You gave conjured up an image shop of me standing sweating in the jubilee line with a tub of talc in one hand and deodorant in the other shaking and spraying simultaneously. I have ironed all the cotton dresses so reasonably well prepared.

Marsha you are mad! I have been going through my diary figuring out what meetings I can skip/cancel so I can stay at home and work in my knickers.

dry I know. I am sorry. Glad you had a good night away.

MarshaBrady · 28/06/2015 23:26

I wouldn't say no to staying home. For sure. I mean city in a broader zone 2 sense so including my home Grin

libertychick · 28/06/2015 23:52

See you had made me think you enjoy rush hour Victoria station in 30! But I agree, love the good weather for just hanging out. I'm looking forward to meals on the deck for a couple of weeks. Nothing quite as 'holiday' feeling as breakfast outdoors IMO.

libertychick · 29/06/2015 09:14

Morning all! Glorious day Smile

I am wearing the orange/red Levi's dress I acquired from shop. Silk/cotton mix. Wearing with new Jaegar tote and Bernice's Ray Jones tan and taupe brogues. Can't wear sandals as have an issue with my left foot ATM Confused. DH said they look 'a bit practical' Grin

Off to meet the lovely Cranagh for a coffee....if you are reading the trains running today so I will be there.

Drywhiteplease · 29/06/2015 09:27

Im wearing a new Zara white linen shell top can't find to link with camel 3/4, animal print AOS loafers.....feeling cool and a bit "Out of Africa" Grin.............

QueenCardigan · 29/06/2015 09:37

I used to hate commuting in London in this heat. The worst was an hour and a half commute whilst heavily pregnant. The 'morning sickness' came back with a vengeance in late pregnancy too snd I often used to have to vomit in the toilets at Waterloo Grin.

OneLittleLady · 29/06/2015 09:37

feel like i'm deceiving the world at large by wearing a sports bra! as if i go to the gym!

sad to be going home today but i'll be back soon enough i suppose. never feels like i'm here for long enough, sort of hard to explain

BerniceBobsHerHair · 29/06/2015 11:27

Hi everyone,
It's not that warm here but looks like it might be brightening up. I don't think I have enough clothes for the hot weather. Don't think I do summer dressing well. I like the structure and layers of autumn / winter dressing Smile

On the otherhand, I like summer in the city too Marsha - everyone seems more relaxed and I like the way people are out in the evening, in beer gardens and spilling out of pubs onto the pavement. A bit more of a holiday vibe.

Your outfit sounds lovely Lib. Tell DH the shoes are practical and stylish - the holy grail Grin Enjoy your mini MU with Cranagh.

Dry where did you go?

Karbea impressive clear out.

I know you have found a beach bag Linus but the Frugality linked these and I thought they looked nice.

shopafrolic · 29/06/2015 11:39

There are some nice Soludos canvas beach totes on The Outnet too.......
The mango denim maxi skirt arrived and it's too big so I've ordered a size down - just hoping it comes before Friday.... It is SOOOOO long. Almost too long for me at 5ft 10!

Cooler her too, and like you Bernice I find it much easier to dress for autumn/winter, although this year I haven't strayed too far off the mark and am wearing beige Boden bistro crop with vintage green Boden boat neck, and tan Swedish Hasbeenailkes from ASOS. Feel quite happy with this outfit. Am very thankful for the chino shorts this summer and will be wearing them a lot, as long as the weather is good!

Hope everyone is having a happy Monday. Hopefully a calmer week for me this week.

MarshaBrady · 29/06/2015 15:04

Sitting outside for a late lunch. Glorious. Wore pitch pants for real today, ie their intended purpose. I could sit here all day if I could get someone to share some prosecco with me, who's the fastest runner Grin

shopafrolic · 29/06/2015 15:57

OOOOOO me me me (put probably too far away :) )

Darn closer would be fab. Had sparkling water instead. Will wait for mu!

shopafrolic · 29/06/2015 16:22

Wearing this dress today - basic but useful.
Wanted to pack all my holiday bits but looks as though with this heatwave I'll need to wear it all this week :)

I'm wearing a black crew neck tee, flippy patterned black and white mini from Hollister and silver Marni sandals. Was wearing a tea dress earlier but felt too girly.

shopafrolic · 29/06/2015 19:51

I always feel like that Amber. Reckon I was a bloke in a previous life Grin
Wimbledon is on! Yay. Wish I was there. Looks glorious. Are you going this year Novice?

MarshaBrady · 29/06/2015 20:08

Me me. I'm going for the first time, with work. Quite good sometimes this work malarky not that I do much of the actual stuff

shopafrolic · 29/06/2015 20:58

Wow! Nice one Marsha. It's on my list of things I need to do at least once in my life. Not sure how now that I don't work....corporate entertaining would have been my best chance.

MarshaBrady · 29/06/2015 21:23

Not to the finals or anything, this week. Still half a day out of work for sunshine (hopefully) and fizz (maybe) should be nice. Plus have wanted to go for ages.

Really like your dress you linked today Shop

libertychick · 29/06/2015 21:39

Lucky you Marsha.
I had a busy but good day. Coffee and pastries with Cranagh this morming then two meetings and inspired by the sun ended up in the pub! Just about made it home for bed time stories Blush. Need an early night now.

Karbea · 29/06/2015 22:48

Haha! Can't believe you were moaning about the heat in the city! I work in a bikram studio, you can imagine how pleasant it was in there today!!!!

Karbea · 29/06/2015 22:58

Wimbledon makes me a bit sad/nostalgic for the good 'ol days, when I first started work my office was in Wimbledon and after work we used to get the train to south fields and you could just walk in and watch games that late in the day ie 5:30/6, often you'd see some great players/games on the outside smaller courts. This all changed when they put the roof on, I guess that had to get their money back some how.

Drywhiteplease · 29/06/2015 23:00

When I got home from work today I put my Gap boyfriend denim shorts and flip flops on, felt as if I was on holiday. Smile
Who mentioned red Havianas........need a pair. Won't take me long Grin

Drywhiteplease · 29/06/2015 23:06

Love "one click" Wink

MarshaBrady · 30/06/2015 08:18
