How did you land that one Blair? Amazing!

MarshaBrady · 18/05/2015 20:40

Brilliant Blair what a fabulous thing to do!

Yes grey but I'll probably wear the battered Marants as they have already been ruined by grass. I should wear flats or wedges but I don't have any. Ridiculous!

Drywhiteplease · 18/05/2015 20:45

Blair I'm Envy what a fab day.
Marsha I need to check out pin to see the dresses living vicariously

STOKEY!!!!!!! Please talk to the teacher. This is something so easily rectified, happens all the time about all sorts of things. In the mean time I love Elmer for these sort of situations, I'd also tell her that her glasses will make her really clever and whisper that they give her secret super powers, she'll be able to see things the other kids won't........I'm telling you this not in a professional capacity of course

Drywhiteplease · 18/05/2015 20:47

Oh and there's nothing like dancing round the kitchen to Top 80s hits and playing name the artist to really impress teenagers Grin followed by a superb rendition of "Chandelier", fab acoustics in my kitchen, Sia eat your heart out and I'm told Shes in her 40s too Shock

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 18/05/2015 22:07

Grin my friend's friend is one of the makeup artist trainers. She (my friend) gets to do this every few months and this is the first time she's invited me. I'm so chuffed!

shopafrolic · 18/05/2015 22:13

Enjoy Blair and please share any amazing product recommendations Smile

I will do, my face has never been near chanel makeup before! I'm really interested to see what the experience is like as I have had full face makeup done twice recently for the wedding - will be fun to compare.

Drywhiteplease · 18/05/2015 23:01

too big, going back

MyVegasBaby · 19/05/2015 08:01

Stokey definitely speak to the teacher. My DS had to start wearing glasses in reception and I was worried about how he would feel about it/be treated but luckily as his teacher at the time (who he adored) wore them he felt he was a bit special and like the teacher so all was well. Over the years more kids seem to have them and the main issue is the frequency of which they are broken or lost!
Blair have a great day, sounds fab!
Hopefully fitting in my Regent Street visit between meetings later. Will report back!

MarshaBrady · 19/05/2015 08:59

Morning. I have images of lovely looking people sauntering around in long dresses on my mind and the thought of what can I get away with - and still can't decide. But should order today, outnet only now really due to delivery times. Or asos but haven't found anything there.

Meant to say welcome to HappyGirlNow'

bettykt · 19/05/2015 09:34

Blair am very Envy about your day at Chanel, enjoy and do let us know what's in your goody bag.

MyVegasBaby that's so true about glasses a lot of children in infants wear them, a lot of my dcs friends wear them both boys and girls. Hope it all gets nipped in the bud with your dd Stokey Flowers

Marsha let us know which dress you go for. Are you sure you can't get away with the Lanvin? Does it have be floor length?

OOTD, skinnies, still a little chilly here but braved the toes and wore asos tan sandals, white linen shirt and coatigan.

Stokey · 19/05/2015 09:48

Thanks so much for all your lovely advice Flowers. Love the secret powers Dry! I'll definititely have a word with the teacher who also wears glasses and she adores. I think it's just made her feel a little self-conscious, everyone just wants to fit in at that age. And yes her last pair lasted three weeks MyVegas - thank god for the NHS. She has got very cute purple wire frames ones with a princess on the side, kids glasses have come a long way since I was a kid.

The orange J-Crew dress is gorgeous Marsha or the orange Halston Heritage one, I can definitely see you in something that colour.

I don't know if anyone is in the market for a bag at the moment but Monnier Freres is having a "secret" sale til 21 May. I love the furry cobalt Philip Lim clutch at the top but sadly have neither money to buy it nor opportunity to wear it!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 19/05/2015 12:02

Live update from a Chanel "model" as they keep calling us Grin Had 45 mins on "complexion" followed by 15 min statement lip. To be followed this afternoon by smokey eye! Such fun!

QueenCardigan · 19/05/2015 12:13

Sounds fab blair.
stokey and myvegas I feel your pain. Just had yet another trip to get little dd a new pair. Her current pair are sellotaped together!! Next time I go to the hospital they recommended that I ask for an extra nhs voucher so that I can have a spare pair. Big dd has 'lost' hers-not sure that I'm entirely convinced as she wanted a new pair and was gutted that her prescription hadn't changed. I'm such a cruel mum though that I'm making her pay towards them as that's the second pair she's lost.

No glamour from me. Im accesorised with dulux gloss paint!

MarshaBrady · 19/05/2015 14:51

Ok I have gone off-piste and ordered this Paul & Joe silk maxi. It's on premium evening delivery so here tonight, if bad there's still time to order more tomorrow.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 19/05/2015 15:01

That is lovely Marsha, can see it dressed or down so hopefully you'll get lots of wear out of it.

MarshaBrady · 19/05/2015 15:15

Thanks Blair that's good to hear as it would be great to wear in summer dressed down.

Have you finished Chanel? Freebies? Sounds like such a lovely day.

QueenCardigan · 19/05/2015 16:01

That's gorgeous marsha. Can see you in that. Sorry, I haven't been around much so had no time to do a dress hunt which normally I would love to do. Too busy decorating!

Drywhiteplease · 19/05/2015 17:03

Yup, agree, it looks perfect Marsha. Look forward to hearing what it's like when it arrives.

shopafrolic · 19/05/2015 17:04

You'll look good in that Marsha - and will wear again - win win
Love to Linus

I'm home now, after the most fun day. Loved it and can't wait to hopefully be invited again!
Goody bag contained:
2 nail varnishes (rouge noir and a bright red)
Mascara
Eyeliner
Lipstick
Lipgloss
Blusher (the shade I had put on me today)
Makeup remover
Coco mademoiselle purse spray and refills (I'd just run out!)
Very very happy :) (but my sister won't be, because I think everything is in colours I will wear!)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 19/05/2015 17:19

Ooh shop can see you (and novice and Amber) in those, very sexy!

AmberNectarine · 19/05/2015 17:27

Those shoes are amazing. Speaking of Valentino, what do you all think of these - The good people at NaP have sent me a sale preview invite and I am considering. Not very practical though?

shopafrolic · 19/05/2015 17:55

For whatever reason Amber I cannot understand spending £100s on espadrilles (my only exception for some reason being the Chanel ones). They will get trashed just as quickly as a £10 pair from New Look I fear.......
Wardrobe Icons did a feature on espadrilles today - the ones they used to promote the feature were mentioned nowhere in the magazine - tied at the ankle..... very lovely.
