Love these flower

QueenCardigan · 03/05/2015 22:03

linus I love those shoes and yes, they've been linked before. They're more almond than pointy I'd say? Get them!

Drywhiteplease · 03/05/2015 22:19

I love my animal print ones too!

Novice Grin

Cranagh · 03/05/2015 23:55

silver sandals Also love Valia Gabriel sandals, NAP have a small range.

MarshaBrady · 04/05/2015 10:37

Novice I got half way through joining and hailed as I joined as Marsha - I love consistency - then got cold feet when it asked if it found access all my contacts. As Marsha would be strange for most. Now I'm not sure how to access your message! Will try again.

Shop need to check what was in bag, will look when home.

I'm out for a long lunch, so nice, wearing my Topshop unique skirt for first time. I love it. Wearing with a Rag&Bone navy t or the Equipment cobalt cashmere if chilly. A different vibe for me but a nice change from skinnies. Ds1 said he like my outfit so I'll take that.

BrandyAlexander · 04/05/2015 10:45

Morning!

Marsha I have you tagged in my phone under your really name. I think you show on people's phones as they have you in their directory which is why you turned up when I was actually scrolling looking for another person with your name. Quick read to check I haven't told everyone your name is Princess CharlotteWink

Outfit sounds good, compliments from the dcs are always the best!

I am still lounging about in pink dressing gown and pink pjsGrin.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 04/05/2015 11:36

Hi all and happy bank holiday.

Stokey I like the high waist skinnies and legging jeans from Gap - anything with a high waist is a winner for me. Shame your jeans stretched a bit, I have found that to be an issue with Gap jeans previously.

Welcome Vegas. I like these silver sandals from Next but they are a bit more fugly than Cranagh's!

Love those Massimo Dutti's Linus - are you (and QueenC) not tempted?

Love those Nicholas Kirkwood you linked for me QueenC

OneLittleLady · 04/05/2015 11:57

hi all,

it's final, i have taken two bin bags of clothes from my hanging rail and wardrobe and they are NOT going back on or in them, that's that. I'm a swine for taking things back out of charity/sister bags and im not doing it this time. Gone is the bulk of the polester/nasty fabrics, eft is nice things, natural fibres, nice fabrics, silk, cotton, cashmere merino etc. I will be strong and not pull anything out of the bags!

mazj4cks · 04/05/2015 13:51

Hi All, child free day today so dh and I went to cambs for a shop and spot of lunch! Managed to get a pair of jeans, striped shirt and jumper from GAP and a short sleeved shirt from Zara!! But NO ESPADRILLES!! Angry should have just ordered some online to try!
But slowly starting to get a daywear collection going!

Weigh in this morning was 11, 8.5! So that's another 4.5lbs off. Although after lunch today...prob more like 2! Blush

mazj4cks · 04/05/2015 14:48

Sorry 3.5lbs down not 4.5!! Slightly optimistic! Grin

OneLittleLady · 04/05/2015 15:39

two large carrier bags gone, given to other sister who in truth really needed some new to her clothes. she never buys herself anything, only ever buys for the children. other sister can pick through the rest if she wants to

Drywhiteplease · 04/05/2015 17:46

Well done Maz that's amazing.

I have 14 16yr olds in my garden having a BBQ one brought salad Shock......trying to be cool but had to speak to the girls about what they're wearing for the prom, they all got their phones out to show me pics. 16yr old girls are very sophisticated and tasteful round here it seems, some lovely dresses...

shopafrolic · 04/05/2015 19:23

Well done Maz - any shopping links?
Stressy day today. Tried to go for a nice pub lunch but waited to hours for food and finally got a refund and left. Shame as was lovely sunny day, nice to be outside but not with a starving DS!
No fashion news other than I've sold my YSL arty ring to the lovely (and super beautiful) Blondambition - pleased it found a good home. Need to find my perfect statement ring now.....

Evening!

maz well done! Very impressive weight loss!

bernice I do love the colour of those Massimo Dutti shoes but they're still a bit too pointy for me.

one did you find any hidden gems during your clearout?

I finally bit the bullet and bought the navy Stella McCartnet blazer I have been lusting after for ages.

I need to play around a bit with it and see what I can wear with it but I think I'll mainly wear it with dressed down with jeans and a tee.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/05/2015 19:30

shop I would love to find a perfect statement ring too! That is rubbish about the pub.

Been away to ILs for a total blowout weekend - barbecue with excessive alcohol, Sunday pub roast, Chinese last night, breakfast out this morning. I feel a bit disgusting!

Nothing to report shopping wise, but I've been thinking about my personal style a lot the last few days and am so stuck. I'm really struggling with linking the Classic parts of my SP with the Romantic side. Lib do you think that we are essentially Classic but we should lean to the feminine side of things (curved lapels, waist cinching, ruching) rather than masculine (angular, straight, etc)?

maz well done on the recent weight loss!

There have been some odd threads on S&B lately haven't there? I dip in and out but always feel relieved to return to MNV Grin

Hope everyone's had a lovely BH weekend.

OneLittleLady · 04/05/2015 19:36

linus I found a couple of square , silk DKNY scarves, a cobalt blue BIBA dress I'd forgotten about that still has tags on it, a black cashmere cardigan I don't recall seeing for ages and a grey and black, DKNY again, jersey dress I haven't seen or worn in a long time

mazj4cks · 04/05/2015 19:52

Items today I bought were:-

this jumper I wanted a chunky jumper that I could throw on in the chilly evenings when we go Cornwall!

jeans tried quite a few pairs on and these fitted and looked the nicest, I have quite a few high waisted jeans so want a low rise pair.

this Zara shirt which I now also want in white.

a shirt this style but it's pink and white (prob 1.5cm thick) striped..dh said it reminds him of a deck chair! Grin

It's all quite plain but I have a lot of bright/patterned things and needed more 'staple' items.

I did see ALOT of lovely things out and about today but had to remind myself I was out shopping for casual daywear! Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/05/2015 19:55

Ok novice I've gone back and read your epic dresses post properly and looked at all the links - thank you so much! Have pinned all the ones still available in my size to a secret board for later (except black, I don't do black since HoC Wink)
At the moment all my work dresses are the ruched jersey type, 2 from Me&Em, 2 from baukjen, so the smarter type are what I'm after. I love the first coral Armani one and the DVF ones, very excited for sales now.

Wow One - how big is your wardrobe?? In fact, question for everyone!
I have one fitted wardrobe in the bedroom about 3-4 feet wide and another the same size in the spare room, and 1 chest of drawers. Sometimes I feel like it's not much!

OneLittleLady · 04/05/2015 20:08

blair I have two door wardrobe with two drawers at the bottom, one standard size hanging rail and three chests of drawers with four drawers in each. I know its really a lot Blush

mazj4cks · 04/05/2015 20:29

I have basically 1 standard rail full (in a 2doored wardrobe) and 2 drawers! I have hardly any room for the little amount of clothes I have!! As that's room for all my pjs and loungewear too.Confused

QueenCardigan · 04/05/2015 20:35

Evening all. I have a half size one for my tops/cardis which also has shelves for jumpers/tees and underwear. I share a full length one with dh for my dresses/ trousers and then I have another half size full length one with shelves for each of jeans, summer/winter stuff that's put away, sports wear and slumming around the house clothes (sweats/fleeces etc). I then have another cupboard for shoes/bags.

I've bought too much lately I've decided as I now have too much choice and so I'm slipping into keeping things for best. I've always liked to have seperate things for going out which is fine but then because I have so much other stuff I've realised I'm not wearing it all. I guess it doesn't help as suddenly it's become winter again after being summer like. I've realised too much stuff stresses me and I'm better with fewer things.

blair I agree with the weird threads!

Karbea · 04/05/2015 20:37

I've two built in double wardrobes in the spare room and a double in our room, I've 11 drawers I think...

shopafrolic · 04/05/2015 20:41

I have one two door, two drawer wardrobe and a 5 drawer chest of drawers in my room, and then use half a hanging rail and one shelf in DS' room.

OP posts:
bettykt · 04/05/2015 20:42

I only have 1 wardrobe with some shelves in in and 1 chest of drawers. Perversely I quite like having one wardrobe as I know when I have too much stuff. It's getting a bit full and after reading about One's clear out I think I'm due one myself.

I'm liking the Waitrose thread atm, made my mouth water.

Great haul Mazjacks

bettykt · 04/05/2015 20:48

Oh and Marsha I like this colour Zarita with the leopard clutch sadly I don't think that's my 'colour' would have to try it. Although navy looks very classy a la Blair
