Asian and Korean skincare products seem to be a big thing right now - we are falling in love with quite a few things...

oooh bigbuttons, I had 4 days worth of a sample of that! Really liked it. It's on my list for next time I have enough spare to spend a tenner Smile

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 14:21

At least I think it was that...best double check now...

bigbuttons · 05/06/2015 14:25

lucy! Hooray. Tell why you liked it. Be my enablerWink

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 14:50

Ah, it was the skin returning a-sol that I put on my list. But I thought it was very good - a little little bit went a long way. I was brewing a monster cystic spot on my chin but that vanished quickly rather than lingering, that was mainly what made me put it on my list tbh - they always linger for ages but this one buggered off quickly. It seems good value for the money too if you really do only need a teeny bit.

It did have a smell that I couldn't place though -not entirely unpleasant and didn't linger on but strange.

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 14:50

if = as you really need a teeny bit Confused

MrsLannister · 05/06/2015 15:29

Hi everyone, I have been lurking on this thread from the start and have put things into my basket on eBay several times!!

I am definitely going to order some stuff this weekend, primarily snail gel, some sheet masks and maybe a bb cream. Could anyone advise whether it is better to order from ebay or a direct site? Obvious I want as many free samples as possible!! Grin

CornwallsFinest · 05/06/2015 16:02

Lucysmam how do you apply the CosRX skin returning a-sol? I bought that on your recommendation Smile

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 16:39

Cornwall, I just put a smidge on using my hands to pat it on.

Have you had a sniff of it?

CornwallsFinest · 05/06/2015 17:13

Not yet because I haven't received it Grin Hopefully in the next couple of weeks. What does it smell like?

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 17:15

I don't know! I can't place it Confused

MrSlant · 05/06/2015 18:02

Missha bb cream (from the samples) Shock I look amazing (and you really don't hear me say that!) it's like another world from the foundation I have been using. Wow.

I am desperate for the children to bugger off to bed now so I can prop myself up in bed with a glass of wine and sheet mask so I can have a proper look at everything. That never used to be my idea of a great Friday night.

wickedfairy · 05/06/2015 18:03

So glad this convo has continued! Have been away all week, but home tomorrow, so I really hope my Biore sunscreen has arrived - it's the only thing left I am waiting on and my LRP Anthelios stuff is crap...

Then I can get cracking on with testing out all my new stuff! GrinGrin

XiCi · 05/06/2015 18:58

I can't wait for my Cosrx to arrive, loved the samples

I feel disappointed now if get in from work and there's no little parcel from Korea waiting for me Smile

Ordered the Tony moly lip scrub today. The packaging is sooooo cute

bigbuttons · 05/06/2015 19:03

XiCi which cosrx have you ordered?

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 05/06/2015 19:13

First parcel arrived! Holika petit bouncing bb, and skin food gold caviar set, toner and emulsion, tiny bottles! Most important bit obv is the samples! Tony moly floria brightening peeling gel, skin food gold caviar double eye serum, lettuce and cucumber watery emulsion and to at whitening cream.
A question, if bb is 30+ do I need a sunscreen under it?

XiCi · 05/06/2015 19:13

The asol skin returning one, though have read some reviews of the blackhead toner which say it's better than the paulas choice bha so I'm sort of wondering whether I should have ordered that. One to be added to the list!

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 19:34

OhWhat, yep, you do. You (general you...not you, you iyswim) don't apply bb/cc cream etc in large enough quantities, or evenly enough to ensure full coverage. Paula's Choice article here Smile

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 19:35

XiCi I saw those reviews too but figured since I have tried the a-sol I would go with that and hope for samples of the other.

MrsLannister · 05/06/2015 19:37

Anyone able to answer my question? Smile

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 19:57

MrsLannister, I've only ordered from ebay rather than actual shops but not had any troubles. And plenty of samples (2/3 in most parcels).

There are a load of recommendations for other places too in the first thread though Smile

MrsLannister · 05/06/2015 19:59

Thank you lucysmam I'll give ebay a go, don't fancy trawling through that mahoosive thread Grin

LittleMysMoominMamma · 05/06/2015 21:09

Delighted to see part II Grin

My Sulwhasoo basic kit of 5 products (samples) arrived yesterday. It took me a while to find out which order to use them in, but finally figured it out this evening. Obviously way too early to tell what sort of effect they'll have on my skin but they feel lovely, might have slightly overdone the ginseng cream though...

I also got the Missha Cho Bo Yang BB cream earlier in the week, so looking forward to trying that tomorrow.

I think I've been very lucky that I've liked everything I discovered thanks to Frugals original thread, I can't wait for the next parcel to arrive!

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 21:19

I think I'd like to try an emulsion type moisturiser rather than my cream - see whether something lighter also helps with the condition of my skin (which, incidentally is miles better since discovering this thread and spending more time thinking about what to use. Thanks Frugal for that, if your title hadn't caught my eye I'd have carried on as I was).

Does anyone have a suggestion where to begin my hunt? Smile

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 21:28

Oh! Also, do any of you have a konjac sponge? Bit of info here. Looks like it might be a good addition for a morning rather than a good old (shiny new in my almost finished bathroom Grin ) flannel.

LittleMysMoominMamma · 05/06/2015 21:34

Lucysmam there's a balancing emulsion in the Sulwhasoo set I bought, apparently very good if used in conjunction with the balancing water. There are lots of reasonably priced samples on eBay...
