Have the Workwear Chatty threads stopped?

Just clearing down my Watched Threads and realised that I've not seen one in Active Convos for ages, can't find one on the first 5 pages in topic.

Have they stopped? Summer is coming!

'working' from home today and have taken delivery of 3 packages...
&other stories dresses one good one much shorter than it looks here, but these trousers are fab. Sandals from topshop - very comfortable
and very loose but surprisingly flattering dress but not really for work (the elusive school run dress perhaps?!)

fredabear · 14/04/2015 14:30

like but definitely don't need that zara top

lurkingaround · 14/04/2015 14:48

Love the Zara top. I was in Zara today, but a whistle stop returns visit. I saw the top, think it comes in white a s well, tho I don't see it on the website. Saw it on a woman there, was lovely on her.

Retuned this denim top which is lovely but not nice on me, not at all flattering on my shape, and not comfy, those flappy sleeves are fiercely annoying.

lurkingaround · 14/04/2015 14:50

Not that the denim top is workwear.....mixing up my threads

ElizabethHoover · 14/04/2015 17:19

i got a denim plain t shirt top thing from MV last year. LOVE it still

ElizabethHoover · 14/04/2015 17:20

Hah! Good taste Liz Wink

That top is even nicer irl than on the model. Thought it was lovely. Bloody hell. Am super tempted, as they say.Hmm. It's been said before but these threads are so bad for me.

Also returned the White broderie top. Too small in the M, v tight on shoulders and don't menrion the 30Es. Prob not right in the bigger size either, it's a v swingy top. Not great with my hips.

Having a poor record with online buys atm.

lurkingaround · 14/04/2015 17:58

Oh I love your denim top!

lurkingaround · 14/04/2015 18:10

This is the top I returned

noddyholder · 14/04/2015 18:25

I tried the white looked hideous but is lovely on the model!

Bearleigh · 14/04/2015 18:26

Hello threadsters. I am pleased Belinda is OK now. I was getting worried by the lack of posts.

I popped into Zara today too, and they have some gorgeous lace things, especially a navy lace top and matching skirt that would be smart enough for work, and two gorgeous white lace dresses, one sleeveless, one Victorian style. Both way too young for me, and not for work but utterly gorgeous and very well made.

lurkingaround · 14/04/2015 18:27

Disappointingly awful on me noddy. Tho agree it is lovely on the teeny teenchy tiny model

noddyholder · 14/04/2015 18:29

No good for boobs you need to be able to wear either nothing or a little slip of lace It was very frumpy looking on me its meant to hang not be 'filled' Grin

lurkingaround · 14/04/2015 18:41

Grin noddy. I looked a bit prisoner cell block H in broiderie. Think Cos gone twee. Not good.

Thought <a class="break-all" href="http://m.zara.com/ie/en/woman/dresses/view-all/embroidered-dress-with-full-skirt-c719020p2528081.html#utm_referrer=www.google.ie/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this dress was lovely. Didn't try on, could be a heap o' shit on.
Again not really workwear, jeez I'm losing the run of myself.

Didn't see a navy skirt and top. Linky?

noddyholder · 14/04/2015 18:46

I tried on a friends really expensive hippy type top from some £ place and it of course looked great! Lots of the broderie stuff looks terrible on if you aren't really skinny. I kept the zara gauzey one with the bobble trim and its ok ish

noddyholder · 14/04/2015 18:48

This is one I like but £100!

lurkingaround · 14/04/2015 18:58

Lovely noddy. I think I saw a similar one in Zara today. Sometimes Free People has lovely stuff. A bit speedy tho.

noddyholder · 14/04/2015 19:00

Yes I like some of the sandals but my string vests and bloomers days are gone (along with the speed) They have it in black too which I love

lurkingaround · 14/04/2015 19:21

I'm sure I saw v similar top in Zara today, can't find it online, more cream than white.

Friend has cream boho-ish top with black embroidery, Zara, v nice on her. Can't find that online either. (Obv I blame the Zara site, not my own searching skills!)

My string vest days are years gone too. I do love to look at Free People and sigh. And there's always one pair of shoes I'll love.

noddyholder · 14/04/2015 19:35

I bought a little shrug poncho thing from them for £20 and I have worn loads

Bearleigh · 14/04/2015 19:59

Here is the navy skirt linky. I think the top I saw was the same material as the skirt (just circles, no pattern) but it may have been the one pictured. With a black or navy top underneath it would be chic, assuming the fit is good:

I was in & Other Stories at the weekend and queued for 45 mins (!) to try on 9 items all of which looked good on the hanger, but fitted weirdly. I'm giving up on that shop I must be a strange shape for them as despite trying many times I have never found anything that looked good on me. They look good on others though, from what I've seen. Cos is better - I have bought one garment...

cheminotte · 15/04/2015 19:33

I bought these at M&S at lunchtime
m.marksandspencer.com/mt/www.marksandspencer.com/cotton-rich-cropped-tapered-leg-trousers/p/p22276133?jsrl=stop&un_jtt_redirect

Got in off white and dark orange. I don't think I've ever had Capri pants before. I'm planning to wear with some interesting flat shoes and a plain blouse on a Friday. I don't want / like to wear jeans to work but am overdressed in a suit, so struggle with smart-casual .

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/04/2015 19:49

I tried those M&S trews on in black a few weeks ago, but they were a disaster on me - looked all wide and flappy even on my thighs, which are absolute not gazelle-like.
