Summer and holidays are coming, and the Voguettes will be more than ready!

All welcome and the more links the better but please don't mention House of Colour. Wink

shop for prime minister!

Drywhiteplease · 01/06/2015 19:09

Go Shop!

Blair CUWAG very select group Wink, love her style but she's horrible isn't she?

Marsha I'm late, think you've done the right thing not rushing into a purchase am I really saying this? If only I could learn from my own adviceGrin .... I see your dilemma , navy not navy enough, coral too clashy/matchy with bag.....leaves the mustard. I actually agree with the SA, mustard would go with almost anything and I loved all the yellow bags around last SS .

Great with black
Great with navy
Fab with khaki and Browns
Love with oranges and reds

I'm tempting myself...........what you really need is them in a pale blue, would be so you.

Karbea love the gym wardrobe. I like a cropped top showing under a vest. Trainers look goid. At the mo my gym is full of bright trainers, I haven't seen anyone in the khaki and think it looks very directional and different.

Betty nothing wrong with a bit of Sports Direct mixed in with other stuff.

And my friends, if you could see me now I'd be expelled Grin can't even describe what I'm wearing not a onesie but I'm so cosy, bit bleak outdoors Smile

Oh and red patent loafers are going back......what my MIL would refer to as "very jolly", noooooooooooooooooo

Drywhiteplease · 01/06/2015 19:17

Oh and Blair I love that TS grey jacket. I have almost identical style (round neck) in Orange boiled wool from Zara last year. My stone leather biker is fitted like that too.

MarshaBrady · 01/06/2015 19:23

Haha Dry at very jolly, I laughed out loud and ds said what

It is always a fine line with ultra bright

Yes pale blue. One year they had them, ONCE and I missed them and then the perfect blush ones and missed those too. The colours have been nearly right since then.

Shop brilliant love it. Good luck!

Fedupnagging · 01/06/2015 19:29

Just popping in to say good luck tonight Shop.

Late to the party but I love all 3 colours Marsha but unless they go with your wardrobe clothes not furniture! it's probably a no. Fwiw, the coral are my fave.

Karbea love what you have put together on the mood board and the more I look at the snake print, the more I like it - more subtle than bright colours. Trainers, I have no idea, mine are purple Nike something or other. Just go with what coordinates with your outfits.

I have 150 pages of a book to read before tomorrow so am going to hide the iPad to avoid distractions!

libertychick · 01/06/2015 19:33

Good luck tonight Shop. Top tip - make people responsible for actions. Do not leave with all the tasks!

Marsha I vote yellow too. V versatile colour IMO.

Thanks for all the lovely supportive comments on my study. I struggled with it as I felt like a bit of a wuss to defer. I mentioned it to the person I report to today and he said he was relieved too as he didn't know how I could study and cover everything we have on over the next few months.

karbea love the mood board. I will look at your pin board properly later. On train ATM.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/06/2015 19:33

Dry I found the actual jacket, it's this one so yep round neck. Think I will wear it loads!
CUWAG yes Grin omg she's a total bitch but it's so compelling. I love it.

Just had a massive trying on sesh of the dresses, yes I took pics. Forgot to bring my other parcel home, doh.

Shop good luck, you'll be great! Sorry to hear there are so many issues needing sorting in your village. It's brilliant you're getting so involved.

I am pissed off. I've been called for jury service. Sad I know it's my civil duty bla bla but it's just an annoyance. I suppose it will never be good timing though. But it's the money more than anything, I need to talk to work to see if I will still get paid. If not I can only claim £65 a day :( (assuming it lasts less than 2 weeks, lol...)

libertychick · 01/06/2015 19:39

Gah for you Blair. It is a nuisance.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/06/2015 19:46

I shouldn't moan. I know I'm lucky to live in a country where people get jury trials. :) And I don't have childcare to organise or anything. If it turns out work will still pay me, then it will be fine really.

Blair I really hope they will.

MarshaBrady · 01/06/2015 19:51

Lib I have no idea how you did it. Really. Definitely not a wuss to defer!

QueenCardigan · 01/06/2015 20:38

blair I didn't realise that you didn't get paid as normal but I've never really thought about it. But yes, good to do now before you may have kids.
shop knock 'em dead. And have Wine after.
lib definitely not a wuss. It takes courage to defer rather than try and continue. A break will do you good and give you renewed enthusiasm next year.
karbea love the mood board. Apologies, I did look at pin board but forgot to comment. Are you working everynday? I'd be tempted just to buy the minimum now and see what everyone else wears and then buy more stuff after a couple of weeks.
blair how did you feel today in black and grey?

Karbea · 01/06/2015 20:59

Shoes30 gives you 30% off selfridges shoes...

Karbea · 01/06/2015 21:01

queen I'll be working 3 days, I'm not too fussed about buying things as I need new gym kit anyway.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/06/2015 21:04

QueenC I felt good, very 'put together' - but was probably because of what I was wearing rather than the colours. I was explaining to DH how it's harder to find things like work dresses on the high street that aren't black - hence trying to get some colour with the Selfridges order. Getting the style and the colour right is so hard!

Anyway before I waffle on - I suppose I'm saying style makes me feel better than colour, at the moment.

Hello! Got some holiday links for you all!

Firstly, this Mango dress looked great on, especially the red one. I have way up more top than the model so it looked sexy and I wore them for dinner. The Tart dress also looked great at dinner.

My best buys though were the jewelry I bought from Accessorize. I hate the stress of carrying bling so like to get stuff I am not going to worry about. This layered necklace looks nothing special in the photo but looks amazing on with bikini. Absolutely loved it. I mixed it up with this layered necklace but loved the first one more. I also got these sweeting stacking rings plus this one and this one.

bettykt · 01/06/2015 21:56

Novice I love that you wear bling with a bikini very Vogue. Your mother would be proud Grin Great Accessorize pieces.

Karbea I like the sound of your new job. I've just given up my gym membership as they were getting on my nerves so am thinking of going PAYG to a yoga/pilates studio instead.

BrandyAlexander · 01/06/2015 22:07

Of course I would wear bling with a bikini.....Oh god, I am my mothers child!!Shock

I am sat in bed wearing red M&s pyjamas and still wearing my Swarovski ring and this bracelet. Pweeety.Smile

BrandyAlexander · 01/06/2015 22:17

While everyone is away, I will 'fess up to my poolside shopping spree at Selfridges. In my defence, once I felt better and relaxed, I got my shopping mojo back. Also I managed to shop using a credit card that was back home in the UK. I have realised I know my cvv for all 4 of my credit cards off by heart.Blush

Something for this summer. Maybe dinner out?

A bit more casual maybe with denim jacket.

A bit brave considering I have lost my £400 cashmere one Blush.

Obsession with cream jackets continues. Bet this goes back!

Have wanted a jumpsuit for ages. Worried I will look about 12!

Finally....Huge shock! Blair and I bought the same dvf dress. She looks lovely in hers.

shopafrolic · 01/06/2015 22:38

210 people!!!! 210. GASP
I'm off to bed.

BrandyAlexander · 01/06/2015 22:41

Oooh Shop well done my darling xxxx

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/06/2015 22:57

Wow shop, bet you were great. What did you wear?

novice wow at the poolside shopping spree! The coral dress is gorgeous. I'm not sure on the DVF for me, but may have another quick try on before bed.

Lady Mayoress....imagine the hats Shop Grin

QueenCardigan · 02/06/2015 10:36

I need this lovely sanctuary. I've been following the Sam cam/jools Oliver thread and have just caught up with it. Wow, it's got nasty.

novice I love the thought of you wearing bling with a bikini. But don't you get tan lines? Love the jumpsuit. I can't believe that I still haven't tried one.
blair have you looked at lk bennett? Their dresses are lined (well, my Davina is) and I've tried on a dvf and they're fairly similar shapes.

Having a lovely morning baking and listening to absolute 80s Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/06/2015 12:02

Thanks QueenC, just had a look and there are some lovely ones on LKB. I also need to check Austin Reed as I get 20% off there. But I've ordered another DVF dress to try now Blush so looks like I may keep that and the coral Armani and then I will be broke anyway! Wink

I don't get the Sam cam thread. It seems like everyone is just shouting over each other to try to be the loudest.

I haven't tried any jumpsuits either, though I own one playsuit. Having a long body and short legs puts me off the idea, as I don't expect any to fit me.
