Stokey which colour did you get? I'm v tempted to get the black next month. They are fab. And v comfy.
Linus I like the scale and the stone of that. The fact it's hinged is awesome. Would have come in handy in my clubbing days Wink
Blair thanks for the Theory feedback. Will have to see if it is still there on the 1st.
Sexy...... When I wear a dress and heels to go out I do feel sexy. And I felt surprisingly sexy on hols but that was probably the sunshine and the cocktails! Day to day school run mum? Nope. Lucky if I manage to put make up on....

I only ever wear make up when I go out. The only saving grace at the moment is that I have a nice tan from being outside running so much. I'm looking forward to the end of my sabbatical solely so I can look less dishevelled!

AmberNectarine · 20/05/2015 19:28

I was thinking that about the ring too Shop, we clearly had a similarly misspent youth I used to put stuff in my bra

shopafrolic · 20/05/2015 19:32

I can't tell you where I put mine on some occasions Amber Blush Grin
Although I also remember the padding pocket in my Wonderbra (why I needed one of those at 32E I don't know) came in very handy.

When do you go back to work Amber? Are you looking forward to it?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/05/2015 19:35

Thanks queenC, I agree we're quite close on the spectrum. I am quite relaxed about it too (buy any old shade of navy for instance) but it just confuses me to be told that I suit cool makeup. The reason I did the colour day was to become more efficient in my shopping, so anything that potentially opens up more options to me makes me panic. I like the rules Blush - not all the time but I do like them.

That's so sweet about your DH. It's the natural in you :)

to Linus!

What's the dress update Marsha?

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 20/05/2015 20:29

The pink Paul & Joe is nice but I'm wondering whether the top part is a bit loose. Ordered another one, a Maje long one which has just turned up.

Will try on both again and decide. And some flats and shorts, which will link if not too bad, the flats are not looking promising so will probably send back.

Back in a mo to catch up.

shopafrolic · 20/05/2015 20:34

Like that one Marsha - versatile too

Thanks, got to love outnet night time delivery, such a lifesaver!

QueenCardigan · 20/05/2015 20:51

Love that maje marsha

libertychick · 20/05/2015 21:18

Maje dress is gorgeous marsha.

Back from Ireland and have my usual post-ireland blues. Can never work out exactly what that is about. Mix of being homesick but also exhausted by my mother.

Blair it's all so subjective. Your wedding makeup was amazing. I think warmer lipsticks are better on you Smile

Sexy - what's that?? Grin has been ages since I felt like that. Actually last MU I felt quite good. Fitted but flattering dress and heels.

Best buy - my Jigsaw biker style beige cardi, smartish but comfy, v versatile.

Summer sales - have my eye on a few things. A Weekend Maxmara dress, some trousers and a poncho.

Best colours, cream, teal, mustard, brick red.

stokey hope your DD is OK. It's horrible when you know they are having a hard time. Really hope the school can help.

libertychick · 20/05/2015 21:20

Oh and shop I love it every time you say how good the HL leathers are Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/05/2015 21:45

Hey lib! Hope you had a good time though? It's always a bit rubbish coming back to your normal routine.

Marsha I can totally see you in that Maje dress. Pics please!

shopafrolic · 20/05/2015 22:03

Love that you found them lib :) makes wearing them even nicer

Love going out 'dressed by Vogue'

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 20/05/2015 22:30

Finally tried them on. Think the Maje edges it for tomorrow. Feels easy, comfortable, whereas the Paul & Joe is prob too big and gapes slightly up top - don't want to worry about that with client. Only thing is whether I keep it for summer anyway, or get smaller size. Expensive together but the colour is very pretty.

Glad you all liked the Maje, phew! Thanks

Feels strange going to work with a long dress in a dress bag thing. Need to think about how not to crumple it too much.

libertychick · 20/05/2015 22:31

I did have a good time Blair. DD loved playing with her cousins and she had a go at horse riding which was great. We saw all my brothers which doesn't always happen. And my sister is in great form. Just turned 17 and so sorted and happy and really mature. She and her friends are great. Way more together than I was at that age.

MarshaBrady · 20/05/2015 22:33

Sounds lovely Lib nice to have you back. Was wondering where you were.

We're going horse riding this weekend with a friend of ds from school. Ds2 had gone from I want to learn to Im not getting on a horse it's too high. Hopefully he'll get on when we go.

libertychick · 20/05/2015 22:44

Fingers crossed he enjoys it Marsha. It was unplanned with DD. She went with her cousins to watch them and once she saw them on horseback she begged to have a go. She looked so tiny on the horse but was great. Sat really well, no sliding off and didn't seem freaked out. She wants lessons now Smile

What shoes are you wearing with the Maje dress?

MarshaBrady · 21/05/2015 06:25

Me too, sometimes it's easier if he doesn't build it up in his mind too much before hand. If we can, we'll do lessons too.

I'm cheating with the shoes, helped by the length, and am wearing black Lanvin wedges. I'm not keen on heels on grass, too uncomfortable.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 21/05/2015 11:20

Hello all, finally some sunny weather. Today am in green Oasis top, hush harems and snake print pointy flats

Lots of questions to answer!

Sales wise I have put a couple of things in my outnet basket in preparation for the clearance. I never seem to be quick enough off the mark though. One is an IM jacket and the other Etre Cecile t-shirt.

I am also umming and ahhing over these shoes - think they might go into the sale though I would quite like to wear them now.

Summerwise I am liking the 'peasant' tops and jeans / chinos look. I am looking forward to getting all my sandals out. I am planning to do a capsule wardrobe for June - August, so don't really need any new summer clothes. The ones I have don't get worn much

I bought this little bag on a whim recently and find it adds a little something to my plain outfits.

The kick ass and sexy questions are really interesting. For me both are definitely when dressed more casually, I am the opposite to Shop in that I feel more 'me' in casual clothes. Maybe it is just lack of practise Smile as I rarely go out.

Marsha I love the Maje I think you will look really elegant. I seem to have missed the other dress you ordered.

Welcome back Lib that sounds cool about DD having a go at horse riding.

Oh, colours I feel best in are the blues really, navy or cobalt. I do love an all black outfit like Betty with a bit of leopard print thrown in too Grin

BTW I got the RI jeans Lib but I wasn't so keen - the black ones in any case are made of quite thin material. I have bought some asos thea jeans which I am pleased with - I bought from the tall range though as I didn't want them cropped. Quite like the look of these - sadly 'mom' jeans seem to suit me best, exactly the kind I can remember my own mum wearing in the 80s!

libertychick · 21/05/2015 11:30

Cute bag Bernice, I wonder if the jeans I linked were the right ones, mine are quite thick which is one of the reasons I liked them so much. My chubby legs tend to look like squashed sausages in thin denim Grin

Have fun today / tonight Marsha. Comfy shoes make it even better.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 21/05/2015 13:53

This blog post has inspired me to ask a question - do you have any shoes in your wardrobe that you have never worn? And if so, why?

I will come back later to answer!

AmberNectarine · 21/05/2015 14:17

I have a pair of Acne courts I have worn once which shredded my feet and now I'm frightened to wear them again.
