Spring is a springing, Blair is getting married, Shop is heading to sunnier shores. Will Linus find the perfect black flat shoe? Will Marsha's kitchen ever be finished? Join the hundreds (make that handful) of delurkers who have joined the fun recently and come and join us for random fashion and beauty chat. All budgets welcome, bring links.... :)

Linus I haven't started. I have placed an empty suitcase in the spare room. Not the same thing Grin
Starting to get the pre holiday stress.

shopafrolic · 30/03/2015 21:06

All ok Marsha?

LinusDKD · 30/03/2015 21:09

I've just started to put things we don't use now like swimsuits and towels on the bed in the spare bedroom and I have made a list of all the things I need to pack.

I am getting pre-holiday stress as well...

shopafrolic · 30/03/2015 21:23

Phew! I thought I was the only one....

Thanks Queen
I was very surprised at the deep summer as i thought i could have been winter but the difference to my face with the scarves was amazing. Definitely looking forward to my london trip this weekend now! Its been a miserable tiring couple of months i just need to relax and do leisurely activities for a change

MarshaBrady · 30/03/2015 21:26

I've only got pre-job stress, no where near as good.

I'm ok thanks Shop hope I made the right decision, no turning back now. All aspects locked in, eek.

LinusDKD · 30/03/2015 21:26

Ooh my mum had it way worse than me! So much so that for the first week of our holidays she was usually, ahem, constipated.

I remember once we were desperately trying to find prune juice in an Italian supermarket to help her get some 'relief' Grin

MarshaBrady · 30/03/2015 21:29

Linus I loved Philip Seymour Hoffman, thought he was great in HG

Santa will have to watch it

QueenC good to have you back btw

First day of holidays, ex so excited to be home just going to bed now.

MarshaBrady · 30/03/2015 21:36

Muddling deep summer sounds nice.

Ellis that is impressive, so does that mean you have to bring your ballet shoes to the MU? Wink

santamarianovella · 30/03/2015 21:39

I hate packing and unpacking, I always forget things no matter how careful I'm,usually once we land in our holiday destination , i always make a stop at a pharmacy to buy a tooth brush or sun block or shampoo. I wish I could hire someone to pack for me,

linus ,yes Philip Seymour was extremely talented, I loved him in doubt, specially the sermon scene,

marsha, don't stress about it now, I'm sure you've done the right thing,

muddlingalongquitenicely · 30/03/2015 21:52

DH does the packing in our house as he has OCD with it all and he does a good job with it. When we arrive i unpack while he goes out and explores for 30 minutes.
He bought me loads of skin care goodies from korea never knew how advanced they were with cosmetics and skin care until i started to do some research of present ideas.

BrandyAlexander · 30/03/2015 21:53

Oh Ellis, how fab!Smile I just adore the ballet although I am a total ignoramus about the technical aspects of it.

For those of you following my non-holiday saga, dh emailed me at work today with some flight options for Spain/Portugal. He has conceded defeat on subject of the flight.Grin

Lib, when dc1 was 3 and 4, i just did clues with pictures of where the next clue was. Last year, I did rhyming clue which I cobbled together from various websites including netmums. Will send you a link or pin. The dcs think the Easter bunny hides everything while we are at church on Easter Sunday. I use the icing sugar trick to leave footprints (they haven't yet noticed they are similar to Santa and Rudolph's footprints Grin

LinusDKD · 30/03/2015 21:56

muddling Lisa Eldridge (again!) did a great video about Korean beauty products. Fascinating!

BrandyAlexander · 30/03/2015 22:00

Here is an example from last year Lib. I typed out the clues then cut the clues and mount them onto coloured heavy card then I put a bunny or Easter egg sticker next to it.

That was the first video i watched made a shopping list from it lol the cushion foundation that is just starting to appear over here has been out for ages over there and they do a eyeliner cushion which he didnt pick up as he was unsure of the colours i have some lip glosses and a liad of face masks and cream samples to try.

libertychick · 30/03/2015 22:28

Welcome back muddling. Deep summer sounds lovely. The HoC lippys are a bit drying. I put a bit of carmex over them.

I'm quite excited about doing the easter egg hunt! We didn't have the Easter bunny when I was a child so I had already said to DD that we buy eggs woops She heard about him at nursery so she has decided that Mum is going to meet the Easter bunny and help.him hide the eggs and she'll hunt for them with Dad Grin. Good news on the flights BTW.

Karbea I have your lurgy / cold / flu Sad so annoying. Are you feeling better?

dry DH packs for himself and DD. He wouldn't trust me with it.

libertychick · 30/03/2015 22:30

The second para above was supposed to start with Flowers novice.

BrandyAlexander · 30/03/2015 22:38

Lib, pm me your email address (just checked and don't have it saved!) and I will email mine to you. Sorry you're not well. Thanks

QueenCardigan · 31/03/2015 07:52

marsha it sounds like you were successful with the interviews? I'm sure you've made the right choice.
lib and karbea hope you're feeling better. Luckily the Cardigan household is germ free at the moment.
I'd never trust dh to pack for the dc. He would just pack a load of random things rather than thinking about what goes with what and he wouldn't think to pack spares in case of accidents/dirt.
Did anyone else feel as if their house would blow down last night?

BrandyAlexander · 31/03/2015 08:27

Morning all! yes the wind kept making the foxes howl with fright. and waking up dd who visited me 3 times. Knackered. Sad

dressed all in black today. Damsel in a dress Alexandra dress and jacket and RB shoe boots. have cheered the outfit up with the blingiest ring ever... Swarovski moon ring. plus swarovski watch and necklace. its blingtastic. Grin

have a happy Tuesday everyone. Smile

Cranagh · 31/03/2015 08:57

Ellis, that's impressive!

Muddling, I wasn't keen on the HOC lipsticks. For plum I like Dior 881, Chanel Bonheur and MAC Lustre Plumful.

Me & Em sent me a discount for £10 for doing a survey, SURVEY10 if anyone wants to try it so ordered this top.

Off to a museum with the DDs this morning.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 31/03/2015 09:06

Thank you Cranagh I thought for the price they are they would have felt better on my lips almost a gritty texture. Will check out those colours when i get a chance

libertychick · 31/03/2015 09:10

novice have pm'd.

Nice top Cranagh.

libertychick · 31/03/2015 09:13

Forgot to say thanks to justa for the Dune brogues link. I have a pair from Dune in black that I love.
