Continuing on from here.

Summer and holidays are coming, and the Voguettes will be more than ready!

All welcome and the more links the better but please don't mention House of Colour. Wink

No more links, just catching up from my rare shopping trip earlier this week!
I like the first trousers you linked happygirl, I do have a Zara local so might have a look at those.
I need to sort my summer stuff, it's in a pile on a spare bed but haven't felt like trying it on as it's been so chilly. Need to sort DCs too as no doubt it will all be too small!
Have uploaded MFP again to try and curb my snacking, probably not wise just before a bank holiday weekend!

MyVegasBaby · 22/05/2015 09:29

Oh and 20% off Whistles online and in store. Not sure for how long.

shopafrolic · 22/05/2015 10:31

extra 20% off the Outlet at Karen Millen with code OUTLET20 Until midnight Monday

libertychick · 22/05/2015 11:19

Thanks for new thread Blair. Have a relaxed ( ish) work lunch today. OOTD is midi Other Stories navy skirt, cream LK Bennett silk tank top, cream and beige stripe cardi, two tone Ray Jones brogues and orange and gold statement necklace.

Have a good Friday everyone.Smile

OneLittleLady · 22/05/2015 13:19

I'm so surprised. Dp has arranged for tickets for me and Dmil to go and see Madame Butterfly which is showing in the local theatre. He isn't going to be back in time to take me himself as the run ends tomorrow so he's arranged for me and his mum to go together. I was really shocked, I'd only mentioned it to him in passing as I knew he wouldn't be back in time for us to go and he's arranged this as he knows I so badly wanted to see it. He can be so thoughtful Smile

MyVegasBaby · 22/05/2015 14:09

What a nice treat One

OneLittleLady · 22/05/2015 14:15

it is myvegas i was a little bit teary when he rang me to tell me, he doesn't often do things like this which makes it all the more special when he does. it's always a lovely surprise when he just does something spur of the moment because he knows i'll love it. He's not one for big gestures, he's more, i guess subtle than that, he's not showy and shouty, if you know what i mean?

Stokey · 22/05/2015 14:38

I'm very jealous of your Italy trip Happy. Portofino and Florence sounds bliss. DH is still going to Paris for work but raised we couldn't really afford to go along with me not working. Slightly gutted he'll be there on the anniversary of our engagement.

I like those Zara belted trousers, they're on my to try list now.

I wore the Office flats on the school run this morning Shop and got loads of compliments, but did have a blister by the time I got home. I need to break them in a bit, I got the red ones BTW. But maybe you should buy the black too? They're so versatile.

I spoke to DD1's teacher yesterday which was good. She said that DD1 is very self-confident and seems happy at school and holds her own. But she'll keep an eye on things and make sure no-one is leaving her out. Thanks again for all the sympathy Flowers

Glad you enjoyed the opera Marsha, bet that dress looked fabulous!

HappyGirlNow · 22/05/2015 14:51

Thanks Stokey Grin Last year we did Florence itself and Sirmione in Lake Garda and it was amazing. I haven't been to Portofino but have wanted to for years so I'm very excited. We're eating in the restaurant where Richard Burton is meant to have proposed to Liz Taylor eeeek

I love Italy so much.

The trousers are great, nice fit, great price and 100% cotton. Well worth a try. The only colour I don't have is the beige but at that price I may get them too - full house Grin

HappyGirlNow · 22/05/2015 17:12

just the floral Zara blouse arrived - it's a keeper, lovely irl! Grin

shopafrolic · 22/05/2015 17:20

I got a blister too Stokey - will try them again this weekend. They were comfy so I was surprised to find one on my heel!
Would love to hear more once you've been to Portofino HappyGirl it's on my list after we had our honeymoon in Amalfi and I fell in love with Italy all over again :)
Is Zara delivery quick? First time ordering and I'm desperate to try the jacket

HappyGirlNow · 22/05/2015 17:30

Aw shop I am jealous you're going to Amalfi! We stayed in Rome then Amalfi (Positano) for our honeymoon, it really is the most beautiful place. Have you been before?

I will of course bore you re Portofino in due course Grin

Zara ordering is great right now. You can get express deliver 24-48 hours, but literally everything I order right now is coming out within 2 days on standard delivery. It's brilliant.

HappyGirlNow · 22/05/2015 17:31

Oh god sorry shop I think I have left my brain in the office - you also honeymooned in Amalfi! Blush

HappyGirlNow · 22/05/2015 17:32

Where did you stay?

shopafrolic · 22/05/2015 18:11

In Amalfi itself. Loved it. Visited Capri and Ravello as well. Beautiful.

Karbea · 22/05/2015 18:25

I'm jealous, I love Italy!

MyVegasBaby · 22/05/2015 19:29

Would love to go to Italy in the Summer, have been skiing there quite a few times and really enjoyed it.
Must be v quiet on here as for once I can keep up with the thread!

Fedupnagging · 22/05/2015 19:32

We have only been to Italy once (Florence) and loved it so really keen to visit again- the Amalifi coast is top of the list. Have a fab time Happy.

Thanks for the new thread Blair; I had no idea the other one was nearly full.

Well done on your new job Karbea. When do you start?

I have looked at all the links for the last few days but there are too many to comment on individually - I liked everything!

No fashion news from me - am trying not to buy any more summer clothes as our summers our woefully short. Am desperate to wear the dresses I bought recently but it's too cold!

One how nice of your DP. Have a lovely time.

I can't remember who is going away this weekend apart from Novice and Queen but have a fab time.

We are going to Norfolk with friends for a couple of days. So far my packing list is:
Jeans
Hoodies
Wellies
Wine Grin

Karbea · 22/05/2015 20:51

fedup I start in two weeks time! I asked her about uniform and currently there isn't one, but no jeans, smart sporty. Eckkkk I have nothing that fits that criteria... I really need your help!

HappyGirlNow · 22/05/2015 21:27

Italy is great eh!

We also went to Capri shop was great! Love Venice too. And Lake Garda. And adore Rome. You should try to get back to Italy fedup Grin

Lake Como or Sicily (probs Sicily) are next on the list but planning a big US road trip and also a week in Dubai for my husband's big birthday next year so will probably be the year after..

karbea is there anywhere in particular you'd recommend in Italy?

We have a week in Corfu in August at a very nice all inclusive but that will be nothing more than sunbathing and cocktails Grin and we have a few weekends planned away on the motorbike(s) but those will be Orkney Isles and Northern Ireland Antrim Coast and not exactly glamorous - mostly I will just need to think about my leathers Grin

Karbea · 22/05/2015 21:37

Ooo I've been to the Orkneys too, go to the italian Chapel.

Italy - lake como gorgeous, I stayed in bellagio. Verona isn't great but the opera is amazing! Venice is Venice, but defo go and see the glass factories. Tuscany is all amazing, Siena very pretty (day trip), Rome, is just beautiful every square has an amazing fountain, some of the non famous ones are more beautiful than the famous ones. I've also been to puglia which was beautiful but English isn't as widely spoken and we had some hilarious things happen because of this!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/05/2015 21:59

Another Italy lover here, though I have only done Tuscany (Florence twice, and Pisa) and Rome. Would love to go to the Amalfi Coast, Lake Como and the Cinque Terre - a few trips needed!

Happy my DH bought me motorbike leathers for Christmas, they haven't been worn yet! I take it you and your DH are both keen bikers?

Karbea we will sort you out! H&M has some nice, cheap workout gear that could tide you over? Maybe just get a really cool pair of running shoes, neon or something, to go with basic leggings and tops? You might have to forget autumn colours for your new uniform!

OP posts:
Karbea · 22/05/2015 22:10

blair I really want to try and keep to my autumn colours if poss...

HappyGirlNow · 22/05/2015 22:25

Ooh yes karbea our friends stay up in Thurso so there are a few of us going up to see them on the bikes (I am Scottish but further South) and we are getting the ferry to Orkney. They said we would go to the Italian Chapel so I googled it - looks amazing! I am very excited!

I love Venice, we've driven all through Tuscany to go from Florence to Lake Garda - Sirmione is fantastic! We also went to Bologna to Ducati factory etc..
Def need to get to Lake Como. I absolutely love Rome too...

blair we're visiting Pisa this year when we're there. We're also going to Rimini, to see the Mugello MotoGP and to Tavullia where Valentino Rossi is from, then Portofino Grin

So yes, we are bikers. We both ride. I only passed my test 3 years ago but my husband has rode forever and races too. When we go to N Ireland we are going to see the Armoy road race - love the road racing over there! What does your husband ride?

HappyGirlNow · 22/05/2015 22:28

And if we're doing biker chic - I have these - love them! And I just got this new helmet Grin
