These are the GD trousers. Am slightly worried that they are too pale - fit is nice but I'm a bit conscious of big thighs - what's making it worse is I got them in the GD shop so no returns on sale items. I'm used to having days to mull it over knowing I can return...FFS it's like the first rule of MNV - if in doubt, buy on line!!! But they have flattering mirrors and sycophantic SA's...my mirror at home is a little more honest - on balance I think they are ok probably Might need to wear with a heel....gahhhhhh

Shop have you got Red magazine for August? - P105 has a fab chunky grey Sportmax sweater that would really suit you I think.

Ok so do we think this dress is an Autumn green? I couldn't decide today, quite liked it on.

I bought this dress today in the red, despite really not needing any more dresses. DH likes it though!

Also got a couple of Freya bras in the selfridges sale for a tenner each so I'm happy with that!

Blimey Amber I'll bet he does. Bargain on the bras. Wish I was closer to London so that I could nip in when DS is at school. Need some new Freya.

I don't get Red mag. Can you take a pic? Not sure on dress, looks a bit too bluey to me but I was never good at this stuff.
DH has gone to bed already - I may follow soon. All this playing in paddling pools has worn me out.

lib I don't think it is an Autumn green, I think the giveaway is the white bits, so it looks cool to me, if the white was creamier then I'd think it was ok.

Will send a photo shop. Thanks for the feedback on the dress (and you Karbea) I think it is a bit cool toned - main issue was it didn't seem to tone in with other autumn colours - which I guess answers my own question .

The trousers are not tight on the legs Shop they skim nicely but I generally go for darker colours. I may get them slightly taken in on lower leg so they are a bit more like cigarette pants.

Still here Queen just another frantic week, big project nearing completion. Just another couple of weeks and hopefully things will ease off.
Glad you got the dress, I wore mine again on Saturday night, love it, dressy but not too dressy IYKWIM. I wear a black bra with mine.
Glad everyone is enjoying the gorgeous weather, working from home tomorrow so can wear some shorts!

I'm out on a 5 mile run. Have had to stop halfway for fluids and a breather. It's TWENTY NINE already here in sunny Wimbledon. I feel sorry for those tennis players (and myself)

Marsha I'm in that horrible don't wear anything you like as saving it for holiday on Sat mode so I'm just in GAP BF shorts and a white vest top. Saw someone on the school run in a fab light denim sleeveless shirt dress - looked fab.

OOTD: pink cotton knee length skirt, black cotton ribbed vest with ruffle trim at neckline, black billowy coverup to protect my already burned shoulders and my new white, flamingo print rocket dog pumps.

I really have burned quite badly even through the factor 50 I have been wearing every single day and reapplying liberally and frequently. Perhaps I need to try another brand as this one is obviously not working for me. it stings A LOT when i get in the shower

Bought some hot weather easy to throw on clothes today in H&M:

this dress in teal

Very flattering and doesn't cling to my lumpy bits. Not 100% cotton but the fabric feels lovely.

this playsuit in cobalt I didn't buy as it made me look huge. Shame as the colour was perfect for me.

Can't find the last dress I bought but it's a plain navy one with short sleeves.

amber you are hardcore! I did do some excercise this morning but in a well ventilated studio.

amber I don't envy you running in this heat. it was 29 when i left wimbledon at 11am on monday morning. never have i seen so many people dressed in white before in my life!

Dreading going out but its essential today, otherwise, to be honest, i'd stay sat inside in just my pants and crop top!

lib just a thought, i have some size 14 , a light to mid sort of grey, linen laura ashley trousers, don't know if they'd be your thing but if you want to try them let me know and i'll pop them in the post for you

going out hunting for better suncream in a little while and then my sisters as she is making dinner for me. must pick up flavoured water as well, i am goign through so much fluid right now. am also goign to investigate driclor. really think i need to see the doctor though as i perspire crazy amounts, to the point i have to change every scrap of clothing ive got on two or three times a day in the heat. I know it's my medication that causes it but its very uncomfortable and makes me feel gross!

Wowsers amber no wonder Dh loves it! I'm in awe of anyone who has the confidence to wear a dress like that. I would be so self conscious.

Ootd is denim shorts again and ice blue vest. I've been helping at sports day at school so have been in the sun all morning so may change my top to cover up my shoulders later.

Hi everyone :) currently chilling in airconditioned office and not looking forward to stepping outside at lunchtime. Wearing really old Dorothy Perkins ruched dress, which probably gives me VPL but I don't care as it's the lightest thing I own for this heat. We're going over the road for a burger at lunch but may need an ice cream afterwards.

One that's odd about the suncream, it wasn't an old one was it?

Linus lovely summer buys, I did an H&M order last night too:
One shoulder cotton dress
Cream top
and 2 more pairs of the leather ballet flats (both colours) as they are what I've been looking for for years and are such good value.

Also got this dress from Oasis which I'm looking forward to wearing with tan platform sandals and a big floppy hat.

I think the only thing I still need for summer is a pair of tan sandals. Not sure whether to get Gigis from shopbop, a nice lace up gladiator pair or just get a cheapy pair for now.

no blair it was a brand new bottle only bought last week when it started getting hot.it was the same in florida though,brand new bottle and still burned through it.maybe my skin is even more sensitive than i thought it was
