I'm off to a party so set up the new thread a bit early - but please come on over!
I will be back later!

Thanks Frugal. Enjoy the party Smile

ilovetosleep · 04/06/2015 17:49

Ooh exciting

CoconutAmericano · 04/06/2015 18:20

I found the last thread absolutely fascinating and addictive Grin. So I tried a bb cream to test the waters. It was great (Holika Holika), and as a result, I am now patiently, ok impatiently, awaiting the arrival of lots and lots of Korean goodies! And of course, the Japanese Biore sun screen you're all raving about Grin. I am very very excited because it's like waiting for lots of little presents to myself and they didn't break the bank. Win win!

Looking forward to reading this thread as it develops and learning even more Smile

ForSaleChesterDraws · 04/06/2015 18:26

Great intro post. Thanks, Frugal.

bigbuttons · 04/06/2015 18:31

well done frugal Smile

I have had so much arrive recently I can't remember what it isBlush

TheWombat · 04/06/2015 18:39

thank you for the new thread frugal. I do actually have enough sheet masks to make bunting now, after delivery of 15 innisfree anti-trouble masks this morning. It came with several sachets of Missha first treatment essence plus an étude house sheet mask - awesome!

Lucysmam I have never found better eye make up remover than Bioderma Sensibio - in a clear bottle with pink lid. You can get it off ebay/Amazon quite cheaply but I hear that the Garnier micellar water is a good dupe...

MrsGuyGarvey · 04/06/2015 18:43

Evening all, am off to name change as I feel a bit weirdo stalkers with this one.

NewsreaderChic · 04/06/2015 18:50

Ok I'm back with new name.

Any other non acid toner suggestions?

Swallowedbyasnake · 04/06/2015 18:56

after lurking for ages I finally got a parcel yesterday so got over excited used Mizon goodnight sleeping mask last night and wonderpore freshner and étude sunprise water essence spf this morning. Now I have 3 spots and don't which product caused it (guessing the sleeping mask) so frustrating!

lucysmam · 04/06/2015 19:01

Ok, it's not much but there is £6 each left for me and dp to spend...any suggestions? Atm I'm debating a haul of sheet masks...

TheWombat · 04/06/2015 19:35

Lucysmam I think innisfree world has a buy 5 get 5 free on sheet masks at the moment - worth a look if you're tempted

Oh no swallowedbyasnake commiserations, I would suspect the silicones in the sleeping mask too..

lucysmam · 04/06/2015 19:39

I shall have a look once I get dd2 into bed Wombat, thanks Grin

lucysmam · 04/06/2015 19:45

How much is shipping on there Wombat? (I may have lied about putting dd2 to bed first Confused ). Best go do that now

XiCi · 04/06/2015 20:18

So I know you all love the biore spf but has anyone tried the mishha essence spf50 . I got a sample today and it was lovely , a really light lotion that sunk straight in, no oiliness or white residue .

Has anyone tried the IOPE bb cushion? It seems to be the blogger and fashion magazines favourite

lucysmam · 04/06/2015 20:21

Eek! Shipping came to £6.92! Shock Never mind, I'll carry on browsing and see what else I can find. Probably will be sheet masks though.

lucysmam · 04/06/2015 20:28

XiCi, it looks nice but is well out of my budget.

CornwallsFinest · 04/06/2015 20:28

Checking in! Received the My Beauty Diary hyaluronic aced sheet masks yesterday and gave one a whirl last night. Skin has been amazingly soft all day. Waiting for the rest of my haul to come through which most likely won't be for a week or so yet as I only ordered last Saturday (would recommend bits and bobs beauty for speedy delivery!).

ReluctantCamper · 04/06/2015 20:38

Have been a massive lurker on the last thread. Wanted to thank Bigbuttons for the DIY ultra bland link, have made it and am loving it. Am about to do an AHA acid treatment now, and am impatiently awaiting many parcels from Korea.

Frugal, you roped me into using nose.fr on a thread about Jicky. You're costing me a fortune woman!

FrugalFashionista · 04/06/2015 20:50

I'm back! Just a quick afterwork cocktail party - but it was in a lovely garden. I'm so glad you all made it to the new thread!

XiCi I have a bottle of the Missha essence (peach bottle) and have tried a sample (pink bottle). Both were excellent and sunk right in. I might buy the pink Missha later on when I run out, I like that it has zinc in it (ie, a physical sunscreen in addition to a chemical one) but does not seem to leave a white cast. The pink is a bit more perfumed than the peach one so it might bother very sensitive people, but it dissipates quickly unlike Hawaiian Tropic.

I would love to try the IOPE cushion but that has to wait - getting the shade right is tricky and I was quite lucky with the Missha one. People who are testing cushions save by just buying a refill first, if I have understood correctly you get a plastic compact that clicks shut. A proper cushion has a bigger outer case where you can store the sponge, but you only need that if you want to pop the cushion in your bag.

OMG Lucysmam that is a high shipping cost! Hope you have better luck elsewhere.

Product update: I am really liking the Scinic propolis serum. It's a strange light but juicy watery-gel texture, spreads over my skin well and sinks in nicely. Doesn't make my skin greasy or tight, hasn't caused any breakouts so far. In fact the breakout I had has healed surprisingly quickly. I'm very happy! I've used it in the morning after toning and before moisturiser. Have also layered it with another serum (Caudalie SOS) and snail gel on top, in manner of Korean beauty goddess.

TheWombat · 04/06/2015 21:03

Cornwall I've had quick delivery from bitsandbobsofbeauty too. Definitely recommended!

FrugalFashionista · 04/06/2015 21:06

Camper Wink I'm doing a no-spend June so your wallet can rest a bit...
Cornwall that's exactly what the MBD Hyaluronic does to me too.
Coconut with Korean stuff it is a bit like Christmas all the time, mysterious little packages that don't cost the earth.
Wombat I absolutely love Bioderma Sensibio, my daily staple. Hope the Innisfrees suit your skin - feeling awful about the Good Night mask, really hoping that the breakouts calm down quickly!
Newsreader liking your new name! What do you want from a toner? It's one of the most confusing terms out there as it can mean neat vodka, witch hazer, rose water or a hyaluronic-laced liquid like the Hada Labo - and probably a dozen other things. Here are some suggestions from Reddit.

OP posts:
lucysmam · 04/06/2015 21:12

oh heck, I searched "Jicky" out of curiosity! I do not need to be adding scent to my wish list too...but it's interesting reading so far!

lucysmam · 04/06/2015 21:14

Also Frugal, vodka as toner?!
