Asian and Korean skincare products seem to be a big thing right now - we are falling in love with quite a few things...

Hmm, I don't know if it's just that I'm looking at my face more closely, but I seem to have more broken capillaries than before. I think maybe my hot cloth cleansing is a little too hot...

I've spotted skin doctor capillary clear, but has anyone come across a Korean equivalent?

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 21:41

I'll have a look Little, thanks.

I have a tube of cream to use up first but sure I can do some sampling in the meantime Grin

I have another one as well - there was very brief mention of re-applying sunscreen over make-up on the first thread. How do we do this? Confused

I do understand that in a 'typical' day, a morning application would be enough to last until home-time...I'm thinking of the summer hols fast creeping up and days spent on the park where obviously the sunblock is going to disintegrate (or whatever it actually does, hopefully you get what I mean) before I get home for the day, so leaving me with no spf Confused .

Lucysmam I lost a bid (at work using eBay app on phone) for a konjac sponge. I am love shop was selling it and it went for £2.50. I was raging my boss was chatting to me and I couldn't bid! It was a charcoal one for problem skin.

CornwallsFinest · 05/06/2015 22:03

MrsLannister I ordered from www.missha.ee and received around 10 samples! Grin

On that note, I've just used Missha Time Revolution Immortal Youth Cream - oh my, it's gorgeous! Smells amazing and is a lovely consistency, my skin soaked it up in seconds. Its pretty £££ though but if you can afford it, I would recommend it missha.ee/en/catalog#!51/products/19

bigbuttons · 05/06/2015 22:06

I am waiting for my sponge to arrive. I am hoping it will come with the snail bee stuff.
Still wondering wher to get the costs emulsion. I don't have spots. But I liked how smooth it made my face feel.

lucysmam · 05/06/2015 22:16

Grin dafty there are ones on there for less than £1! Seems to need replacing every couple of months.

I might add one to my list to try.

Playthegameout · 05/06/2015 22:29

Gosh I'm.late to the party! Thanks for the new thread Frugal Flowers

Just wanted to feedback on the Tony Moly Panda's dream eye brightening base. The packaging is, as you would expect, adorable. The product itself has a lovely clean and subtle scent. It feels great on the skin, not sticky at all. It operates as a primer and I do think it helps my cheap concealer to cling on during the day. The downside is, other than the priming effect, it doesn't seem to do much. I haven't noticed any real differences. But I think I paid about £3 for it and it is lovely to have on my dressing table. So I'm not too disappointed. Hoping my holika bb and mizon snail gel arrive soon.

Quick question, does anyone have any of the k beauty stores on instagram? If so, has anyone bought direct from them?

CornwallsFinest · 05/06/2015 22:32

I like the look of the konjac sponge too. It did say in your link lucysmam to be aware of fakes on the market so not sure if the £1 are imitations?

Will add it to my 'want' list though!

NewsreaderChic · 05/06/2015 23:00

I tried the apple peeling gel on my face this evening, baring in mind I've been double cleansing and following aprox 7 step skincare routine for about six weeks now so my skin is lovely and soft. It's sooo satisfying seeing little lumps of dead skin collecting on your face and I was squeaky clean when I washed it off. Being clinical I wondered if the little white lumps were dead skin or just some sort of reaction from the gel, but I think not as I did Dh and he has far fewer lumps then me. I'm not sure I'd use it daily, but definitely good if you're using reti old and a bit flaky and the serum disappeared into my skin quickly.

Mrs L I've had parcels from Koreabeautynet and another eBay seller and got lots of samples included five or six in each!

14575 · 06/06/2015 07:31

Gosh, loving this thread, I am interested in the sheet masks and the apple peeling gel if anyone could link them if be very grateful!

lucysmam · 06/06/2015 07:50

Good morning ladies Smile

Cornwall, yes I did wonder but am going to have a sift through RRS and see if they have them & then trawl the previous thread for other reputable ebay sellers to search through their listings. I know it's a bit cheap of me but I only have a few quid here and there usually so need things as cheap as possible Smile

lucysmam · 06/06/2015 07:53

14575, tony moly appletox. I'll link some info shortly if no-one gets there before me...just getting sorted for footy with dd1 Smile

CornwallsFinest · 06/06/2015 08:09

Lucys me too! I used birthday money I had to purchase so far, I am tempted by the £1.99 with free delivery but will definitely be checking they're genuine.

14575 I ordered these.. www.bitsandbobsofbeauty.co.uk/#!product/prd15/3630324271/my-beauty-diary-hyaluronic-sheet-mask and loved my first mask! Skin was lovely soft and felt bouncy!

And the Mizon Apple Smoothie peeling gel from eBay, worked out at £7. Newsreaderchic has a short review above.

CornwallsFinest · 06/06/2015 08:10

Oh 14575 the bitsandbobs website has a 20% discount - DISCOUNT20

FrugalFashionista · 06/06/2015 08:38

Lucysmam I started testing the Etude House intro kit last night £7.99 on Best BB Creams). I think three of the mini products are fluid, started with the cream last nights, lovely and subtle citrus smell, no breakouts. Iirc the cream has been a bestseller in Korea, so wanted to try it. Will test the other products in the coming days.

Loving all the mini reviews! Samples are so much fun!

I did an Innisfree bija sheet mask last night. It was a zingy citrus, suited my skin really well. Have stopped gushing about my skin but it is looking really good, all plumped up, hyperpigmentation is fading, the pores on my nose have shrunk and no longer bother me, and I definitely have a glow.

Thanks ladies, just ordered both. Grin

lucysmam · 06/06/2015 09:29

Thanks Frugal, I will look that up too, once we get to footy.

& I'll have a konjac sponge hunt too if dd2 doesn't need my attention constantly - she usually goes clambering on the hill behind the 5-a-side cages the others play in so I should get chance.

XiCi · 06/06/2015 09:42

Is there anything in particular you would recommend for large pores and pigmentation Frugal?
I've yet to find a HG product for these

lucysmam · 06/06/2015 09:42

14575 an appletox review here. If you google 'appletox review', or similar, there are loads to read through. And several use different techniques to get the best from the product - I've seen mention of it used as a mask for up to 10 mins, a quick 2 min mask, a scrub & wash off type product. I suppose it depends which gives the best results for your skin Smile

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 06/06/2015 09:57

Do you know super drug do a konjac sponge?
Off to order the biore sunscreen.

lucysmam · 06/06/2015 10:02

I did not know that! Any idea how much? We're off through town on the way home. Could be tempted - but then, I am rather enjoying all the parcels Grin

FrugalFashionista · 06/06/2015 10:09

I caved and put on Biore. I need to use up the Chanel facial sunscreen, but it just feels too grim

XiCi I don't have particularly large pores elsewhere but those on my nose seem to fill up with gunk. The AHAs and BHAs seem to be helping, and I have also done weekly clay masks on my nose only. Perhaps switching to more liquid moisturizers has helped up too as I have always felt that skin creams fill my pores and just fester there. But no, haven't found any particular miracle product yet.

Can I just put in a small warning about Bioderma Sensibio miceller water? You want the pink one. The green one for oily skin stings like hell if you use it on your eyes. I learned the hard way....

XiCi · 06/06/2015 10:45

Oh oh OH My Cosrx has arrived together with my etude house beauty shot blur and about 10 samples. I'm beyond excited. Off to beautify myself!!!!

FrugalFashionista · 06/06/2015 11:01

Thanks for the warning Apatite! My pink Bioderma is almost finished, need a new bottle soon, so won't be tempted by the green bottle!

XiCi enjoy!!! And let us know what they feel like. I am really curious about the smell!
