Alexa Chung for AG has a great spot blouse but its silk and I'm not keen on droopy silk. Two seven five seems a bit ott for a celeb collab too.

KittyHello · 30/08/2015 15:03

Shop I would return it, what have you got to lose? As I get older I've become bolder about not accepting rubbish service/products etc. Whether or not it was in the sales having pulls after 2 wears is not fit for purpose!

I love the colour of that dress Mara and that IM coatigan is gorgeous. I love everything about it.

Marsha sounds like you're having a great day.

KittyHello · 30/08/2015 15:09

Ujj you've hit the nail on the head in your last paragraph. I'm about to cull shoes that I've hardly worn, i.e. mistakes I've taken stuff to dress agencies before and have had minor success there, I've given up on Ebay as it doesn't seem worth the hassle, but this time it's all going to a charity shop, well the barely worn shoes are, the rest can go out.

Amber what a great bag Envy

shopafrolic · 30/08/2015 16:29

Have emailed Matches about the MiH sweater - fingers crossed for a positive response. I've also emailed Adidas as the shell toes on my white and black Superstars are coming away from the leather. Seems a bit much after 5 months or so.....

libertydoddle · 30/08/2015 17:03

Very well put Ujjayi I have an Ikea bag full of stuff that I felt was too good to charity shop but in reality I am probably never going to get around to ebaying it...maybe I just need a big session of saying 'goodbye and thank you for the purpose you played in my life' and get rid Grin. It is that horrible sense of waste, clear evidence of how I use shopping to soothe or reward myself and it makes me feel very foolish.

Good on you Shop. Too many companies take the piss tbh - keep putting prices up while not maintaining quality. I read something recently about the fact that post the 07/08 crash the prices for luxury goods have just gone ever upwards - all of us being conned into believing that if it costs more it must be better and that is not always the case looking at you Mulberry, Whistles and too many others to mention

QueenofCardigans · 30/08/2015 17:12

Oh amber it's divine. Great shopping too.
Just returned from our day out and not had time to open every link as now we're cooking a roast. I know its a/w when we start having Sunday roasts.

Stokey · 30/08/2015 17:28

Amazing bag Amber & I can really picture you in the mesh dress.

For those decluttering, I recommend Stuffocation as a slightly more philosophical take on consumerism. It looks at how we got here, how we're looking for a post material solution & ends up deciding that experiences will replace stuff.

Think either the Hobbs or DvF would be fine Blingy, I don't think you need a fascinator either.

Hi Ujj, green silk sounds lovely, great wearing something you created.

My Hipanema fell down the loo the other day Lib Blush. Clasps definitely need improving.

MIH Marrakech have arrived and I'd need to be a foot taller to wear them, definitely not a keeper!

Drywhitethanks · 30/08/2015 17:58

Mara maybe it was Marsha, maybe she's stalking you Grin.......,ADORE the SM forest green dress, stunning.
Kitty I find B Republic Sloane fit ankle straight or whatever they're called, just fit me and MD are very cigarette looking on me. Could only get my size online although there were a few bigger pairs in Regent St.
Amber great haul. I think you will look amazing in the burgundy colour of the leather jacket.
Shop how annoying. Give it a go. Nothing to loose.

Drywhitethanks · 30/08/2015 18:01

kitty these could do with 1" off length. They say dry clean. SA assured me I could wash them but when I washed my black they shrank in the length. So don't think I will shorten then.

Drywhitethanks · 30/08/2015 18:02

And Blingy I'd go for the last one you pinned, orange ....RM?

libertydoddle · 30/08/2015 18:18

I'll definitely read that Stokey. I agree that experiences are a better way to spend your money - I took a year off work when I was 28 and traveled, blew all my savings and acquired quite a bit of debt - have never regretted a penny. It was the best year of my life, I made some of my closest friends, over came lots of fears and came back and made some really major changes in my life. For the last few years I have tried to give experiences as gifts i.e. buying people concert, comedy, sport or theatre tickets for birthdays and Christmas. Or things like a massage or a course - for example I bought my Dad a weekend course in organic gardening last Christmas.

GeorginaWorsley · 30/08/2015 18:49

After much soul searching WinkI've ordered the navy gillie. .fully expect to return though.
On another more important note have just become grandmother for second time this afternoon Grin

KittyHello · 30/08/2015 19:39

Congratulations Georgina Wine Cake Flowers

Dry I may give them a try, they're okay to put in the machine are they?

Stokey shame about the MIH jeans, would you consider getting them shortened or will they lose their flariness? Obviously that's not a word but ykwim Grin

shopafrolic · 30/08/2015 20:17

Congratulations on the navy choice Georgina (and of course the grandchild!). Boy or girl? Wine

Karcheer · 30/08/2015 20:19

Congratulations Georgina

Longislandicetee · 30/08/2015 20:23

Amber I love all your purchases. How fab for you! Smile. I have also been meaning to say, I loved the bikini shot you put on Facebook. That bikini looked fab on you, and recognised it from something you had linked on here.

Marsha I am so glad you kept your trainers. Well done your dh. I am so so glad your dsis is here. Flowers.

Stokey, pity about the jeans. Sad.

Finally huge congratulations to Georgina! How exciting!

I think I will go with the Hobbs dress. Thank you. I will be back later to ask about hat. I saw a black one on john Lewis web site but any ideas from anyone? I can't believe that I will have been to 3 weddings this year and recycled for all of them. Shock.
