And I find "fuckwit" a very satisfying expletive chez moi!

MarshaBrady · 23/08/2015 18:44

I like Tanqueray, I'm sure there's a posher one out there I haven't tried.

Definitely ice, lemon at a push.

Shop Thanks to you and a little oi for your Dh ; hope he improves pronto

libertydoddle · 23/08/2015 18:52

You are all making me crave a G&T! On the Wine here.

LinusLovesBretons · 23/08/2015 18:52

My favourite Gin is Monkey 47! Both the normal one and the sloe one.

We have quite a collection at home as I love G&T's: Hendricks, Tanqueray (2 kinds), Bombay Sapphire (two kinds), The London Gin No1 (blue gin) and some others I've forgotten the name of.

We sometimes uses Fever Tree but mostly good old Shweppes as it's easier to find where I live and doesn't cost an arm and a leg

Might make myself a G&T now. Grin

(((Hugs))) shop

Have you seen that the first Aquazzurra heels also come in a gorgeous forest green dry?

FedupNagging · 23/08/2015 19:17

Currently drinking Bombay Sapphire but am also partial to Sipsmiths. G&T with cucumber and a sprig of rosemary is heaven in a glass. Am not fussed on the tonic either way. will also drink value gin if nothing else around!

Does anyone freeze slices of lime in case a G&T is needed and no fresh limes in the house?

whispers did anyone like my Jigsaw loafers? am now wondering if they are a little dated?

Sound like you had a fab day yesterday Blingy Perfect new name too.

Shop you are not having a good couple of days are you? Hope this week will be better.

FedupNagging · 23/08/2015 19:23

Blair have a fab week.

Shame about the Beamish bag Gas but the one you did get is lovely.

Lovely links Queen. Really like the pink blouse.

One and Stokey also need some tlc so to you too - yes I know, not very mumsnetty but I don't care!! rebel

FedupNagging · 23/08/2015 19:26

cheers

libertydoddle · 23/08/2015 19:28

Opps sorry fedup I meant to say I like your loafers! But I am a loafers fan. I think they look better with trousers or jeans than with skirts although that said I wear mine all the time to work with skirts as they are so comfy.

Question for those who have met me...I am totally bored with my hair. If you were given free reign to restyle me what would you do with it????

FedupNagging · 23/08/2015 19:31

Love this

And this strangely

For One

Drywhitethanks · 23/08/2015 19:40

linus I did see the forest green gorgeous and the red too.
I made damson gin a few years ago ....delicious with tonic or neat infact we had a memorable evening with friends when we all brought home made stuff. I remember a delicious orange vodka.

Fedup I love loafers. Sorry didn't comment

FedupNagging · 23/08/2015 20:07

Lib if I remember you had almost shoulder length curly hair and no fringe?

I have pinned a few medium length curly hair styles so have a look there and I am going to have another look for you.

My restyle a couple of months ago was not successful. The trouble with curly/wavy hair is that it has a mind of its own and a tendancy to frizz so whatever magic the hairdresser works does not last!

GHD's are a godsend but even they can't make my hair poker straight!

FedupNagging · 23/08/2015 20:16

Here you go Lib
Shorter with a fringe?

this is pretty

this? love the colour too

this is gorgeous

like this

and this

GeorginaWorsley · 23/08/2015 20:53

Quick drop in following password reset.
Loving links.
Am looking forward to Autumn nip, had long walk in countryside this afternoon and autumn definitely in the air!
Don't think I'm ready for boot cut or glares or whatever although I do have a pair of the Marks skinny flares from.last year that I never wore..
am wanting some suede knee boots, probably in black, but all ones I try seem to have gap between my knee and the bit, if that makes sense.
I used to have trouble finding boots to fit my calves, now they look like I'm stood in a hole or something. Grin

GeorginaWorsley · 23/08/2015 20:53

GlaresBlush
Flares.....obv

libertydoddle · 23/08/2015 21:01

Thanks fedup. I love the first one but had a fringe before and while I think it suited me I have a very strong cow's lick which makes it hard work. The fifth one is probably the most achievable one in my hair. Also love the last one. I can't go too short at the back as I have a horrible hair line. The main issue is that it too long so doesn't hold the curl so I am back to blow drying, straightners etc and that combined with colouring has just made the top layers really frizzy and dry so it looks mess all the time. I think I got away with messy when I was younger but it looks a bit bag lady-ish in my 40's.

libertydoddle · 23/08/2015 21:03

Has all the exercise made your calves slimmer Georgina? Finding perfectly fitting knee highs boots is really hard!

libertydoddle · 23/08/2015 21:05

Are hard to find

GeorginaWorsley · 23/08/2015 21:22

lib yes definitely.
All my pre weight loss boots much too big.
Have found a pair I'm MarksWink that are not bad fit .
Want them to wear with dresses for slightly more dressed up occasions ie lunch out etc.
may give up and stick with my Clarks Kenya ankle boots so no knee gape Grin

FedupNagging · 23/08/2015 21:25

Sounds like you definitely need layers Lib to bring the curl back under control.

It doesn't always work but I sometimes comb through wet hair with a brush (one with wide spaced teeth or whatever they're called)) work in some argan oil and leave to dry naturally with the occasional scrunch and fingers xd, I have soft waves as opposed to frizz.

Shop linked some seasalt spray recently I may try - I had one in a pink bottle a while back which was pretty good but can't remember what it was.

I think Topaz has a superduper hairdryer thats good for curls - does it work Topaz?

shopafrolic · 23/08/2015 21:31

for Lib

libertydoddle · 24/08/2015 06:42

Thanks shop. I love that look. Might be slightly too short. I was dreaming about my hair last night. Found a rather good looking hairdresser Grin

shopafrolic · 24/08/2015 09:42

Nice one Lib Grin
In all seriousness though shout if you want my hairdresser's deets - 2 mins from Earl's Court tube x

libertydoddle · 24/08/2015 09:46

Shop yes, do send them to me again - I had his number on a pm which are all now deleted! I'm wondering if the issue is the colour rather than the style, I might need to get some highlights rather than having all over permanent colours all the time, would be good to talk it through with someone who would be prepared to offer an opinion and it sounds like he is! BTW did you get my text about tomorrow?

libertydoddle · 24/08/2015 11:04

Navy going out top for QueenC

MarshaBrady · 24/08/2015 11:10
