Glad you got it sorted superwoman novice Grin

Lib I think you've hit the nail on the head! I'm exactly the same with earrings, feel naked without studs now. NoviceDM would approve. Anyway, what you wrote really struck a chord with me, you've clearly given it lots of thought. I did the writing down outfits thing last year for about 6 months and that really helped (and hindsight from the style class helped even more). I was adamant in telling my consultant that I don't do scarves, but I think it's because casual scarves aren't RC and I feel like silk ones are too mature for me. Maybe I need to try again!

shop just for you, I did a hanger count. I have 97 hangers in my wardrobe, 44 were back to front (had been worn since Jan 1st). I'll keep going for a bit though, as lots of summer tops are unworn.

When I had my colours done I also did that thing where you put clothes in your colours on one side and bad colours on the other. Anyone else done that? I'd say my bad colours are down to about 1/5 of the wardrobe now.

Dry agree wooden hangers are rubbish, slim non-slip ones are the way forward!

Have cleared out another half a bin bag full of things, just the drawers left to properly sort through now. I told a lie when I said I only had three drawers full of tees and vests, it's actually four Blush I have a tee or vest for everyday of about six months roughly, as in a clean one every day Blush I look after them so well though and always buy decent fabric tees and vests (cotton usually) that they last forever and I take great care of the ones with printed designs on them, never ironing over them and things so they all last for ages and ages. It's funny looking through them and noticing which I wore at certain points in my life, eg: the bright pink tee with penguins on I wore when I did my first race for life after mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She was so proud of me for it. She made such a fuss of me when I got home, kissing my face and holding my hands. I remember that afternoon, getting in the bath and feeling like my legs were going to drop off and then getting dry and sitting in my big fluffy dressing gown reading to Mum, adjusting her headscarf that i'd tied for her when it slipped over her eyes. I still have my medal for that day, it's tied around the care bears neck, the care bear I've had since childhood.

Evening!

I am edging to actually buying something. I have £100 off £300 spend at Matches and need a dress for the weekend. A dinner, not formal, but more relaxed and comfortable. But I really need something new.

And I can't find anything on there!

MarshaBrady · 05/05/2015 20:12

Damn ! need to cut down again. Over quota.

shopafrolic · 05/05/2015 20:12

Well done on the clear out One - hard to do with so many memories attached.
Blair interesting. Would love to hear how you come out at the end of the summer.
I have a mix of wooden and felted hangers. Sweaters, leather trousers and jackets on wood. Felt for tees, silk shirts and going out tops.

I need flats and a dress. But can't find ones I like.

Great HONY pics.

SJP really?! Even she looks unsure with the headdress.

Cara D not keen at all.

No at Sienna and Miley Cyrus

Really like Shu Pei Qin, not that I know who she is.

Kendall J looks good

Don't mind Cher

Solange Knowles madness

Alexa Chung, looks very pretty, dress is ok considering the rest

Anna Ewers very pretty

What a collection of dresses.

MarshaBrady · 05/05/2015 20:22

I know Shop I'm struggling to find something dammit, thanks for looking Thanks

MarshaBrady · 05/05/2015 20:25

I'm reaching here not for me?

Ages since I've linked and asked that

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/05/2015 20:31

I didn't get a Matches code, probably for the best. It is hard to find anything on there without spending a lot more than £300!

Marsha I like the dress, but I think a black daytime dress would be wasted on you, I always picture you in light and bright colours.

shop those are very specific rules, I like it! Admittedly all my skirt/trouser hangers (with the clips) are wooden Ikea. They do take up more room but there's no other way to hang things without those silly ribbons in.

One that is very bittersweet. Flowers I think everyone has a few t-shirts that are sentimental, even if it's just souvenir ones from a show or gig.

MarshaBrady · 05/05/2015 20:33

One that is a lovely bittersweet memory,

Blair thanks, yes you're right. So hard!

LinusDKD · 05/05/2015 20:36

How about this marsha?

Very versatile.

shopafrolic · 05/05/2015 20:36

Marsha meh. That's an if all else fails. Too safe for you. am worried I'm losing my MB-radar though. Just checked the Outnet and nothing is leaping out at me for you. Shock
Need a tighter brief. Lunch or dinner? home or restaurant? East or West London? Classic or cocktails?

OP posts:
LinusDKD · 05/05/2015 20:39

Or this?

MarshaBrady · 05/05/2015 20:40

Central west London, dinner party for 10 people, I haven't met anyone bar my friends, ie the hosts (or maybe I have met a few before but not sure). Need to feel comfortable and breezy so no body con and I have nothing in my wardrobe.

Would like to wear something that looks good with heels, but I don't feel OTT.

Don't worry I checked the outnet too and nada!

LinusDKD · 05/05/2015 20:41

too girly maybe?

I love it though!

QueenCardigan · 05/05/2015 20:41

Hmm, agree with blair I think about black for you marsha. Also it looks like it could be quite short?
one lovely memory
blair I could never do the coat hanger thing as I'm a bit anal and like all my coat hangers the right way.

When's summer coming back? I wore a heatech today as I didn't wear a cardigan. It's may ffs.

MarshaBrady · 05/05/2015 20:42

Oh I like the Equipment one Linus looks good. Stars for me?

MarshaBrady · 05/05/2015 20:42
