Marsha not been to Malta but those reviews sound fantastic, I wouldn't worry too much as you always get some bad ones.

I've just done another order, from Topshop. Really need to stop, at this rate I'm going to be a sales shopping spectator. I bought versatile dress for holiday, shoes as recommended by Belinda and jacket for holiday. Jacket is not one of my colours, but I'm seeing them everywhere and it has to be green. I've needed a nice pair of flats for ages (don't own any flats aside from trainers and brogues) so decided to take the plunge before they sold out again. I got student discount on it all, so it wasn't quite FP.

Happygirl we were just watching a programme about the isle of man TT, do you ever go? Or does your DH even race maybe?! Hope you are having a nice time in Italy.

two assignments down, two to go. today has been such a slog to get them done and I can't go to bed yet as i have to do some files transfers so i can burn files to disc, damn you mac book for not having a cd drive!

Absolutely no fashion or shopping news to report, i've been in my pjs all day, haven't left the flat at all. I've decided I'm going to wear my sparkly topshop flats for the performance instead of ivory flats for a bit of sparkle and drama. they should give me something to feel good about while i perform in a terrified sort of fashion!

Marsha I have been to Malta twice - first time was a stopover on a Med cruise and we liked it so much we booked a week there with friends really quickly afterwards. It's gorgeous. great restaurants, fab weather, Mdina is amazing.

And yes the free evenings are great. DH has gone slightly mad making weekend plans, this weekend we are going into central London on Saturday and he has booked a really lovely restaurant for lunch on Sunday. Feel like I am reclaiming my life

I have those shoes and that dress Blair (though mine is the black version). Bought them both a few weeks ago and have had lots of wear.

Hello all. marsha decorating is done, carpet is down and I'm really happy with it. We just need to save for new sofas as they look really old now and get the electrician to put the lights back up. We worked out with the damp proof, wood burner and everything else, that we've spent over 10k .

Yesterday I did the hoc style development day with a friend. She's also an ingenue natural and there was also a natural ingenue there. Fascinating to see the similarities but also the differences between us. I didn't learn anything groundbreaking but got a better idea of necklines and also what skirts and dresses to try. I'm going shopping with my friend next week to have a trying on session.

In other news I've come across a job that I'm potentially intetested in. I don't want a job yet with the summer hols coming up and dd doing half days in September so will not apply but I'd like to email them to let them know I intetested should anything else come up in the future. It's for a telephone helpline for a charity and I meet the person spec etc. Trouble is ive totally lost my confidence for this sort of thing and I have no idea what I'd even say if I contact them. Help!

QueenC do you have a CV that you can send them? Then what you say can centre around you asking them to keep it on file for the future. I know it's scarier, but I'd consider ringing first to find out who to send it to as well - might make them more likely to remember you/actually read the email. Then you can tell them on the phone what you told us - that you'd love to work for them but won't be looking for a job until X date - and put a few sentences in the email summarising and say why you'd like to work for them and why you'd be good.

I've been awol for a while as I wasn't feeling well but I just ordered these so I guess that means I'm on the mend.

It's my first purchase in ages and I've never ordered from that website before, so fingers crossed.

I tried these on in tan IRL ages ago and I loved the style but tan really doesn't look nice against my very pale feet. It's a bit of a risk ordering them in navy but I can't get them out of my head and they're discounted.

The weather has been lovely here for the last two weeks so I've even got my legs out on a few occasions after slapping on some wash-off fake tan

Will try and keep up with you lot from now on and post a bit more regularly

Can't wait for the sales to start have already updated my sales wishlist pinboards for all the online retailers

Hello Linus, glad you're feeling better. I really like the wedges, they look comfy and you'll wear them loads I'm sure.

I go one step further and have all my sales wishlist boards as secret ones... I am really paranoid about showing lurkers people what I want to buy, in case it gives them ideas! Not that it matters now, as I'm flat broke. Hope the sales don't start this month!

The Uniqlo dresses are so bad that I'm not even going to link them!! Just really weird shapes and I took the measurements against a dress I have but they don't seem to match up at all .

Whilst looking online for dresses/skirts ive ordered some culottes instead!

Marsha I've never been to Malta but have heard great things about it, re: the poor reviews, have you read them? Are they being a tad over fussy? Sometimes I love reading the poor ones as you can tell some people are such moaners and will complain if there are only 2 lumps of ice in their drink instead of 3 I'd go for it.

QueenC good advice from Blair it is hard getting back into the job market after a long absence, especially on the confidence front but it's worth it making the effort. Glad your living room is finished.

Lovely weather, hurrah, put an old denim skirt on and it's all wrong, realised I should have bought the one I think Dry bought from Boden and realised the 25% off skirts was yesterday, grrr Dry if you're reading this what length did you go for? I think we are a similar height I may just bite the bullet and buy it.

Went for a quick trip to the Kings Rd this morning and bought this in tea rose and another pair of Lululemon leggings, then it was time to rush back for DD2.

Oh and Very Exclusive had a good sale (code is 6HULM, 50% off though not on everything) so ordered grey Converse and navy Ash boots.

I kept both black crew neck sweaters . The Woolovers one is great quality but the GAP one is lightweight and has long arms which are good for me. Both nice for different reasons......
