Somehow I have it in my head that if I use my effeclar duo with salicylic acid in it or my clearasil pads it will take off my newly acquired tan. Am I right?

I'm worried that if I don't go back to using my effeclar duo my skin will go all rubbish again. Confused

My skin is looking the best it has in forever thanks to a decent routine.

RichInBunlyGoodness · 30/06/2015 21:28

Hello, I've been lurking since the start and still tinkering with my routine. Bigbuttons I seem to remember you had made a Lush ultrabland dupe. Could I just ask if you have any idea of the ph of it?

diggerdigsdogs · 01/07/2015 15:15

buttons thanks for that, it makes sense and I know CH always says we know our faces better than she does!

So how does one know if you're using too much acid? Face just feels a bit sensitive?

I have a couple of treatments/acids that are only supposed to be used once or twice a week or so. Can I use ALL of them once or twice a week (i.e. each product is used once or twice in the same week) or should they be more spaced out?

bigbuttons · 01/07/2015 16:28

digger which products are they and how strong are the acids? I have found that with using tretinoin and daily acids that my face is too sensitive for stronger peels .

rich I will try to remember to test my Ultrabland dupe for you. My test strips are basic and could only give a ball park figure!

BigButtons, which SULWHASOO CREAM do you think is great? Is it the one in this kit?

plasticbanana I think it is more than great. It is probably the best thing I have ever put on my face for hydrating, giving a plump, smooth look and making me look, well younger!
I can't see the name on the pot very clearly. The face cream I have is the concentrated ginseng one, but I bought it as lots of samples. It works out much cheaper per ml to do it that way. A 1ml sample sachet lasts me 2-3 days. It is so concentrated that you only need the tiniest amount for amazing results. I also have some eye cream by them too. The time treasure renovating eye cream. That is also bloody amazing!

Another thing I can't remember if I've already mentioned, but I had very pronounced nose mouth lines. My mum has them, so I thought I was stuck with them. They were rather ageing. Since starting my new face routine in April, but especially in the last month they are vastly reduced.
I don't know which particular product is helping, but the lines are plumped out and barely visible on my face when not smiling. When I do smile they are now very shallow. Hooray!

Thanks BigButtons. I've ordered the Sulwhasoo tester kit so I'll look forward to trying it out. Ugh I've just noticed the full size is £147!!!!!!! I hope I hate it! Damn their ginseng magic.
This is for you BigButtons Flowers. I think my skin is the best its EVER been. I'm doing vit C (20% in water freshly made each morning) and DIY niacinamide/glucosamine/licorice/bearberry/several other botanical extracts serum each evening. Thanks to you.

plasticbanana · 02/07/2015 18:23

Oh yes BigButtons I see the samples are MUCH more affordable!

bigbuttons · 02/07/2015 18:24

plasticbanana thank you for such kind wordsBlush I'm so happy for you you, really I am.
Don't buy the full size pot, blimey, get the samples, much cheaper and much more hygienic.
Interested in you serums. Can you tell me more about your NAG drum? Sounds really interesting . Do you have a recipe? I have been wondering how to ramp mine upSmile.

Quiche lovers, I have been glued to this and the previous thread for the last 3 days. And have spent a fortune as a result Shock

I have lived in he UAE for 6 years and have only just realised that my moisturiser has no sunscreen as I'd supposed, so I've been on a vertical learning curve thanks to all you lovelies ...

So: does this sound OK?! I'm nearly 50 with quite lined skin and chin spots. I kNOW ... attractive! I need a big overhaul, so I've been on Amazon in readiness for my trip back to Blighty next week Grin

AM
Cetaphil hot cloth cleanse
Clearasil stay-clear pads or Effaclar Duo
Oz Naturals Vitamin C serum
Cerave Moisturiser
Eucerin sun face fluid

PM
Micellar water cleanse
Cetaphil / LRP Effaclar hot cloth cleanse
Nip & Fab glycolic acid tone
Oz Naturals / Vichy Aqualia / Aldi serum
Cerave or NY Frankincense

I also have Liquid Gold to use 2-3 times a week ... you can see I'm desperate - and determined - to have the best skin I can as I fade into menopausal obscurity!!

Any amendments needed?

Thank you, lovely quiches. Your help and wisdom is much appreciated.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 04/07/2015 08:40

Wotcha Quichers! Have been awol for a while (and tapping fingers waiting for my snaily thingies to arrive - they still haven't, but pleased to see Gerti is still raving about them! Hope they arrive before I leave for UK next week with my shopping list- I will be the madwoman hurtling through Boots yelling "get me Hylamide! get me Nip and Fab! Get me a bouncy thingy to sleep in!" Grin

Anyway, (remember I'm the NY Frankincense Holy Grailer) My

dranksangriainthepark I have a sneaking suspicion that it's the retin that's made the biggest difference. The acid toning has also really helped. the sulwhasoo has taken it all up another level though!

back2two I am beyond impressed with the sulphas time treasure renovating eye cream. Got samples from eBay. Honestly, it's been life changing for me.
