Inspired by the Lipstick Queen are crap thread, I've got things I need to get off my chest (so to speak).

Nude lipstick, can't bear it. Hate, hate the 'foundation coloured lips' look.

There are others but that is my most loathed thing at the moment.

Do other people have things that the whole world seems to love but them?

Sperm eyebrows
perfect description!
I work in a school and many of the girls have them - at 15! Shock
A friend who was foing for a job interview asked me ( the most unwaterfally person in the universe) if I thought a waterfall cardigan would make her look smart.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

polyhymnia · 28/04/2015 18:16

As someone with v big bust can't see how waterfall cardigans could ever suit me and it as a PP claimed. Guess we're all shaped differently though.

Nabootique · 28/04/2015 18:53

Ooh. Thought of another one. People who think black goes with everything. One example I can think of is a boss I once had who had a beautiful, delicate skirt in different shades of pale to mid pink but teamed it with black boots and a black jumper.

GiantGaspingSatanicCyst · 28/04/2015 19:10

Nabootique today I wore a pink and white striped long sleeved top with a black skirt and black boots Grin It works on me.

Other dislikes of mine:

pool slides - the name and the thing
peep toe boots
cold shoulder tops

Lids on hand creams, moisturisers, body lotions and tooth paste tubes that are NOT FLIP TOP.
It's not rocket science to see how much more practical flip top lids are.
Rant over.

hollyisalovelyname · 28/04/2015 19:37

HD briws. They are not one size suits all.
Check your colouring ffs

hollyisalovelyname · 28/04/2015 19:38

And I should check my spelling. Oops

Madbengalmum · 28/04/2015 19:38

HD brows, eughh, they look awful on most people!

Tanaqui · 29/04/2015 07:56

I love Birkenstocks, white jeans, and knee high boots!

But I hate peplums, animal print and ballet flats, so I am with half of you!

Germgirl · 29/04/2015 11:26

Regarding brows. What is the best way to get a bit of colour & definition?
My brows are pale & very sparse with hardly any 'tail' I have them threaded sometimes & they always offer to tint them but I'm scared they'll look daft.
I had thought about HD brows but again I don't want to look like I have black caterpillars on my face.
I draw them on with various pencils & gels and do a pretty good job but it's not a long lasting solution & can be a bit hit & miss.

avocadotoast · 29/04/2015 11:30

Germgirl I used Benefit Browzings and I really like it. I use the lightest one and it does have a bit of a reddish tint though so if your brows are super pale it might not suit.

I've heard good things about the Sleek brow palettes though - although I'm not sure how light they go.

Germgirl · 29/04/2015 11:35

Thanks. Browzings is one of my many brow products :) I just wondered if there was anything more 'permanent' I suppose semi-permanent make up is the way to go.
I have big plans for myself in a few months years time. Once I've lost weight :)

ShakeyPushDown · 29/04/2015 12:19

Tights worn as leggings, especially with a thong underneath, and a jumper that doesn't cover their arse. Have they SEEN themselves from the back?

"Instagram" eyebrows - yuck.

Also hate short with the pockets hanging down below the leg. Erk!

ihatelego · 29/04/2015 12:31

this threads giving me a lot of anxiety haha Confused

Devora · 29/04/2015 12:37

Long toenails.

Devora · 29/04/2015 12:44

Herbybear26 · 29/04/2015 12:49

Uggs! I hate Uggs! Especially when people wear them with shorts!

If it's warm enough for shorts you don't need fleecy boots! Pffft

itsbetterthanabox · 29/04/2015 12:52

Devora that's not just a french pedicure that's acrylic french tip extensions on toes. Agreed it's ugly and terrible for your toes!
A french pedicure like this is nice though. www.google.co.uk/search?q=french+pedicure&rlz=1CDGOYI_enGB590GB590&oq=french+pedicure&aqs=chrome..69i57&sourceid=chrome-mobile&espvd=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en-GB#imgrc=Z_U_IdDzgakIjM%3A;undefined;http%3A%2F%2Fimages.wisegeek.com%2Ffrench-pedicure.jpg;http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wisegeek.com%2Fwhat-is-a-french-pedicure.htm;1000;631 just using polish or gel polish.

AmelieinOz · 29/04/2015 12:57

What are Instagram eyebrows?

beccax6 · 29/04/2015 13:04

Not sure if I hate it but I can't understand why some people spend so much money and effort on their nails (art and gel) and not bother with makeup or caring about how they dress. Surely brushing hair would be the first thing to do rather than paint your nails every colour you have!

LazyRohazy · 29/04/2015 13:32

YY to a lot of the above, but the thing that I hate above all else is men wearing trousers that stop slightly above the ankle with loafers/deck shoe type things... and NO SOCKS. vom

noddyholder · 29/04/2015 13:37

www2.pictures.zimbio.com/pc/Ryan+Gosling+Ryan+Gosling+7+11+gzobm44cAFyl.jpg like this? I love it!

DinMeaney · 29/04/2015 13:45

Otherwise delicate strappy sandals with huge, clunky block heels. Too grim.

Lottapianos · 29/04/2015 13:49

Great thread Grin

My personal hates are:
Metallic / frosted effect on lips or nails
Chipped nail varnish - I mean seriously chipped, not just a tiny chip here or there. I have two colleagues whose polish is usually more off than on and it really makes me feel a bit sick
Badly maintained feet in sandals
Adult clothes that look like they should be for children - cute puppies and little bows etc, as mentioned up thread
Badly applied fake tan i.e. where you can tell that its fake
People who don't wear sunglasses when its sunny - possibly unreasonably, this drives me demented
Dirty filthy trainers especially Converse types - give them a wipe FFS!
