Love that scarf!!! Shop how have you not been wearing it?!Shock

i have been running round like a loon today. This is my 2 mins break!

shopafrolic · 09/05/2015 17:03

I tried it Novice but like Blair says it's too draped for me and I can't get on with the fringing...... Colour is perfect though. I either need skinny scarves or oversized blanket ones in thicker fabrics.......

Hope not Blair DH and I have been married 7 years next year - I don't want to be replaced! Grin

that's a fab scarf Shop i love the size and the colour

really not feeling myself today.feel very overwhelmed with a lot of things and being physically ill is not helping matters. i really ought to be doing work this evening but i think for my own sake, i need to just try and relax and chillout rather than try to do anything that requires any sort of thought or concentration. I know that might sound lazy but i just think i need to have a quiet night doing nothing at all really

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/05/2015 18:11

Lol shop I'm sure you could never be replaced Grin

One yes, sounds like you need a relaxing night with a good book or film to distract yourself.

Does anyone know anything about travelling in South East Asia? Is October a terrible time to visit any of the island/beachy areas (malaysia, thailand, bali, philippines etc), weather-wise? Yes, honeymoon planning is underway!

Just ordered a charcoal Tippi and this navy blazer with 20% off, thanks again Bernice!

shopafrolic · 09/05/2015 18:14

Just text QueenC and she's having the pashmina - hope that's ok to send on to another Voguette Linus? x

Evening!

I had such a fun afternoon shopping with a couple of friends! One of them was looking for a new bag and they needed my 'expertise' on the subject. Wink

It's great shopping for someone else as you get the rush of shopping but without spending any money. My consultancy fee was a glass of champagne Grin

shop Please do send the scarf to queenc! I actually seem to remember she wanted to buy that one as well ages ago but they were always OOS and I only got that one by accident as one came back in stock.

bernice you enabler! I just ordered two Tippis! One in a kind of teal colour and one in a pale blue but I wore mine so much last winter that it was hard to resist. Wink

one please take it easy!

MarshaBrady · 09/05/2015 19:52

I'm out and someone looks great in a green shift dress, just realised it's an acne one, might have to check it out online later.

Shop went to the p.o, your small jar is on it's way.

MarshaBrady · 09/05/2015 19:55

shopafrolic · 09/05/2015 19:57

Tipping wearers ...... How's the sizing? Read they run big? I'm small on top 8/10, s or Xs ?

Drywhiteplease · 09/05/2015 20:14

And are they really dry clean only?

Drywhiteplease · 09/05/2015 20:23

this could be the red flat I've been searching for

shopafrolic · 09/05/2015 20:46

Nice Dry. Very you x

Lovely shoes Dry - the leather looks really soft. Oh and I'm fine thanks for asking. Although I drank lots of vino, I did drink water too so headache had gone by midday.

One hope you're relaxing tonight and feel a bit better tomorrow.

Blair how exciting planning your honeymoon.

Sounds like you had a lovely day today Linus

Am off to look at tippi's although if they are dry clean only, I may give them a miss given my clothes shrinking habit.

justasecond · 09/05/2015 21:33

ooh love those shoes Dry they look best in red too.
One hope you get some rest this evening.
Marsha have a good night.
blair great blazer.
Fedup I really like that Fossil bucket bag
Tempted to try the Tippi but I think they will be too short in the body for me.

Feeling stuffed today went shopping with DM then a late lunch. Ate so much I didn't feel like anything for dinner. Bought dd trainers and some lovely Bloch flats in tkmaxx perfect for her narrow feet. Bit annoyed as had to get dd2 new school shoes as her start rite ones wore really badly even though they still fit. DD1 had clarks which still look new.

I have been doing the double cleanse and Alpha toner in the eves for the last few weeks and have really seen a big difference. Skin is a million times better, no spots at all even at that time of the month and I have to hardly use any foundation which is a big change for me. Has anyone else used the Alpha stuff?

LinusDKD · 09/05/2015 21:53

dry I am a S in Tippis even though I am an XS in other J Crew tops and tees.

I do like to wear some kind of vest or even a shirt underneath so an S is perfect.

I wash my Tippis on a cold wool cycle with special Delicates detergent (Ecover but I don't know if you can get that in the UK) and they come out fine. I do dry them flat and re-shape them immediately after washing.

I didn't know Longchamp did shoes! Those look perfect for you!

justa I have used Liquid Gold on and of for a while and whilst it does make my skin softer and less bumpy I don't see a massive improvement.

I do like double cleansing and I have just bought some LRP retinol cream so I hope that will help.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/05/2015 22:00

Dry I'm a 10 (30F) and I wear S, they are fairly fitted, and as justa says they are short in the body (unlike say Uniqlo). So it depends if you want fitted or a bit loose.

I think I have only handwashed mine, not in the machine, but never bothered to dry clean!

justa you've reminded me about the liquid gold - shop are you still interested in buying mine? I've hardly used any out of the bottle. Sorry it's taken me so long to remember about it!

About to sit down to watch the first episode of HoC on new TV :)

Fedupnagging · 09/05/2015 22:12

No not used the alpha stuff Justa - any chance of a link?

I do feel my skin care needs a boost/change so have been working my way through the Amazing skin thread today - it's really interesting but so much information and sooooo many products on the market!

Blair I loved HOC so enjoy. We are having a Breaking Bad marathon tonight.

Drywhiteplease · 09/05/2015 22:30

I didn't know Longchamp did shoes either but saw these in a mag at the hairdressers today which set me off.................

justasecond · 09/05/2015 22:33

Its this one Fedup www.lookfantastic.com/alpha-h-liquid-gold-100ml/10243506.html
I read a few pages of the Caroline Hirons thread and yes it was a bit confusing but what I took from it is the double cleaning bit for which I use the Superdrug vitamin E cleanser followed by Liz Earle cleanse and polish and Alpha H 2-3 times a week. On nights I don't use the Alpha H I use a serum after the double cleanse. Maybe I was doing it all wrong before which is why I have noticed such a big difference Blush

muddlingalongquitenicely · 09/05/2015 22:46

Just finished watching the VE concert, and now catching up on thread.
Ended up going to Highcross in Leicester today and felt quite disappointed with the shops came away with a bottle of cherry blossom perfume from L'Occtaine.

Cranagh · 09/05/2015 23:30

Hi all.

Dh has been working all weekend so far too, Shop, ended up taking the DC out to dinner on my own. So had a big glass of wine!

Have fun tonight, QueenC!

Fab blazer, Blair.

Love those shoes, Dry.

I cold machine wash my Tippi and it comes out fine (merino wool, I shrank the cashmere version doing this). They are too short for me really unfortunately. Might try Uniqlo next winter instead.

MBMJ Natasha arrived, the colour is too autumnal for me so returning. I have these sandals on the way, paid for by ebaying so result. And no other shopping this week except for the kids so doesn't count quite parsimonious.

Cranagh · 09/05/2015 23:31

Hope your job is safe, Liberty.

Cranagh · 09/05/2015 23:32

Oh and loved your friend on FB's suggestion to buy one red and one black shoe, Shop!
