Oh my god linus I hate you . I absolutely adore them as flats. But I absolutely no way can justify that much on shoes. Sigh.

Ellis read your post about ballet career, sounds amazing. Completely understand the bittersweet. Love Scotland in the summer, the light is amazing. We are going up there soon but not as far north as Inverness.

Dry I have 2 episodes to go. Will try and watch tonight but need to pack too. Had a conversation with my dad earlier about rl politics (William Hague & Speaker vote scandal) and couldn't help but see F Underwood's face every time he said 'whip the vote' .

I have just made biscuits for the dogs in the hope it would make me feel better. I don't, still feel as if I could throw up at any minute :(

Weirdly, I don't have much problem blowing that much on a bag but can't do it on shoes, especially sandals which will rarely be worn.
Day 2 of the holidays here and I'm exhausted. The dc are messing up the house as quickly as I tidy it.

Yep, I'm home.

The DC were a bit of a handful today and then decided to top it all off by complaining about dinner.... Again.

I made pork tenderloin with a mustard and (very light dusting of) brown sugar coating, blanched kale with little bacon bits and roasted new potatoes.

The only two people at the dinner table who didn't find fault with dinner were DH and me.

Lots of for poor Linus. It's tough when they play up. (The food sounds lovely!). And also for QueenC. I feel your pain. You know I do like a tidy house. actually, when I am with the dcs, I have this thing that everything has to return to the playrooms at the end of the night. Then I do my best but eventually I firmly shut the doors so I can't see the disaster.

Dh has just called me to say he won't be back before 11pm because they have just got something big come in. We did have Thursday and Tuesday booked off so that we had almost a week off at home with the dcs. He will now be working all weekend. Therefore increasingly tired, tense and miserable.

Linus that sounds delicious! Your DC will learn to appreciate it in time. I love those shoes, especially the flats, but like QueenC, couldn't justify that for summer shoes.

Big decisions here regarding house-moving (exciting!) so may not be spending too much for a while. But if all goes to plan, I can bore on about interiors instead.

Just been looking at the chanel and dior versions of the HOC lipstick and trying to explain to DH the difference the colour made to my face all im getting is "but they arent red" think he is so used to me in red lips going to try them when i am in london tgis weekend im so excited
