Lib great that you can do that, a good decision.

Drywhiteplease · 01/06/2015 07:51

Great liberty, brilliant decision.

libertychick · 01/06/2015 08:08

Thanks. Feels great knowing that when I finish work today I don't have 2 hours study to do. Smile

Fedupnagging · 01/06/2015 08:17

Karbea you've pinned some lovely outfits. I would suggest that you get maybe a few plain pieces that all work together and then build up your wardrobe from there - when you have worked there for a couple of weeks you may get a stronger idea of what you like/need/works for the job you are doing.

Maybe the plain khaki leggings and orange top? I notice there are a lot of cropped tops, will you working reception in a cropped top or will you need to be covered up? In which case, one crop and a couple of normal tops. Really like the orange with the crossed back and the purple.

Lib sounds like you made a good call - your dd is only a child for a short period of time so make the most of it. Really pleased you feel happy with your decision. Shame about the M&S order.

Shop hope you are feeling a bit better today.

shopafrolic · 01/06/2015 09:13

Morning all up to a 1/3 off French pharmacy here

bettykt · 01/06/2015 10:48

Morning Voguettes, back from half term hols, so have only read the last few posts

Lib sounds like a good idea, it's good to stretch and challenge yourself but when it all becomes a bit much it's also fine to apply the breaks and ease off the gas for a short while. I was doing 3 jobs and decided to knock one of them on the head as I wasn't enjoying it, I too felt an instant weight off my shoulders and it also allowed me to concentrate on the other 2 jobs.

Whilst away I was in a fashion abyss - Centre Parcs so will not regale my holiday wardrobe, bretons and harems comfy clothes for bike riding and easy to get on and off for swimming Grin am already planning my next holiday, but it must be to somewhere hot.

BrandyAlexander · 01/06/2015 11:06

Morning everyone! My poor dcs were still on holiday time and boy were they kranky this morning. Hope everyone else's dc's were in better spirits!

Lib I agree with everyone that it is a good decision. I so admire how you have coped this last year, and I admire you for taking this decision too. Smile.

Betty, it's our annual CP holiday next month. Your words fashion abyss have never been so apt!

Karbea · 01/06/2015 12:13

fedup the image I have in my head is wear crop tops/bras and a slouchy t shirt over the top. I don't really like tight stuff to walk around in, but do when exercising as I like to see my flab body in the mirror so I know I'm moving correctly.

lib will dm you! that's good about your course! you clearly need some me/play time.

OneLittleLady · 01/06/2015 12:55

hello all,

glad you made the right decision for you and your family lib feeling like a weights been lifted is a sure sign you made the right call

How are you feeling today shop? and you marsha?

Actually think i look quite nice today. wearing a navy and white spotted sort of vintage style chiffon dress from DP with a red uniqlo cardigan and black tights. it suits my shape and I even pinned my hair up to make a change in a sort of half plait, rolled low up do sort of thing and it looks quite pretty. stuck a nude ish coloured flower clip in the rolled part and it looks soft and pretty. feel pretty okay with how i look today which is a nice change as I normally feel pretty BLAH about the way I look

MarshaBrady · 01/06/2015 13:19

I'm feeling much better thanks One

Very low on battery in a shop as usual, so quickly which colour do you prefer?

Taking into account orange bag. I love the coral orange alone but need to be careful about brightness / near match overload.

MN Vogue Vol 59
bettykt · 01/06/2015 13:28

Marsha I'm going to be classic and boring and say the navy ones, very closely followed by red/coral? ones on the left. The middle ones are my least favourite colour.

MarshaBrady · 01/06/2015 13:39

Thanks Betty Yes I fear another bright colour situation. Sales guy says the mustardy yellow.

Have gone for a drink I a cafe to decide, so thirsty. It's ok to say nine as I'm not sure.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/06/2015 13:46

I bet you look lovely One.

Marsha, yes, navy. If it wasn't for the orange bag I'd say coral. And yellow shoes are just asking for some kind of mud/food related disaster imo, though I do love the colour.

My OOTD is a black (!) pencil dress from asos that I wish they would do again as it's quite Roland Mouret-esque. Plus Topshop jacket (though I've literally just realised mine has a round neck and black zip) which is so comfy. I need more jersey jackets in my life!

My selfridges haul has arrived, along with another parcel that I haven't seen yet and can't remember what it is Blush. It might be a Gap order I did at the weekend which included 2 bags - this and this - for holiday.

Lib glad to hear you feel better for making the decision, it can't have been easy. I'm sure it will be much better for you to go back to it when you're ready and excited about doing it once more.

Finally where do I sign up to join the Claire Underwood Wardrobe Appreciation Group?!?! Dry fedup Grin

QueenCardigan · 01/06/2015 14:12

Have you bought them yet marsha ? my personal favourite are the navy although for you I'd say orange but not worn at the same time as the bag.

I need new navy flats too as my ones from last year are very nearly dead and have become v uncomfortable because of the worn down heel.

shop you feeling better? Good luck for tonight.

lib glad you're happier. Sounds like the right decision.

Karbea · 01/06/2015 14:28

Definitely orange, but bear in mind I'm having an orange phase. Do don't drag your bag along next to your shoes do you.

justasecond · 01/06/2015 15:21

I love the orange too Marsha closely followed by the navy. Yellow good too but not as versatile I think?
Well done on making a difficult decision Lib
I loved your Lanvin pumps Karbea such a pretty colour
Look forward to your selfridges haul feedback Blair
Oh and Mara great Equipment dress

MarshaBrady · 01/06/2015 15:24

Not yet QueenC I left the shopping zone as blasted phone ran out and I needed to see replies.

Karbea true

Blair I like your style.

The navy are a bit too blue for me rather than dark real navy and I'm not as keen.

Gone off the mustard yellow. Do love the coral but bag issue. And Needs to be perfect for the ££. But will consider and go back if I can decide.

Karbea · 01/06/2015 16:47

Right instead of cleaning I've made a mode board for you all to critique Grin ignore the chanel, I'm just a little in love... I'm really stuck on shoes, I've never been a trainer person so no idea what's "in".

MN Vogue Vol 59
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/06/2015 16:56

Karbea I like the khaki trainers best, second down on the right. Your work wardrobe is going to look great!

OP posts:
Karbea · 01/06/2015 16:59

Do you think all the rest goes together and is enough/too much?

shopafrolic · 01/06/2015 17:22

Quick wave - Marsha I would have said coral - the blue need to be darker......
Lib GREAT decision - well done Novice take note :)
Over 150 confirmed attending this meeting tonight - scared emoticon

bettykt · 01/06/2015 17:50

Good luck Shop for tonight, you'll knock 'em dead in your smart jacket.

Great haul Blair love the dress and the clutch

Karbea I love the trainers too, it's great how you can find good sportswear if you know where to look i.e. not Sport Direct like me Blush

Did you decide on a colour in the end Marsha?

MarshaBrady · 01/06/2015 17:56

Betty no I decided against the navy as not dark enough and the yellow as too off the wall. Love the orange but have bag / shoe issues. Need to decide soon though as they will go.

Shop how have I missed this, what are you doing tonight?

Karbea that all looks really nice. Are you doing classes in the yoga studio? I have missed that too. I like all the olive green colours on your moodboard.

Thanks Justa

Karbea · 01/06/2015 18:01

matsha I'll get free classes!

shop good luck! Knock 'em dead!
