S&B loathes

Inspired by the Lipstick Queen are crap thread, I've got things I need to get off my chest (so to speak).

Nude lipstick, can't bear it. Hate, hate the 'foundation coloured lips' look.

There are others but that is my most loathed thing at the moment.

Do other people have things that the whole world seems to love but them?

Only thing that really annoys me is the legging clothed but otherwise bare bum - esp when the leggings are really thin and you can see the clear shape of the butt as if it were naked and also sometimes the knickers - makes me want to heave! It's like walking around naked Shock

GiantGaspingSatanicCyst · 01/05/2015 09:09

mowglik I once saw a woman wearing a black waist length top and fleshtone leggings. It looked for all the world as if she's forgotten to put her trousers on. I had to do a triple take just to make sure!

SevenEleven · 01/05/2015 11:29

Oh yes, the kitten heel. Awful!

mowglik · 01/05/2015 11:38

Lol - I've had to walk behind a few of these 'bare bottoms' and it was not pleasant, but have the nude illusion spectacle to look forward to yet.. :/

mistymeanour · 01/05/2015 11:50

I have to endure "the bare bottom" look whilst taking youngest to school and caught behind slow moving teens. The local secondary girls are very keen on the cheap, thin leggings with no skirt look (against the unifrom policy) or wear their skirts so short that you can see the gusset and tops of their tights and patterned knickers beneath - is it sexy?? Gussets on tights are definetly not attractive are they?

Lweji · 01/05/2015 12:04

I once walked behind a woman wearing lace leggings tights and a thong.

Not only that, but her top was hardly visible in the back. She looked like she was naked.

CandyApocalypse · 01/05/2015 12:05

My personal hates:

Uggs/crocs.

Leggings as trousers.

Fake tan unless it is done well.

Messy hair/buns/plaits that seem to be in fashion.

Animal print.

Those t shirts with big printed animals.

I have sinned too though, I love ballet flats (I have slim ankles so maybe I get away with it). I think my mum looks good with those jewellery necklace scarves and I wear both statement necklaces and wrap dresses.

workadurka · 01/05/2015 12:29

T shirts or tops with writing, pictures, logos - anything that isn't a plain t shirt basically. Makes me feel sick. Acceptable on young children only.

Anything made of scuba, wtf is that shit??

Desigual's entire range

Mini rucksacks

Nail and teeth jewels

See through linen trousers, ie all white linen trousers

Fascinators

Pleather bags

GiantGaspingSatanicCyst · 01/05/2015 13:11

Lol at 'Desigual's entire range', I am really not a print person and totally feel you there.

SconessMcFloness · 01/05/2015 14:16

Sandals with block heels, almost everything by American Apparell.

cerealqueen · 01/05/2015 14:55

3/4 sleeves on dresses/blouses that are too short so if you need to put a cardigan on the sleeve ends up past your elbow.

Yes to grey marl - particularly the matching tops and bottoms - says slovenly.

Cheap fur trims on coats

Shiny bobbly acrylic knitwear

Polyester nightdresses for children that look like cotton, bobbles like shit after one wash then you realise its polyester (must read the label)

Quilted PVC clothing and bags

pictish · 01/05/2015 14:58

Those cheap hairy pink or white jumpers with hearts or similar shite sequinned on to them.
Horrible.

pictish · 01/05/2015 15:01

The fact that synthetic shoes and boots are as expensive as proper footwear these days, while the price of actual leather has sky rocketed.

MamaLazarou · 01/05/2015 15:14

Skinny jeans
Scouse brows
Bronzer as blusher
Floral patterns
Ballet shoes
Ripped jeans
Hair bun on top of head (usually in one of those giant donut things)
Leggings
Breton tops
Blonde highlights on black hair
Black and navy worn together (seems to be a bit of a 'thing' at the moment)
Jeans tucked into knee boots
Toms/espadrilles
Giant hoop earrings
Black strappy shoes with giant blocky heel (like in Blurred Lines video)
Jelly shoes
Fun fur jackets
Ponte
Patterned wellies
Full face of foundation but no mascara (WHY?)

MamaLazarou · 01/05/2015 15:15

Oh, and the poster who wrote this:

"Biggest peeve of all: overlarge bags carried in the crook of the elbow whilst the hand of the carrying arm flaps around uselessly or (worse) holds a phone/bunch of keys/beverage from large chain-brand coffee outlet place out pretentiously as though the item is to be noted as is the fact that the person is so busy and important that this particular arm is working its arse off by carrying soooo many things."

I feel a deep and profound affinity with you.

missmartha · 01/05/2015 15:51

Big bun things on head
Huge hoop earrings
Velcro fastening on sandals (except very young and very old people)
Scouse brows
Cardi Uggs
Waterfall cardigans

Eustasiavye · 01/05/2015 16:02

Looks like I have committed a few sins!

I don't like studs, especially those spikey ones on shoulders.

I don't like nail art or obviously false nails.

If you must wear false hair, make sure you cannot see the plastic attachments.

Also I don't like to see anyone in heels they cannot walk in. I really wish flats would make a come back!

MrsUltracrepidarian · 01/05/2015 17:55

MamaLazarou
what is ponte?

candykane25 · 01/05/2015 18:43

Waterfall cardigans or coats.
Bell sleeves.
Frills
Pleats.

The pouting selfie, not strictly a fashion choice, but I cringe when I see one.

MamaLazarou · 02/05/2015 09:34

Ponte is that thick, stretchy textured polyester fabric that Kerry Katona wears a lot of.

Stevie77 · 02/05/2015 09:40

So, I think this thread has managed to 'loathe' pretty much every clothing item in existence.

steps out in just her knickers and bra

HappyGirlNow · 02/05/2015 09:55

Stevie I hate underwear Grin

MrsUltracrepidarian · 02/05/2015 14:03

A previous poster mentioned fabric trousers/leggings in the 'arse crack' and I thought that an exaggeration but.... saw it this morning in ASDA (of course Grin) Shock TMI!

MrsUltracrepidarian · 02/05/2015 14:04

MamaLazarou thx!

Lardylassnomore · 02/05/2015 14:10
