Oh and love those links too, the green dress is lovely.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/03/2015 18:09

Dry that dress is GORGEOUS. I have a similar 100% cotton tea dress from Tu from last year and it's lovely. I try to check out their clothes every few weeks.

As for the anxiety... hormones? (you probably already discounted that but mine always surprise me!) Hope you feel better soon.

Ooh great deal on the Stans Stokey :)

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/03/2015 18:19

Love that Sainsbo's dress - a perfect summer staple.

Drywhiteplease · 20/03/2015 18:26

Thanks for not laughing at my Sainsburys link. Useful dress.

Stokey funny Grin

I saw the eclipse......made me feel very small.

Marsha not surprised you're not sleeping. Hope you're ok. Sounds as if it will get sorted. And I'm obsessed with my S Smiths, love their blingy whiteness, wipe them after every wear CIFGrin

Santa your collegues sound lovely.

AND ......I've made an appointment next week to talk Botox after years of deliberation.........will keep you posted. May take before and after shits Grin

Drywhiteplease · 20/03/2015 18:28

Drywhiteplease · 20/03/2015 18:29

MarshaBrady · 20/03/2015 18:29

That made me laugh out loud too Grin

Karbea · 20/03/2015 18:49

marsha I don't know, it doesn't feel muscular, and it seems to be moving to my side as well! it hurts more when I'm sitting! I struggle to stand up. It sort of feels a bit like cramp but not.

LinusDKD · 20/03/2015 18:53

Lol dry! One of your famous typos and a very funny one!

I went into town today to go and try on some Lanvin ballet flats I had seen last week. I think I linked them, they're the studded ones.

I did really like them but they only had a size 37 and 38 and trust me to be a 37.5! But I think I'd actually prefer plain black ones so now I know my size at least.

Also tried on some Balenciaga flats just to know my size as well and wadda ya know, I am a 37.5 (the only size they have left online of the Balenciaga flats I have been lusting after since last year since I had seen them in NY)

Is it a sign? I love them but I really don't want to pay fp, especially as they only have one size my size left.

I also had another look at that Stella Iris jacket but I didn't try it on this time as I want DH's opinion before buying it as DM thought last time it was pulling a bit at the back and at that price, a jacket needs to fit like a glove.

I think I'll wait until we're on holiday as the shopping possibilities are a lot better where we're going.

Too many clouds here as well for the solar eclipse to be visible. It didn't even get very dark, how dissapointing!

bettykt · 20/03/2015 20:27

ha ha Dry that really made me laugh Grin great dress btw.

santamarianovella · 20/03/2015 20:40

dry I love you Grin, love the dress, your Sainsbury link made me weepy, and i dont shop there! but right now would even settle for tesco, I found a great pair of canvas trainers in a supermarket here, it was like €8 or even less i think, and Surprisingly it still looks good, was very useful when I was moving in and needed something cheapo as I didn't want to ruin my more £££ ones, but its really well made!

karbea it sounds painful, can you see someone?

I'm still not feeling the white trainers moment, probably because I see it every day around here, and its not my thing I think,

linus I like these, but maybe not you? Lanvin are really small sized, mine are around half a size bigger, and they are still snug, but not unbearable or anything, very comf now, takes some time getting used to them.

I agree with your mum,and sometimes when you are about to fork £££ on something, not only doesn't have to fit like a glove,it has to fit in your wardrobe easily, look around when you leave on holiday and don't rush,

QueenCardigan · 20/03/2015 20:49

Shit day. Dd1 started the day with a massive strop. Dd2 has puked everywhere. Ds is now ending the day with a massive strop. And I can't even have a drink as I'm still hungover from last night Grin.

And breathe. I will now try and catch up. Hope there's some lovely links to distract me.

QueenCardigan · 20/03/2015 21:03

dry thank you for making me laugh out load with your shits comment Grin.

I pinned a ba&ash image earlier. Love the lacy blouse with the wide leg trousers and it almost makes me want some stan smiths.
Great dress dry. I had a great white broderie top from there last year but when I got it out the other day I noticed that it has a yellow stain on it sadly.

Karbea · 20/03/2015 21:05

santa I'm going to see my gp next Thursday! but if it carries on being this painful I might see my acupuncturist.

LinusDKD · 20/03/2015 21:27

santa the SA in the shoe shop suggested those Chloe flats (but the plain ones, without eyelets) to me after I tried the Lanvin and Balenciaga but they didn't really wow me.

I guess it's the pale rim of the sole showing, I really bothers me for some reason.

queenc hair of the dog? Wink

I have had two lovely G&T's today made with Monkey 47 Sloe Gin. I bought a bottle today and man, that stuff is delicious!

Stokey · 21/03/2015 07:57

I was meant to be going to the local gin bar last night Linus, various types of homemade gin. Various people cancelled so missed out this time but need to try again.

Hope dd2 is better QueenC . We're all struggling with colds.

Ellisisland · 21/03/2015 08:15

Love the dress Dry and the typo Grin

Hope the DCs are better today Queen

Got the DSs outfits for the weddings we are going to yesterday. Ended up with little suits with waistcoats instead of jackets as they won't wear the jackets for more than five minutes.

Ordered a few bikini and swimming costumes to try on thanks for the shop suggestions.

Drywhiteplease · 21/03/2015 08:22

Stokey gin bar serving homemade gin sounds fab

QueenCardigan · 21/03/2015 08:24

So far so good. No strops, no puking and no hangover Smile.

I just need a whinge about my hair though- I had decided to grow it but it's just looking so lank and greasy. I don't have time to was it every morning a it needs blow drying but lately I'm a hot sweaty hormonal mess overnight and so my hair looks awful in the mornings. I've also realised that I get compliments about my hair when it's shorter and sharper so I think I'm going to have to forget growing it.

Looking sunny today. Wondering if I can get my ankles out later.

shopafrolic · 21/03/2015 09:39

Morning Voguettes - cloudy here :(
Same as you QueenC with the hair growing hell. I've had so many people say how much they love my hair short that I don't think I can be arsed to pursue the pain of growing it out (my hair is so thick that I have a mushroom on my head ATM Hmm ). With the trip to the sun as well my hair will be a right mess so I think I'll get it cut off again next week.
Lovely night last night but outfit was all wrong. I have no going out tops (I've said this before). I must have tried about 20 tops on last night with my HL leather skinnies and none of them looked right. Ended up wearing Lib's Uniqlo sleeveless black silk shirt. Slapped some red lipstick on and hoped for the best but really wasn't happy.
Decision made on the white dress - am keeping the Comptoir one. The Massimo one is ok, but the fabric isn't as nice and the quality overall isn't as good. I think I'll wear the Comptoir one for other things too.
Phew! Epic post!

Can you link the Comptoir again Shop. Your outfit last night sounds lovely though.
Re hair ..... Think some women just suit a sharper cut better. Half way can often look a bit meh to me. I'm verging on that and really need to change my hairdresser, I change about every 5yrs. Queen if people compliment you with shorter hair and you like it better why are you growing out? Have you tried dry shampoo? Apparently it gives you body and people swear by the stuff makes me look grey though

santamarianovella · 21/03/2015 10:29

queen and shop you both suit short hair, you both have small delicate features and can carry it off well, and queen in your case it gives a tiny bit of edge to your classic style, but not too much , it balances it out well,

And shop I can't imagine you in anything longer,it's just not you I think,

I hope I'm making sense!

karbea, yes go and have it checked,

Its raining and windy here Sad, just as well, no plans for going out, having a play date for dd here this afternoon, might wear rag and bones slim boyfriends and marant plaid shirt,

shopafrolic · 21/03/2015 10:58

Heading out - back later Comptoir
