I like those tops dry but I'll have to check if BR/Gap still charge extortionate p&p before I order anything from them.

Rubbish weather here today but tomorrow should be better. Fingers crossed!

That is a great belt blair! I used to have something similar in black year ago but not sure of I still have it.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/05/2015 17:41

So, I think the J crew order might be going back.
The blazer was too long for me and didn't hang right, despite being described as having a "shrunken silhouette". The Tippi felt too baggy on the midsection, and when I laid it out with my old one, it was an inch bigger on the body!

Does anyone ( novice?? Smile) have any suggestions of where to get very fitted blazers/suit jackets that fit boobs and waist at the same time while being buttoned up? I'm not massively well endowed, but I'm 36" chest and 28" waist. So don't want any of this boxy/"boyfriend" fit.

shopafrolic · 15/05/2015 17:56

Help. Am at wedding tomorrow. Wearing Karen Millen dress and Dune Cristina shoes. Should I wear red lipstick and clutch bag, or fuchsia pink?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/05/2015 18:47

I think pink, red maybe more evening-out-y?

mazj4cks · 15/05/2015 19:09

I think pink too. Smile

Drywhiteplease · 15/05/2015 19:28

I do love you with red though........fab outfit Shop

Fedup had one wisdom out last year, the others are rumbling. Annoyingly I messed up and missed my dentist appointment Sad

QueenCardigan · 15/05/2015 20:10

Pink.

BrandyAlexander · 15/05/2015 20:26

Shop what does the clutch bag look like?

OneLittleLady · 15/05/2015 20:35

another vote for pink for you Shop

while I was out this afternoon after my appointment, a gentleman a far bit older than me started talking to me while I was sat having my coffee. He seemed very nice and i was very embarrassed and taken aback when he complimented me by saying that he thought i was 'refreshingly well educated and clearly in possession of great intelligence' it was a lovely compliment but I was very surprised as I don't think of myself that way, in truth i just think im nothing much special so I was definitely a bit embarrassed, i guess not so much by what he actually said but more about being complimented in general. it was nice though to have a compliment that was about something other than what I was wearing or something, I don't get many like that or many compliments in general tbh. DP isn't much of a real compliment giver as he says he doesn't know how to word things and worries that he'll get it wrong soemhow

shopafrolic · 15/05/2015 21:14

Too many "fabs" sorry.
We will need pictures Shop

Fedupnagging · 15/05/2015 22:14

Definitely the pink clutch Shop. Fab colour.

One lovely compliment.

Dry toothache is the pits so,have some Wine to help dull the pain.

This is my uniqlo order
Silk blouse - love it
Stripy dress - will wear loads when the weather improves
Another striped dress perfect for holiday. And the same as Shop Blush

libertychick · 15/05/2015 23:11

Yes pink Shop

What a great compliment One. I am rubbish with compliments too - I have learned to just smile and say 'thank you' Smile

Off to Ireland for 5 days tomorrow, weather looks horrible which means (a) having to wear my waterproof parka instead of Santa's lovely trench and (b) DH will moan non bloody stop - oh well at least being in Ireland means no one will bat an eyelid if I Wine my way through it Grin

And I broke my shopping ban today - not feeling bad, it was a considered purchase. I am a bit fat ATM and my jeans are all either (a) tight or (b) seriously battered looking. I decided a week or two ago that if I came across some decent high street ones I would get a new pair. Ladies, I present the River Island Jenna jeans. Obviously I still have to properly road test and wash them etc but first impressions they kick the ass of all other jeans I have or have tried including my beloved Paige. High waist, bottom properly covered (these could cope with the 'on the floor at toddler group' test), skim rather than hug my chubby knees, v, v flattering and good proper thick denim that feels comfy but holding me in at the same time. So good I bought them in black too. Have thrown out 2 pairs of jeans immediately as the whole point of my shopping ban was to minimize the wardrobe.

Dry I do love that top but jeans aside I am sticking with the ban until my birthday in July.

Great Uniqlo haul Fedup. I notice lots of people are selecting Uniqlo as their go to shop on the 'only one shop' thread.

OneLittleLady · 16/05/2015 00:10

those jeans look good lib I might try a pair. I always find it hard to find jeans that are high enough in the rise, I can't wear low rise at all, they sit oddly on me and turn a muffin top into a full shelf at the bakery. I don't know if I have a long body, short body or what but its always the rise that makes me return jeans. High/ish waisted or nothing. if they don't at least come to my belly button, they won't look right

BrandyAlexander · 16/05/2015 07:40

Morning! Yes definitely pink for the wedding Shop Love both bags. Have a great time! We had no weddings last year and 4 this year, very excited! And 2 are even child freeGrin

I am going on holiday next Saturday which has suddenly dawned on me (eek!) so will be doing packing and holiday shopping. Hope Linus isn't around as she might get cross. whispers I just bought a couple of kaftans. Will link later.

Safe journey to Ireland Lib, they look like great jeans.

Just seen the Geri Halliewell wedding pics. Freaky because I almost asked Philippa Lepley to make my dress, which would have been very similar to Geri's. I agonised between that design and the one I actually went with.

Karbea · 16/05/2015 07:52

novice I thought Geri looked absolutely beautiful, I hope they'll be very happy together.

shopafrolic · 16/05/2015 08:39

Morning. Pink it is. Child free wedding for us today Novice at a fabulous hotel. Cannot wait Smile

lib have fun in Ireland.

one what a great compliment, you must have really impressed that gentleman.

No OOTD yet as I am just about to jump in the shower.

QueenCardigan · 16/05/2015 09:03

I agree, Geri looked fab. Almost like kate Middleton.
Those jeans look fab lib. What's the sizing like? I've often read good things about RI on s&b but out store only stocks skinny.
Have a lovely day shop. School fair for me today but a party later.

BrandyAlexander · 16/05/2015 09:04

Ooh fab Shop, Whatsapp me a pic when you're all togged up.Grin Oh and use the child free time to get rampant with Mr Shop. I am not talking to dh so I am Envy

Linus Grin

I agree with everyone OneSmile

BrandyAlexander · 16/05/2015 09:17

I meant to say Karbea, I agree I thought Geri looked lovely. I despair of mumsnet at times. I have just flicked over two threads, one with lots of vicious comments about Liz Hurley and the other on Geri's wedding.Hmm oh not to mention the one on how Kate Middleton looked when she left hospital.Hmm I am size 6, so according to one of those threads I must have had surgery, don't eat, do drugs blah blah. I considered the same dress as Geri with cathedral veil, so despite getting married many years earlier I am a KM wannabe. Cos you know those dresses didn't exist before then.Wink

Actually my PA Whatsapped me a selfie of her with baby 5 hours after giving birth. Hair blow dried, full make up and a lovely dress. I told her she looked terrific. It didn't occur to me to bitch about her!Shock

QueenCardigan · 16/05/2015 09:24

Just to clarify novice, I don't think geri is a km wannabe but my first thought when I saw her was, she looks like kate. It was the darker hsir and demure look. Not what we usually see from geri!

Just watched a video with laura fantacci speaking. Totally not what I expected. I've often forgiven her writing as she is Italian but now I think it is just lazy proof reading as she sounds completely utterly British!

Also just seen the cover for tomorrow's ST mag. The fre fall issue. We haven't even worn our summer clothes yet Confused

QueenCardigan · 16/05/2015 09:24

Pre fall that should say!
