Actually bernice I'm with you on the autumn/spring dressing. When I can wear cropped trousers and just a cardi.

I realised last night that I spend far too much time looking at blogs when I saw a woman in the other stories pom Pom dress. I recognised it straightaway despite having never seen it irl before. V nice too it was.

libertychick · 08/07/2015 11:12

Another one who admires your dedication to the cause novice Smile

I like autumn/spring dressing too, I like having layers ie shirt under a jumper with a light coat or jacket.

BrandyAlexander · 08/07/2015 11:19

QueenC.... My hb levels have picked up so feeling energetic at the moment.Wink

Thanks Amber. Thanks If dd ends up in therapy I won't pin it to Monday night!!

Okay, so what do people with older children do? We always sleep with the door softly closed or ajar or else they get upset if they can't get in. Is it locked doors time?

BrandyAlexander · 08/07/2015 11:19

Hey Lib, are you okay babe?

LinusDKD · 08/07/2015 12:11

Wow novice I'm having whatever meds you're having. Wink

Seriously my energy levels haven't gone up much so I might have to go back to the dr. doubts anything will have an effect on my libido

I wouldn't worry to much about small children walking in on you, I was scarred for life walking in on my DP's when I was in my early twenties. Shock

On the one hand I was grossed out completely (thankfully didn't see much as it was dark) but on the other hand I was glad they still fancied each other enough after all these years to ahem, "make love".

I prefer dressing for winter, I prefer covering up my wobbly arms and thighs.

QueenCardigan · 08/07/2015 12:31

As they get older novice they don't tend to walk in on you in the middle of the night. They're also good for getting up and getting their own breakfast at the weekend if we fancy a morning shag. But I can never quite relax in case they come back upstairs.
linus you do not have wobbly arms and thighs.

libertychick · 08/07/2015 13:23

I'm so, so Novice. Tough week. On the positive side the Tube strike means I've been able to duck out of some meetings am I the only grateful Londoner?

AmberNectarine · 08/07/2015 13:30

Well we obviously haven't mastered it as the kids come bowling in regularly. Mornings are the riskiest time - though as QueenC says they will go downstairs of a weekend morning now. Evenings definitely safest, as soon as they're asleep. Kids seem unscathed by what they've seen but the words 'mummy, why you holding daddy's willy?' will be emblazoned across my mind for years to come.

libertychick · 08/07/2015 13:35

TV is your saviour people - we put DD in front of the TV and no danger of being interrupted so far

OneLittleLady · 08/07/2015 14:02

hahah, sorry Amber but that's got me giggling like a loon

ds has never walked in on me, with dp or anyone before him, he's always knocked on my bedroom door, it's the way i was brought up and the way he was too.it wasn't easy at first but i just told him he needed to respect mums private space like i respected his and always knocked on his door (unless i thought something dangerous was going on of course) might seem odd for a young child but it worked for us

QueenCardigan · 08/07/2015 14:19

For those of you that do it after the kids have gone to bed, how do you find the energy?? Maybe because dd now goes to bed at 9.30 and I go not long after.

At least you were holding his willy amber and not eating it Grin

AmberNectarine · 08/07/2015 14:27

I'm scandalised QueenC! By the way, were you looking at this top? Great reduction!

QueenCardigan · 08/07/2015 14:29

Yes, I nearly pm'd you last night as I knew you'd like it too. I was v tempted but I really don't need anymore summer clothes so I decided to give it a miss. Great reduction though.

AmberNectarine · 08/07/2015 14:39

Have ordered - hopefully it will look nice!

QueenCardigan · 08/07/2015 16:12

Did you size down? You'd probably need a 6 which luckily has sold out to stop me ordering it

AmberNectarine · 08/07/2015 16:45

Really? I got the 8. Have ordered to store to try so easy returns if too big!

Drywhiteplease · 08/07/2015 17:04

Good God, I go to work and we are talking A/W clothes and I come back and it's " holding DH's willy" Grin love this thread Grin

I think my teenagers would be horrified to imagine we have sex, they always knock. Having said that I do wonder what the heck DS is up to for so long in the bathroom Hmm ...........
Can rember who asked, but I prefer A/W dressing. Knitwear, scarves, cosy costs, boots and the security of opaque tights.
My work uniform for winter is dress/skirt with opaque so. For summer 80% of the time I'm in 7/8 trousers, she'll top, little cardigan, flats.

QueenCardigan · 08/07/2015 17:34

amber I got the 8 but it was big. A 6 probably would have been better.

OneLittleLady · 08/07/2015 17:54

for me, i prefer winter dressing. i like opaques and cashmere, fluffy cardigans and layers. i dislike hot weather, i burn too easily and over heat too quickly. give me winter dressing any time

BrandyAlexander · 08/07/2015 18:04

Sorry DryGrin. My face feels v warm every time I think of Monday night and not in a can we do that thing again way.

Linus, I have been taking 2 spatone sachets (Apple flavour) every morning for the last 7 weeks as recommended by my doctor. I was dead on my feet in mid May with low hb and ferritin on the floor. The impact was noticeable within a week. My ferritin is still non existent but my hb levels have scraped into the normal.

QueenC, I have the advantage of not needing much sleep. 6 hours is plenty for me. Dh wuss needs more. We never have daytime sexEnvy so it's always after the kids are asleep.

LibThanksThanksThanks text me if you want a chat xxx

I prefer summer dressing for work but think I do a/w smart casual dressing better than s/s these days.

OneLittleLady · 08/07/2015 18:32

i've just read a really interesting article about one of the conditions i have and some new treatments being worked on. i'm hoping they come to fruition and there might be some hope for me in the future

novice you're a sexy mama Wink Wink

libertychick · 08/07/2015 20:42

novice I sent you 4 texts earlier (ranting) then texted you again later on to apologise for bombarding you!!! I am guessing you didn't get them. I'm off to bed now. I'll pm instead tomorrow. Smile

Fedupnagging · 08/07/2015 21:50

Novice really pleased you've got mojo back not as pleased as your dh evidently!

Dtd with teens in the house - get creative is all I can say! Oh and you'd better be prepared to wake up early once your kids go to bed after you Wink

Lib sounds like you need Flowers; hope you're ok. IKEA was virtually empty which is how I like it.

Forgot to link this top I picked up last week. Also grabbed a linen dress for hols next week but can't find a pic to link.

I can always find more winter clothes I love than summer - love a jumper, but it is great not to have to dress in lots of layers during the summer when we actually get decent enough weather

Fedupnagging · 09/07/2015 07:12

Was it something I said last night ladies? Wink

libertychick · 09/07/2015 07:32

Grin at Fedup

Flowers for Novice who cheered me up hugely with some text messages last night.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.
