for me

QueenCardigan · 03/05/2015 08:50

How about these espadrilles mazjacks Grin

BrandyAlexander · 03/05/2015 08:50

Morning QueenC Thanks

Just about to check out your lovely links but have a question for you re the other thread. Was the look I was describing the posh look?BlushConfused

MyVegasBaby · 03/05/2015 08:51

QueenCardigan love the zebra dress an the Miu Mius, just need a spare £1000!

Stokey · 03/05/2015 09:03

I think you were spot on Novice.

Lots of people on that thread were getting hung up on the jeans tucked in to brown boots and gilet/barbour look which IMO is more horsey/country than posh - the two aren't synonymous! I doubt the Made in Chelsea crowd would wear half the things mentioned, and think the OP was after more of the preppy look you described.

QueenCardigan · 03/05/2015 09:19

novice tbh I've no idea really what the poster was after. I think your preppy look was spot on but she also seemed to want white stuff/joules Confused. i was posting from a middle class sahm perspective and what's popular at our school gates.

BrandyAlexander · 03/05/2015 09:49

QueenC love the links, especially the silver sandals and the glittery flats- first things I have been tempted by in yonks other than that gorgeous Valentino dress. You will be entirely to blame if I get that dress!!!!

A warm welcome and hello to MyVegasBaby.

Stokey and QueenC phew thanks! I thought what she was asking was similar to how I dress but then got confused by many of the responses, though not by the purely nasty ones!Grin

muddlingalongquitenicely · 03/05/2015 10:04

Wish i had known the tip of the R&B flats Novice from that thread. In a 3/4 shoe and was tempted by some in Chester but ended up with some red herring ones to try as i dont wear flats that often and didnt want to spend a lot on shoes i might not wear.

BrandyAlexander · 03/05/2015 10:14

muddling' I am 5'2", size 6 clothes and size 3.5 feet. I love R&B because they do half sizes. It was my friend who is similar frame to me, who tipped me off last year (the adult ones are about £120).

I also discovered that in Gap, I am a 13 year old girl, so I can buy those cheaper jeans and clothes at half the price of the adult ones. I stopped growing at about 12/13 so why the penny has never dropped before is a mystery!Confused

mazj4cks · 03/05/2015 10:52

Grin umm yeah I'm not sure my ankles would cope with them on the school run queen Smile

Cranagh · 03/05/2015 11:08

I love that dress, QueenC. Dream, dream!

It's my third Natasha, Stokey, I'm worried they will stop making them! Ebayed a bag I rarely used and it covered the cost.

Must read that middle class thread! We live in quite a MC area and the look is tall, thin, tanned, long blond hair, skinny jeans, Belstaff jacket. Gilets only if walking the dog!

muddlingalongquitenicely · 03/05/2015 11:48

I always look in the children's trainer section for me, no idea why it never occured to me to look for shoes!

AmberNectarine · 03/05/2015 11:49

My head! Went to an all you can drink prosecco brunch yesterday. DH came home with the kids to find me in bed at 6pm. I was a state. The was up most of the night with the most hideous hangover.

Bought a couple of bits in Topshop on Friday these shoes which I just love and this dress which I accidentally picked up in a 6 petite but it fits perfectly so that's lucky. DH very keen on the dress and asked me to send him a photo of me wearing it!

Wore the new shoes yesterday with black high waisted skinnies, black and white cropped Breton tee, black leather biker, gunmetal Tiffany cuff and red/black McQueen skull scarf. Was pleased with that outfit, though god knows where is now!

Fedupnagging · 03/05/2015 12:01

I had a great time last night thanks Cranagh although not feeling too great this morning! Am guessing that Dry and Blair might be feeling the same Grin

Hi and welcome to Myvegasbaby

Great links as usual Queen - love the silver sandals.

Loved your workwear links too Novice

Which espadrilles are you going for Maz? I love the topshop ones and the Jigsaw ones are nice too - I tried them on the other day along with a pointy pair in Clarks. Don't think they suit me though sadly.

I love wearing Bretons and skinnies (one of the few good looks for me) but didn't realise they had that 'mumsy' rep Blush. Last week I wore the J Crew embellished Breton with off white skinnies turned up and blue loafers.

Am off to have a look at the preppy thread you've just mentioned love a gilet - sooo useful

bettykt · 03/05/2015 12:31

Mazjacks I liked the Park Lane asos black and white espadrilles, although I'm not an espadrilles wearer.

Great links as per usual QueenC I'll take the Alaia bag, swoon.

That posh/mc/preppy thread was quite interesting especially as everyone's ideas of posh/mc are very different.

Still in pjs oh the shame Blush but in my defence I'm not feeling too great, not booze related. Been playing geoguessr with dh all morning, MN has a new rival!

Amber I was unable to open the link for your shoes.

Hope those of you who were out last night/drinking are feeling good and not too fragile.

Need to shower and get dressed, although I do love a lazy pj Sunday when the weather isn't too great.

OneLittleLady · 03/05/2015 13:05

hello all

lazy day for me today, i only got dressed about half an hour ago. waiting for Dbro to come to hang some pictures for me, finally found some collage frames I was happy with so they are going on the wall this afternoon. need to get myself motivated to do soem college work but by god do i not want to do it, i just want to listen to music and drink coffee with no pressure to do anything but alas, i really do have to start getting on with it

OOTD is grey acid wash skinnies, bambi slippers, bright red wonder woman tee and black cotton/cashmere cardigan. it's bright and sunny but very chilly here

shopafrolic · 03/05/2015 13:17

Sunny here now :)
Love those leathers QueenC - have gone on my Lust List (also known as things I love but can never afford)
What other thread? Off to look.

Drywhiteplease · 03/05/2015 15:15

QueenC I LOVE the Rossis, absolutely my type of going out shoe.

A miracle.....I have no headache. Put this down to decent champ and wine and plenty of water.

Off to check out middle class thread..............

Drywhiteplease · 03/05/2015 15:19

Is it a joke?

Karbea · 03/05/2015 15:37

Hello all!

Ootd gucci animal print bikini!

I'm so behind on the thread.
I ended up getting a pair of espadrilles from primark (don't kill me!) they are Lacey but not the ones that they had lots of, I really like them, but what it's made me realise is I'll get a lot of use of them, so I'm going to try and get hold of a pair of the Chanel ones when I'm home.

I'm now on the look out for an outfit to wear to dhs friends engagement party when we are back, I'd love to wear my rockstuds... Anyone seen anything nice for me?

Karbea · 03/05/2015 15:47

Argh that sort of thread really winds me up! The poor op just wants to better herself/look a different way and all the "wear what you like" mob wade in with all their usual rubbish! The last time I looked this is "style and beauty" whenever sometimes asks for advice they get slated. If op had asked if it's ok to go to waitrose in pjs they'd all have said "yes that's fine as long as you feel comfy" arghhhhhh!!!!

Drywhiteplease · 03/05/2015 18:11

Novice I'm posh and I wear pearls, I'm a cliche

Off to start thread on AIBU "my friend calls me a cliche because I'm posh and wear pearls........." Grin

muddlingalongquitenicely · 03/05/2015 18:15

Think i have found my new drink for the summer.... Gin daisy tastes like lemon sherbet!

shopafrolic · 03/05/2015 19:14

LinusDKD · 03/05/2015 19:19

Evening!

I saw these on the Workwear Edit and I just love them. Shame they are pointy, otherwise I would order them in a heartbeat

queenc your cup of tea? Wink

Oh yes muddling ingredients please. DH and I love a good cocktail.
