Great haul Novice I love the stud detailing on the jumpsuit, I also love the scarf too and I bet the dress looks fab on you.

QueenC I've been lurking at the SC/ JOliver and yes it has got really nasty, all I have to say is no amount of money or help would get me out of bed to exercise at 6am so hats off to you Novice and QueenC you're pretty disciplined with your early morning boot camps too. Me, I don't mind the gym but once I get out of the habit I find it hard to get back in. I'm a bit all or nothing and am going through a nothing period at the moment.

I've lost a fair bit of weight through no exercise at all but should do something to firm up a little, I'm lucky in that I've quite an athletic build so I don't look too flabby. Although reading that thread has made me think I should start doing more exercise, I have the time but not much inclination.Blush I'm trying to stay slim through diet and not exercise at the moment. In fact I could be exercising now Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/06/2015 12:26

Amber I started looking at snake print shoes Grin and found these which are quite similar to your amazing DVF ones... shame they are sold out or I'd have had to try. Love the idea though and will keep looking!

LOL Dry the one thing I have learnt from doing this is that Parish Council / career in politics is definitely not my bag - much prefer the power of social media :)
I wore black Paige skinnies, with black suede Crisi boots, grey J Crew v neck tee and black Zara blazer. Red lipstick :)
Both replacement black crew neck sweaters have arrived (impressive delivery times) - will take a look and report back.
novice too damn sexy by the pool - glad you got your mojo back

AmberNectarine · 02/06/2015 16:10

I have an exciting charity shop find to report

Brand new Chanel courts. Black, slightly sparkly leather with a block heel. I was just thinking I needed some new sensible height black shoes for when I go back to work and the fashion gods delivered. Not cheap, cheap at £95, but a lot cheaper than full retail over even LKB, Russell & Bromley etc. V. Pleased!

shopafrolic · 02/06/2015 16:28

We need a pic Amber - what a find!

Drywhiteplease · 02/06/2015 16:36

Wow that's fantastic Amber. Yes to a pic.

I made a complete prat of myself whilst delivering a bag to the charity shop. Spotted a Le Pliage in navy, mint condition at the back, asked the sales lady whether it was going on the shop floor for sale, she replied no because it was her bag! Grin I just said how lovely it was. Shame!

AmberNectarine · 02/06/2015 16:43

As you wish.

My ankles aren't really that wrinkly - it is a weird sock mark!

They look great Amber. What a find!

Fedupnagging · 02/06/2015 19:11

Fantastic find Amber.

Novice, great holiday haul. Really like that jumpsuit. I have a picture in my minds eye of you lying on your sunlounger, bling glinting in the sunlight, tapping away furiously as you order Grin

Am with Betty on the exersice at 6am thing - far too early! Although I have been known to take the dog for a walk at 7ish on a gorgeous summers morning. That was an 'interesting' thread.

No fashion news but I did buy some makeup which I will link in the absence of anything else!

OneLittleLady · 02/06/2015 19:12

they are fab fab fab amber great find, i wish I was so lucky with my finds!

exhausted today and the rest fo the week is going to be tough, very early starts and late finishes for the rest fo the week. it's performance week, friday is the day, i'm terrified tbh

Fedupnagging · 02/06/2015 19:28

Serum as recommended by mumsnetters

Lip pencil

Lipstick - this is my favourite everyday lipstick.

Also purchased this a few weeks ago - another recommendation from mumsnetters - including our very own Linus. I am expecting to look years younger any day now.....Grin

OneLittleLady · 02/06/2015 19:37

i love that lipstick colour fedup is it warm or cool toned on? if it's on the cooler side, i might give it a try myself.

planning performance day outfit. as my performance is built around personality clashes of the self and my equipment that is making the sounds is one black and one white wii mote and ive asked for black and white visuals, i think i'm going to go with black skinnies, ivory flats , ivory angel sleeve blouse and black cotton cardi. does that sound okay? very dull i know haha

Stokey · 02/06/2015 20:07

Great shoes Amber, I need to go west & scour some charity shops, ours are just Primarni.

I really like your Mango holiday dress Novice. Did you wear a bra under it? I love those strappy dresses but can never go braless.

Your outfit sounds great One but not very you - maybe you can wear a bright hair clip or belt or something?

I took DD1 to the eye hospital today to discuss having an operation to correct her squint and they've booked her in for Tuesday. I'm in shock as thought either they would say she may not need it or it would take a few months to get an appointment. Anyway no guarantee it will work - there's about a 70% success rate and a 30-40% chance it'll revert later - and it is purely cosmetic, but I don't want her feeling self-conscious about it when she's older. I had to make a snap decision so hope I've done the right thing. Always a bit scary when general anaesthetics are involved.

Karbea · 02/06/2015 20:26

stokey you've definitely made the right decision, but I know how you feel. But it'll be fine.

Ootd - channeling uma thurman in pulp fiction, white shirt, skinnies and my super comfy Lanvins.

AmberNectarine · 02/06/2015 21:19

Stokey My DD needed a GA when she was two to have her broken front tooth removed. Longest half hour of my life. She came round and immediately demanded a banana - she was right as rain!

libertychick · 02/06/2015 22:18

Amazing find Amber.

It's a shock having to make a decision that quickly Stokey but gut instinct is usually right. Really hope it works well for her.

Fedup I really want to know if the Alpha Gold works!!

One outfit sounds exactly right for the performance - as Stokey says maybe one accessory in a brighter colour to add a bit of drama and red lips. You'll be great.

Stokey · 03/06/2015 09:10

Thanks for the reassurance Karbea, Amber & Lib

Good to hear about your daughter Amber

I'm off to Westfield this morning - looking for some better boyfriend/girlfriend jeans. I have some GAP ones but they're a bit too baggy.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/06/2015 10:31

Hello all.

Stokey well done on the decision, you just have to go with your gut I think. It's great that they can fit her in so soon. Fingers crossed the op is a success, I'm sure she will be fine.

This dress has arrived for me to try, but I had to ring Selfridges to return the other 4 as it wouldn't let me generate a return online, turns out that was because of the value of the items Blush not something I'm familiar with.

I'm wearing the coral Armani dress today, I love it.

bettykt · 03/06/2015 11:11

Glad you love the dress Blair hope you feel like a million dollars

Stokey my dc had a GA at 5 months and another at 4 years and was fine after both of them. In fact it's us the parents who are more nervous about the whole thing, naturally. Flowers

AmberNectarine · 03/06/2015 12:44

Yes betty, I didn't sleep for weeks in the run up to DD's op. All she was bothered about was not being allowed any breakfast. To be fair, that is a big deal for her as she is a greedyguts.

Karbea · 03/06/2015 14:04

How brilliant is shopbop! Ordered on Monday arrived today!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/06/2015 20:29

That's really good Karbea. What did you order, work clothes? Are you keeping it all?

I'm keeping the DVF dress, I love it. QueenC I take back what I said about black and grey, I wore coral today and felt great. Grin Pretty broke now though.

Forgot to say amazing find Amber. I work in a town that theoretically should be good for charity shops, but never remember to look that frequently. And One you always have good finds!

AmberNectarine · 03/06/2015 20:42

Howdy all, so nice to have a bit of sunshine for a change!

Ordered a couple of DVF dresses in the Yoox sale. They sent me an extra 10% code so they were under £100 each.

Had a bit of a wardrobe sort out today - moved all the clothes which no longer fit out of my wardrobe and into storage (still a bit scared to get rid of lots of it in case I put the weight back on!) Nice not to have to rummage!

MarshaBrady · 03/06/2015 21:00

They sound good Amber you'll have to link when they turn up.

Novice great pool side shopping, impressed!

Stokey lovely, sending you hugs and lots of good wishes. It'll be fine. I understand your nerves. Ds had a GA for the MRI when he was little, I was practically climbing the walls.

Nearly ready to book a lovely hotel. But 500ish excellent 5 star reviews, 200ish very good and 20 poor. The 20 poor are bugging me!

Has anyone been to Malta? Did you like it?

MarshaBrady · 03/06/2015 21:29

Blair bet you look amazing in those dresses.

Lib how are you free evenings feeling? Pretty good I expect! Especially with this late light.

Shop how are you doing after your big night?

QueenC how is the decorating?

Hmm will see if I can think of any more questions off the top of my head.
