Not quite sure how that went so quickly. Continuing the search for stylish bargains. Lurkers welcome - bring links and a smile :)

I really need to go through my work wardrobe and see what actually still fits! I tried on all my work trousers the other day and they're all too big so have gone in the charity bag. I'm hoping some of my dresses and skirts will be ok, though I fear a lot won't. I know I will have to get my Westwood and McQueen skirts taken in.

So if anyone sees any nice workwear for me do shout! Due back in about a month.

Other than that no interesting news really. I went for a browse in topshop and came out empty handed which is rare. I did like a few things but wasn't in the mood. Took delivery of a bikini yesterday but haven't tried as am having the period from hell and I daren't look at myself nearly naked!

AmberNectarine · 05/08/2015 20:50

My Rocco hasn't worn at all well blair but I also have a Rockie which interestingly looks good as new!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/08/2015 20:58

That's good to know thanks Amber - do you think the Rockie is a good size for everyday?

Wow your year off has gone fast! Have a look at the me+em sale, there are still some really good bargains. I think you'd probably be an XS. I don't really wear trousers to work (too lazy to find any that fit right) so can't suggest anything there.

Drywhiteplease · 05/08/2015 21:22

Wow Amber that went quickly!

So, Boden Bretons Hmm quite thin cotton no better quality wise than H and M and an odd fit, neither fitted nor boxy, just a bit meh tbh. Keeping the black and white as it will be useful ugg but really don't love them enough to keep the blue.

So khaki Skinnies in, white cardi out, one breton out.

One perhaps your nurse is the sister of the idiot dietician my DD saw today who told her that eating cake and chocolate would be a great way to put on weight Hmm I'm considering a career change Confused.

libertychick · 05/08/2015 21:47

Seriously dry Confused what a complete idiot that dietician sounds. That's appalling.

shopafrolic · 05/08/2015 21:48

Oh God Dry really? Just awful. Hope your DD is ok.
Amber that has gone quick - are you looking forward to going back?
Anyone else check out Lenny Kravitz's penis today or just me? I was disappointed Confused
Never had a colonic either, although on weekend benders I often didn't eat for a few days so guess I'd have emptied myself out and topped up with naughty substances instead - drugs are bad kids ok?
Have had body wraps before which temporarily lose inches.......

OneLittleLady · 05/08/2015 22:13

oh my god Dry what an idiot that dietitian is. that's no advice to give to your DD. honestly, that's appalling, totally appalling. I'm shocked she even thought to say that!

I'm not so upset now but still feeling pretty low. I've been googling and googling to try and find some sort of exercises I can do but short of going to a physio for proper advice, I don't know what I can do. Everywhere suggests yoga but I can't stand up unaided to do it!

shopafrolic · 05/08/2015 22:13

Do any of you drink Aloe Vera juice? I met a friend today who has had bowel problems and swears by it.... Apparently it is good for your gut and your skin?

shopafrolic · 05/08/2015 22:14

One my Pilates instructor does seated routines for some in our class..... Might be worth enquiring? Surely your care team could provide more advice? Or perhaps your Gp?

On a lighter note, I did a Judy Finnigan in Sainsburys this afternoon. The worst bit was I was wearing a very boring nude t shirt bra Grin

OneLittleLady · 05/08/2015 22:47

i'm going to look into what options i've got shop hopefully there will be something i can do, more than i am doing anyway.

dry Shock

LinusDKD · 06/08/2015 07:47

morning!

dry can you report that dietician to someone? I think what she said to your DD is completely unacceptable.

Lol at your Judy Finnigan moment. If that had happened to novice or talya the other shoppers would have caught a glimpse of a La Perla bra. Wink

QueenCardigan · 06/08/2015 07:58

Morning. Writing yet again from my warm sunny terrace with a cup of tea. Heaven.
dry what an idiot that dietician is. You don't sound like you love the Breton so are you sure you want to keep it? It may be useful but will you really wear it?
amber maybe you shoukd eat more chocolate and cake Wink so all your clothes fit.
I can't think of anything worse than colonic irrigation. Enemas are hideous enough although completely satisfying when they work

libertychick · 06/08/2015 08:28

one you need to take care with yoga. It's easy to over extend or lose balance. You should only try with a teacher who is used to working with people with pain/disabilities. Something like aqua aerobics or swimming would be good but obviously you would need help getting in and out. Could your sister help you? Seated Pilate's sounds like a great idea.

Grin at the Judy Finnegan moment.

WFH today. Navy track pants, mustard Zara light sweater and brown/beige/kakhi viscose scarf.

Thinking of all of you in the sun on a very overcast day in London.

Has Marsha gone on hols now?

libertychick · 06/08/2015 08:32

shop DH tried aloe vera juice at one point. Didn't agree with him at all. But it is one of those things that seems to work for a lot of people.

HappyGirlNow · 06/08/2015 09:56

Hi all! Loving the links and holiday chat... Am off to Greece a week on Friday and 7lbs heavier than I wanted to be so will need to rethink what I'm taking.. Annoying!

Impressive Zara haul happygirl

Was it karbea who was struggling to find workout gear in autumn colours? Adidas by S. McCartney have some nice colours for winter

Just scroll down to the end.

LinusDKD · 06/08/2015 10:51

shop pm!

OneLittleLady · 06/08/2015 11:08

thanks lib I'm going to look into all possibilities before I decide on something. Unfortunately no, my sister won't help me swim, she doesn't do swimming, EVER. I'm not sure why but I don't push it as it's something she will not do under any circumstances. I may be able to get some funding for an assistant of sorts who can help with things like that, i have an occupational health assessment coming up so I can ask about funding and such like then.

Wearing a 50's style dress today in a sort of light, silvery grey. it's very plain but very pretty at the same time. I have the same dress in i think it's six colours and patterns as the shape works really well for me. I've got a little red patent belt on with it and will add black flats and a red cardigan when I go out in a little while

BrandyAlexander · 06/08/2015 11:10

Hello! The kids are at kids club again for a couple of hours so am relaxing by the pool.

Dry'sJudy moment made me laugh!Grin

Ootd is a triangle bikini I had custom made when I got married. It's pink and on the bottom it has "Mrs surname" on the back in Swarovski crystals. Dh didn't think I was going to change my name so had it made for our honeymoon as a tongue in cheek thing. He really likes it though yesterday I wore his favourite- white bikini a la Ursula Andress in Bond. ????

QueenC, probably missed this but do you not hand wash at all on hols?

MyVegasBaby · 06/08/2015 11:58

60% off a lot of Ganni on ASOS, got a few bits:
Ganni black trousers
Ganni striped sweater
Ganni shift dress I think Marsha has this??
This sun lounger shopping is lethal, but wi be nice to come home to some bits!

MyVegasBaby · 06/08/2015 11:59

Love the Zara shirt and heels Happy

QueenCardigan · 06/08/2015 12:30

novice Ive done a bit of hand washing mainly of underwear and ive had to do a couple of tops for the dc so that they don't go home on the plane in dirty clothes Grin.

BrandyAlexander · 06/08/2015 14:30

QueenC I was wondering. dh thinks I am a nutter because I hand wash a lot and tidy up a lot!

Drywhiteplease · 06/08/2015 16:18

Happygirl love all of your Zara haul, I'd wear it all. ESP the red heels and the black coat.
