Continuing on from here.

Summer and holidays are coming, and the Voguettes will be more than ready!

All welcome and the more links the better but please don't mention House of Colour. Wink

Karbea admittedly I am no gym wear expert but I have just never seen any workout clothes in anything other than black, pink, purple etc. Confused although I did just do a quick search and found these nice grey ones.

Happy wow! Ok you are serious riders Grin My DH has only had his licence a couple of years. He upgraded to a Yamaha MT07 a few weeks ago and mostly rides it to work. I'm guessing your bikes are a bit bigger and more comfortable!
I don't even have a helmet yet but I haven't ruled out getting on the back of it. I probably wouldn't go on a biker holiday though Grin

And the jeans are very cool. My DH wears kevlar jeans too. So obviously he bought me a set of sweaty leathers Hmm!

theatre was lovely. I've never seen live ballet before so I was entranced. I loved it, absolutely loved it, I'll definitely be going back for more if there are any new shows come to town

HappyGirlNow · 22/05/2015 22:53

We used to have an MT01. Nice choice!

We have a few bikes! Photo is mine, RSV4, we have a Hayabusa for tourisg, couple of Aprilias, KTM race bike, a Yamaha FZR and a couple of motocross bikes Blush kept in 2 garages! We like sporty bikes although my husband is pushing for a comfy BMW for touring - I am resisting! Just not sexy Wink

Haha at sweaty leathers! Love those kevlars - my husband also had their jeans. It's just nice to get to where you are going and feel not too trussed up! If you have the leathers you will need a helmet ha Grin Give it a try - bet you love it!

Lol I can't believe we are discussing bikes on MN Vogue.

Just read your list to DH and he was very impressed! Love the pic, it looks like a total beast Grin DH's old bike was a Suzuki motocross bike. Luckily I didn't need an excuse not to get on it as the seat was too small for 2. You're right, I do need to get a helmet now though!

Glad you had a good time One, it sounds lovely. I went to my first ballet only last year too.

Topazandpearl · 22/05/2015 23:31

Have only been to ballet once (Swan Lake) and loved it. Must go again.

Love all the bike talk, although it is the last thing I would do Grin.

I have been to Venice (loved it) and Milan (business trip so saw nothing apart from chemical plants - the glamour!) More of Italy, especially Rome, is on my list, as is Orkney. DH's grandfather was from there and he has been. Would love to take the DC there sometime.

Have a lovely half term everyone, whether home or away.

Karbea · 22/05/2015 23:34

happy try and get to the prada and gucci outlet stores, it's about 10years since I went but the bargains were amazing!

QueenCardigan · 23/05/2015 05:43

Morning. It's 5.38 but I'm sharing a room with little dd who is awake and coughing lots. It's going to be a loooong day if she doesn't go back to sleep.

I love Italy too. Only been to Rome, Florence,Naples and Capri but would absolutely love to do more.
Biking-you'd never get me in the back of a bike-I'd be far too scared!!

karbea how about sweaty betty or lulu lemon (I think that's the name?) for sportswear.

HappyGirlNow · 23/05/2015 06:42

Ha queen and topaz - you might love it!

Hope your wee one's better soon queen Did you like Naples? I heard it was a wee bit rough. I've never been but fancied Sicily as I heard they cook with more spice/chilli there than more Northerly Italy (bit of a foodie) and as we can't get a direct flight thought of flying to Naples where there's a ferry to Sicily. Was unsure whether it was worth spending a few days in Naples too?

HappyGirlNow · 23/05/2015 06:45

Thanks for the tip karbea Grin

HappyGirlNow · 23/05/2015 06:51

I know blair bit of a divert to S&B.. DH is racing this weekend so I'll be trackside all weekend. Unlike the last race weekend it's not blowing a gale and raining, for once in Scotland it's actually looking rather pleasant out there! Grin So jeans, long sleeved t shirt, white leather converse and Zara gilet for me with giant Chanel sunnies to try and inject a bit of glam!! GrinWink

BrandyAlexander · 23/05/2015 06:56

Morning all! We are going on holiday todayGrin

Ever since I picked up a tip from a mumsnetter to pack a week or two before, I can actually approach holidays with calm and excitement on the day. Also, i block the last 2 days off to stop me working right up to the wire. So am all packed, washed my hair and did a hair mask last night and woke up early so have just done nails. They are glowing orangeGrin

QueenC hope dd went back to sleep.

I couldn't believe I was on MNV when I first logged on, bikes totally alie to me!! But to add to the Italy talk, I absolutely love Italy although I have only been to Rome (about 6 times!), Milan and Venice. I think I am going to Milan again next year. In pre dc days, dh and I never quite made it to Amalfi, Tuscany or Sardinia but would love to do them.

OneLittleLady · 23/05/2015 06:59

I'm worried sick, the last message I had from Dp while I was asleep was that he was going to the hospital. he isn't answering messages or when I ring so I don't know what to do. I feel sick, I have been sick actually. Why didn't he call me?!

BrandyAlexander · 23/05/2015 07:03

By the way, it's been a rubbish week as not feeling well (holiday will be relaxing I hope!) but my highlight was me sending a picture to Shop pretty much of me in my underwear with no preamble. Bless, she just responded like it was a perfectly normal thing tI doGrin

Shop was actually helping me pick holiday clothes. Dh wasn't around when I first started tries on, then came home and again didn't bat an eyelid when I said I just need to send a picture to my friend.Grin Shop, I went and looked at the m&s kaftans but the small was a bit big.Hmm

BrandyAlexander · 23/05/2015 07:05

Oh gosh One, I am so sorry. Is there anyone in his family you could call?

Does he have an iPhone that you can use find my iPhone?

HappyGirlNow · 23/05/2015 07:10

novice I don't think I'd ever get sick of going to Rome Grin

Where are you going on holiday? I am packing Monday (we're going next Saturday) for exactly that reason - nice to start a holiday un-stressed! Smile I just make a wee list of last minute add ins like straighteners, phone charger etc so I don't forget anything. I also send pics to my friends all the time Grin I've planned each and every holiday outfit too, helps with not packing too much.

one are you ok?

OneLittleLady · 23/05/2015 07:16

Going to try ringing people now. i'm worried out of my mind right now. i don't understand why he didn't call me, i wouldn't have cared that he'd woken me up. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh, from thoughtful to thoughtless in less than 12 hours! i guess it keeps me on my toes though, right?

Karbea · 23/05/2015 07:20

One if he is in hospital he will probably have his phone off or have no signal, please try not to worry. I know that's impossible.

Karbea · 23/05/2015 07:21

He will have thought texting rather than calling at night was the right thing to do. Men don't think the same as women.

OneLittleLady · 23/05/2015 07:27

I'm going to go on pin and look at pretty things and just keep calling him and everyone else until someone answers. He knows how anxious I get, he must have known i'd be going out of my mind when I saw it, I keep being sick through the worry of it Sad you watch it be nothing major and me have been worried like this for nothing much!

Fedupnagging · 23/05/2015 07:50

It's busy on here this morning!

One, hope your dp is ok and try not to worry too much.

Queen poor you. hope dd improves and you both get some more sleep.

Novice have a fab time.

MNV is full of suprises, motorbikes and clothes. Never a dull moment, love it Smile

Karbea sports lux is the way to go I reckon. Do you actually have to wear work out gear? I sound like I know what I'm talking about but like you, not a trend I'm into Grin

Stokey · 23/05/2015 07:56

Love the Italian talk, Umbria is also stunning, like Tuscany but not as popular. Orvieto is beautiful. And the Italian islands are very pretty too, Elba where Napoleon was exiled. "Able I was ere I saw Elba", I love a palindrome .

I've got another fancy dress party in a couple of weeks, the theme is villains this time. What would you wear?

All the 40ths I've been going to seem to be regressing into fancy dress parties Grin

OneLittleLady · 23/05/2015 07:56

So, he's at HOME IN BED. he says it should have said 'going straight home to bed though' I swear I could strangle him right now. he's apologetic but I still feel sick. All that worry because he either can't type and/or his autocorrect is crazy. I was so scared, I was all set to ring his mum until he finally answered. He acknowledges he's got some SERIOUS making up to do when he gets here later

BrandyAlexander · 23/05/2015 07:57

Oh phew!! Thank goodness!

Fedupnagging · 23/05/2015 08:02

How about something like this Karbea?

Phew, that's a relief One.

How about Cruella de ville Stokey? Probably fairly easy to do although it's probably a really popular one.
