Morning all!
I've just eaten a take out Carluccios vanilla cup cake and am sat at my laptop with a steaming mug of tea. Easy morning today. I've been doing loads of stuff for this local community thing I mentioned and because I get lots done efficiently I am starting to get lumbered so this morning I pushed back and said no - felt good
Headed to St Albans on a quest for the TopShop ghillie flats a la Amber (saw her wearing hers in the Dressing Room pics on FB).
But the TS locally is rubbish and they didn't have them. So I headed for Office and was faced with this decision.......

I chose the red. I was sat in the shop with one on each foot - and I text pics to an assortment of Voguettes for a reply (forgetting they all bloody work!) - and at that moment one of my mummy friends from school came into the shop and said "buy the red" - so I did. Luckily most Voguettes came back on text saying red too might go back for the black in June
Tory stronghold in my neck of the woods too but I won't start trying to talk politics as I'm not too good at it (I did vote BTW)
In other news.....my iPhone tells me it's going to be 24 degrees on Monday and 25 on Tuesday in London

I tried these ones on too - super soft and v comfy but I really wanted red and something a bit lighter. Incidentally if anyone is considering any of these I had to size up.
And Dry these are sky high but fab (WIT has them in red)

Im off to the hair dresses today. I'm thinking of going lighter not what an autumn is supposed to do I wore orange yesterday, my mum said not to buy anything else in that colour as it doesn't suit me at all I really need to double check the colour against my swatches.
Ootd frame blue skinnies, kooples animal print blouse, probably dior nude courts and MK leather tan jacket.

shop I would have gome for the black but only because I am very fussy about my reds.

My M&S five pocket jeggings arrived and they are fab. Shame they don't do them in more colours I like as I can see them becoming my favourite skinnies. Depends on how they wash though.

I bought this Breton (or for the B Word haters, the French call them a 'marinière') today and whilst the shape is quite boxy, I just love the combo of white and brigt blue. It's so hard to find these tees in anything but ecru/off-white.

Coming from a country where voting is obligatory and where you have more than 2 main parties (so coalitions are a matter of fact) it's fascinating to see how British politics work.

Bloody hell - didn't realise they're all resigning......

It would be very interesting if voting in Britain was obligatory! Turnout was 66.1% , that seems pretty bad.

still feeling pretty rough but hopefully the anti biotics will kick in soon. I also have a low grade skin infection IN MY NOSTRIL of all places so thats adding to me feeling grim.

OOTD is all black as I mourn and weep for the country. I won't bore you with who I voted for or why but it wasn't the tories and I am also weeping for the low voting turn out. 66% is nothing, if more people had voted, things could have been very different. Nothing will change and no one will listen if people don't make their voices heard

Totally agree one I am in toryland here too but I always vote. I don't get why people don't bother.
Love both those colours shop I wouldn't be able to decide between them either. I sent back my boden ones I just felt a bit meh about them. I like the look of the ts snakeskin ones but I see the lining is pigskin which I cannot wear.
Cold today so boring outfit of TS lucas bf jeans, grey jumper and khaki parka when I go out. Wish I could wear socks and boots today my feet are freezing but I would have to change trousers.

Vote turnout was appalling but so is the first past the post system. Sadly electoral reform is not in the interest of a Conservative government.

To be fair, if we had proportional representation we'd now have 80 odd UKIP MPs, scary thought!

i'm currently at the start of breaking in my new dr martens. they are pretty stiff and tight so it looks like this might take a while. just wearing them for half an hour at a time then taking them off for a bit then putting them back on at the minute. it pays to take it easy with them at first, ive made the mistake of not breaking them in properly before and it was a very big mistake as my two months in flip flops through the winter will testify!

Tomorrow night we have a charity black tie event to go to so I'll be wearing a black dress I wore to presidents club in Monte Carlo with my wedding shoes which are all over glitter Ted baker pointed court shoes. Couldn't be bothered to buy anything new and I've only worn both items once before!

These shoes! Very 'woah' but i love them!

I've got an evening of freedom tomorrow night. Was meant to be taking dc to my friends as dh was going to be away but now I'm going alone. A nights break from them will be great!

I know it's poly but I adore the colour and the style is very me.
Wearing again today with stone 3/4 trousers and R and B nude a ballet pumps. Dh said it looked really lovely, he never comments, must be good
