I own! Or, final possibility is make up. Before I discovered skin care I didn't wear make up daily and admittedly looked a bit haggard (tired, dull skin more than anything else). Ironically, despite wanting to get fab skin so I can go make up free, caring more about my face has meant I actually wear make up more frequently and I wonder if the bb creams/ mineral powder I've been using is clogging me up.

Anyway, I'm really hoping to have it sussed now (no new spots for 24 hours!) and I can start reintroducing products (again - a few months ago I had to do the same thing becasue I damaged my moisture barrier and was really dry and sore!)

I really thought I had settled on a good routine too - Double cleanse with Emma Hardie and LRP, Hylamide in the morning followed by REN day cream, Benton Snail Bee and Missha Longer Name in the evening followed by CeravePM. CosRX Blackhead and Bravura AHA toner on alternate nights. Now I'm currently down to just moisturiser! And dehydration is beginning to show - my fine lines are more visible and I am dry and flaky around my nose.

I'm really tempted actually to start using LRP Redermic retinol serum before introducing anything back in. I have some in the drawer that I tried once at a bad time and gave up because I wasn't sure what was causing dryness. I'd like to see if I get any visible improvements from it without having other actives thrown into the mix.

Really loving the Missha cushion case m0gz. A cushion is next on my wishlist but don't know where to start really. Is missha 23 yellowy or pinky? I need a warmer yellowy tone.

Also liking the look of the lip tints. Does anyone know anything about lip masks? I have a lovely new MUC nude lipstick (also a S&B recommendation) but it just shows up how neglected my dry lips are. Need a really intensive over night treatment I think as I never remember to apply lip balm during the day.

Now I need to go to attend to the still-non-sleeping baby....

m0gz · 26/08/2015 21:18

XiCi I ordered the Betty Boop from Tester Korea My order sat on standby for a week but arrived a week after it was marked shipped so I may have to place another order & practice some patience Grin

I also got some MJ Care sheet masks from them. I know they are a 'budget' brand but for about 27p each I thought it was worth a try.

lucysmam I hope your face is feeling better after a soothing mask. I hate chucking things away but I'm learning to move on if something does not work for me. What has helped most with the move on mentality is that this thread keeps giving me inspiration to try new things and I can do it without breaking my budget too much.

I love the cushion and the lip tint. Although 23 is darker than I would normally go for, I think it has given me more of a 'glow'. And it is by no means an orange glow that I normally get from western foundations. I may order a refill in 21 just to check how they compare :)

I would definitely try the 23 Grin Have you tried mixing some of the holika in the apieu to see if it improves the colour?

lucysmam · 26/08/2015 21:26

Aw, thanks ilove Grin that's put a proper smile on my face! Sorry to see you're still struggling with your products though Sad

I wonder if there's a certain ingredient in the ones you've narrowed it down to that's irritating you?

I think I'd stick to introducing moisturising steps for now & then actives very verrrrry slowly.

What lippy did you buy? I'm quite enjoying lip products at the mo! I started a thread about lipcare on reddit yesterday which was interesting - here - if you fancy a read. You might find something useful in there.

I tend to find more water and trying not to pick at the dry bits helps Smile

lucysmam · 26/08/2015 21:29

m0gz, yep, I think it'll be going in the bin. I feel bad chucking it with hardly any gone but there's no point hanging onto something that doesn't work - I tend to be a user-upper iyswim.

I used to proper hoard stuff & it took a while to 'train' myself to not just buy for the sake of it & actually use what I have before buying more more more.

I'm in two minds now as to whether to add a gel cleanser to my list - I've got a feeling that I might find the same thing happens again. Maybe a sample or two is the way to go first on that one.

ilovetosleep · 26/08/2015 21:30

I bought MUA 14 (and a few others which ween't such a hit) and I really love it - I'm never very good at remembering to wear lipstick and this was a random purchase as I was ordering some eye shadow palettes (they are bargainous too)

m0gz · 26/08/2015 21:31

ilovetosleep your skin sounds a bit like mine - it loves a night in makeup grrr. I'm prone to blockages, redness and dehydration. I didn't get on with the Benton snail bee so that would be the first thing I would drop. Have you tried a simple cleanser like cetaphil or cerave?

After an initial purge, my skin loved the tretinoin. I stopped at the start of summer (worried I would forget my sunscreen and have my face fall off) but seeing as we are back to grey skies and rain I may reintroduce it.

If you want a good cheap exfoliator for your lips get a 99p tint from eBay - you peel it off and it leaves your lips lovely and smooth and red hours after application :)

lucysmam · 26/08/2015 21:43

I was looking for 11 and 14 last week but all our local Superdrug had was a rack full of scratty looking testers Sad

I did pick up a black eyeliner for a quid though which doesn't race off down my face Grin and an eyeshadow palette. I'm not very good at blending eyeshadows so it'll take me a while to get through single colours at a time!

goodasitgets · 26/08/2015 21:58

Just ordered some samples of Missha FTE
Pic of my exceedingly happy skin Grin

ilovetosleep · 26/08/2015 22:20

lucysmam my MUA eyeliner smudges really easily?

m0gz I think my skin rally liked Benton. I stopped using it a while ago as only had samples and actually the blockages got worse after I stopped. I'm In two minds about whether to order any more. I loved it but am worried about the Arbutin in it. I have read that it is one of the proper whitening ingredients and I'm not sure I want to be any paler!

lucysmam · 26/08/2015 22:24

ilove, my previous was from a two pack from Primarni...this is miles better than that wasGrin . I'm ordering one of the Holika Holika ones on my next 'haul'.

lucysmam · 26/08/2015 22:27

I'm now itchy Hmm

Not a good face night here Sad . Thankfully no visible signs of irritation. We'll see what it's like in the morning after a layer of the Daiso hyaluronic sleeping pack. It's one of the few things I have that isn't scented & I don't want to push my luck with anything else.

AngelaRipp0n · 27/08/2015 00:51

Good to see you back Ilove, I had wondered where you'd got to.

Goodasitgets your skin looks amazing and I'm now off to stalk Lucysmam to see hers too Grin.

I forgot to use the lip tint tonight, so will have a try tomorrow.

Grin that sounds crap, how much is GST? Thats a mad idea.

ilovetosleep · 27/08/2015 08:45

angela I saw on the last thread that you have name changed but I still can't figure out who you were!

mogz have you found a way of tackling the blockages? Nothing comes to a head I just have tiny little pink pimples. I used cod rx blackhead last night after having not used it for about 10days. No adverse reaction that I can see but will be taking it v slowly.

lucysmam · 27/08/2015 08:54

Morning all Smile

My face feels normal this morning - haven't checked in a mirror yet but fingers crossed it's back to normal.

lucysmam · 27/08/2015 09:40

Phew, just two small whiteheads in unusual (for me ) places. We're not going anywhere today so I'll add extra layers into this morning's routine & hopefully they'll bugger off on their own.

It's a good job we stayed home yesterday too...I managed to get vitamin c serum in my hairline & it oxidised to a fetching bright orange colour Grin Must pay more attention!

m0gz · 27/08/2015 10:12

For the blockages I am finding a tag team of cetaphil, superdrug serum, clearasil pad, effaclar duo and snail gel to be working very well. When my skin is feeling very congested I have to keep it this simple. It is definitely not as often as it was but I still have to be careful at times. I also do the mud mask clearing routine once a week. Having said that the best thing ever has been regular use of the tretinoin.

The headless painful pink pimples are normally the first sign of a reaction for me :( I had a mass break out of these each time I tried the Benton snail bee. I am yet to try the cosrx but I did order the cosrx patches so I am prepared for the next months chin monsters.

I wish I had taken a before and after of my face (its not a patch on the beautiful goodasitgets Grin) but I can't believe the difference this morning after using the mj snail mask last night followed by the snail gel. My skin is plumper and the red marks have faded. I know this is probably temporary but I'm going to order a load more!

Glad your face is feeling better lucysmam which shade of lip tint did you get? I still have a slight tint this morning, it won't come off Blush

lucysmam · 27/08/2015 10:18

Grin it's called watermelon but goes on a really bright blood red! What did you go for? I suspect using the glittery balm probably helped mine along - I imagine the tiny glitter pieces exfoliated it away a bit.

lucysmam · 27/08/2015 10:24

I quite like the MJ care masks, they're probably not the best out there but I've used their silk and platinum & found them soothing and my face does look more bouncy after use.

Do any of you know of an actual high street shop that might have a hydrogel I could try this weekend for not too much £££? I thought maybe Holland & Barrett would be a good start.

I'm going to re-purpose last night's disaster cleanser as a sink cleaner & see what sort of job it does out of interest! I'm not sure what it was that made me uncomfy, I'm not usually sensitive to any of the ingredients (ran through COSDNA this morning).

lucysmam · 27/08/2015 10:55

Hmmm; I've gone for just a normal stick lip balm today over the peel off tint & there's still a really little bit of pink transferring to my coffee cup.
