It is indeed Happy Hour 4-6 on Saturdays with 241 cocktails. Cross your fingers crepeys!

motherinferior · 07/09/2015 17:59

And they were large cocktails.

MrsSchadenfreude · 07/09/2015 18:43

Mmm, cocktails.

Lalsy · 07/09/2015 19:13

LTB Molly Grin

Blackduck · 07/09/2015 20:37

Oh tapas sounds good - that French place was less good for me as I don't eat meat...

Rosebag · 07/09/2015 20:48

Grin molly

Kings cross tapas is great....lots of non meat options, if memory serves...

Stropperella · 07/09/2015 20:59

Phew, managed to just about meet all today's deadlines. And dd went in to school on time. Not hopeful about tomorrow, however, as she has gone out tonight - a last hurrah for some of those from the year above who are off to uni, I gather. She is going with the Maths, Biology, French A level combo, apparently. I am trying to take it all a day at a time.

I have a massive bruise down the side of my face from the dodgems incident yesterday. And it's clearly going to be even bigger by tomorrow. Ouch.

BTM, sorry to hear you may have lost your cash, but good that a solution has been found for making the booking anyhow.

Sorry, I have totally not caught up with the thread and am slightly lost. I would like to come on the 26th, but I need to ascertain what dd is doing that w/e, as given the still iffy situation between her and dh (they were more "normal" last night, but things are still extremely frosty)... well, it's complicated. The other pesky thing is that I am supposed to be at some family thing in Belgium that w/e. If I do manage to come to the Crepey Summit, you'll have to promise not to mention me on any reports on FB, as otherwise I will get into even more massive trouble than I'm already in for my lack of commitment to the Belgian shindig. Ah, the aggressively peculiar nature of some people in my family..

Blackduck · 07/09/2015 21:17

Oh please come Stropps - haven't seen you in an age :)

GiddyGiddyGoat · 07/09/2015 22:17

Really hope you can join us Stropps! X

Auriga · 07/09/2015 23:44

Can I come too? And yes, Stropps, please come and we'll all keep quiet on FB.

Talking of FB, what I noticed about your pic, MI, was how non-crepey you look. You still have a discernible neck & appear positively fresh-faced Envy

Have just spent a delightful interlude singing in Norfolk for a friend's special birthday. He chose a small group, sent us the music to learn & arranged a workshop rehearsal for us in London with a fabulous soprano tutor. Then he put us all up in a converted mill on the coast, with picnics, walks & sunshine, & we sang for his family & friends before dinner. He chose a beautiful programme and it went like a dream. Later the guitars came out & we remembered loads of old favourites, including, in my case, some Gaelic ones & some Burns. Two of the people there sang at our wedding & there were several people I've known for 30 years, so it was great. And reminded me that music, when it goes well, is the best thing in the world.

bigTillyMint · 08/09/2015 06:49

Got my fingers crossed Stropps! And yes, please do, AurigaSmile I am waiting to hear back from Kings X...

motherinferior · 08/09/2015 09:55

for what Tiddly would call t p s?

I have Ladyjogged and Ladysplashed this week. Feel much better for it.

BeachysFlipFlops · 08/09/2015 09:57

If they don't come back positively, BTM, Camino's (the tapas place) has just opened up behind the Tate Modern as well..... Same menu etc

herbaceous · 08/09/2015 10:07

Auriga - that sound just wonderful. I still harbour ambitions to sing in a smaller choir. I just need to find one that will have me.

I must ladyleap. Put my sports bra on for the school run, to facilitate ease of sportswear donning upon my return, but stopped for a coffee and now seem to be slumped in front of the computer.

A bit depressed about career prospects. Teaching in FE seems to be a pipe dream; teaching in schools is debatable - agency says 'no problem, come right in' while others say I'm not qualified; doing corporate training would be good but no idea how to get into it.

motherinferior · 08/09/2015 10:50

Tate Modern would also be vg area to meet.

Herbs, another friend does corporate training; she has had to build it up, but I think it is now picking up.

motherinferior · 08/09/2015 10:57

I am also liking the look of Camino's Bottomless Brunches.

herbaceous · 08/09/2015 11:49

Phwoar. If I had one of those brunches, I would be very far from bottomless.

Just done a ladyleap. One of Davina's high-intensity numbers, this time concentrating on legs. I don't appear to have any muscles in the front of my body. And those that are there will be sorely tested on the school run.

motherinferior · 08/09/2015 12:13

Can’t help feeling the offer of ‘unlimited cava’ could be tested by a bunch of Crepeys determined to get their money’s worth.

herbaceous · 08/09/2015 12:27

It's almost as if a gauntlet has been thrown down.

bigTillyMint · 08/09/2015 12:48

What are you lot like?Grin

motherinferior · 08/09/2015 12:57

And we can’t have gauntlets making the place look untidy.

herbaceous · 08/09/2015 12:59

Elf n safety, innit.

Stropperella · 08/09/2015 13:20

Did someone say "unlimited cava"?

CointreauVersial · 08/09/2015 13:28

Reminds me - a few years ago, three friends and I went for apre-Christmas "Champagne Lunch" at the vair posh and extremely old-school Cadogan Hotel in Chelsea. About three hours in, the "unlimited" bottles of champagne stopped coming, and the waiter quietly suggested we might like to bring our meal to a close. Blush There was tutting from nearby tables.
