It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

Following on from here

Lib hope the meeting goes brilliantly. Novice you must be done now but hope it was good.
Yawn outfit here too Linus - Goldsign Lures, black and white plaid shirt from Lib, and Crisi boots. Come on Spring.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 02/03/2015 08:23

Hello all, been tempted in to the thread by the chat about flares and dungarees - I have ordered the white h&m pair Linus linked to. Sure they will look 'painter and decorator' but they are an itch I need to scratch.

Good luck with meetings lib and novice - what dress did you go with?

Waves to all.

OneLittleLady · 02/03/2015 08:30

Ugh, OneCat is not co operating with having her cream put on. she's hiding under the bed from me right now. Must find a way to tempt her out and then pounce on her

It's sunny and bright here but chilly, wearing blue and white horse print dress, red stretchy waist belt, red cashmere cardigan, black flat mary janes and I'll put my spotty hobbs coat and purple dkny scarf on top as soon as ive got the cat sorted so i can leave

bettykt · 02/03/2015 08:39

Good luck to Lib with your meeting today, you're wearing a great outfit.

Novice hope your meeting went well

Bernice please report back on the white H&M pair, I've seen them in the window of my local H&M and think of Linus when I walk past. Go ahead and scratch that itch.

wfh today, wearing comfy clothes Blush

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/03/2015 08:42

Hello Bernice :)

One sorry to hear about OneCat, hope she and the other cat get used to each other soon. Your neighbour sounds really selfish.

Am on the train, feeling rough. I was better over the weekend but this morning I feel as bad as I did at my worst point last week. I've lost about 9 lbs! Not good as once my dress gets fitted I'll have to keep it off til the wedding. Miserable!

Hope the meetings went/go well novice and lib. Have a nice day everyone!

OneLittleLady · 02/03/2015 08:46

Hope you feel better soon Blair it's miserable feeling ill Thanks

thanks for all the OneCat sympathies everyone, I finally got her out from under the bed and have got her cream on her. She will do anything pretty much for some dreamies though now she's running away every time I go near her Sad

libertychick · 02/03/2015 08:54

Hello bernice Smile. I just knew you'd do dungarees Grin Like betty I keep seeing those white ones in H&M and thinking of Linus.

Thanks for all the good wishes for today

9lbs lost Blair!!! Where did you lose it from? get them to leave a little bit of room in the dress, I lost loads of weight before my wedding and then started to stress eat a week or two before it and gained 4lbs very quickly.

LinusDKD · 02/03/2015 09:06

Hi Bernice! Grin

Good for you that you had the guts to buy those dungarees. I also walk past them a few times a week and every time I hear "cluck, cluck, cluck" as I am too chicken to buy them.

blair that's a lot of weight loss! Do you think it's stress related? I lost quite a bit as wel in the last few weeks before the wedding.

And for the first time in 8 years I recently got back to my wedding weight! Smile

shopafrolic · 02/03/2015 09:19

Hello Bernice I am struggling with the flares thing. I think I can only do them for nights out, not sure the school gates in my village can handle it Grin
Blair I lost more lbs before the big day - definitely stress related. Take care of yourself.
Deep breaths Liberty

shopafrolic · 02/03/2015 09:19

Linus congrats - are you still running?

BrandyAlexander · 02/03/2015 09:35

LinusDKD · 02/03/2015 10:24

ujjayi pm

QueenCardigan · 02/03/2015 10:54

Good luck to all those with big meetings.
Hello bernice, go scratch that itch.
blair 9lbs Shock? Take it easy and don't lose anymore.
one cats are little buggers aren't they. They just sense when you need to do something to them and retreat under the bed.

Re: flares, I haven't worn my gap curvy yet as it keeps raining. I need a day of guaranteed dryness but I plan on wearing them casually on the school run. That article in the style mag seemed a bit pointless to me. I thought Sigorney weaver looked fab in her article though didn't she. Did you see the article in the actual newspaper about the £300 thing. Apparently that's the optimal price point for designers and the most popular that people will pay within a brand. Michael Kors are reportedly doing really well as that's the price point of their bags.

shopafrolic · 02/03/2015 11:05

Missed ST Style this week and the newsagent has sold out now. :( Can anyone post me Style when they're done? Or email me a pic of the flares article?
I seem to have just bought a second pair Hmm. I blame Linus Grin

QueenCardigan · 02/03/2015 11:33

If I can save it from the recycling I'm happy to post it. Pm me your address.

OneLittleLady · 02/03/2015 12:48

you know how i said it was bright and sunny here this morning?not five minutes after my post it started snowing!!! i am so cold but glad i put my cashmere cardigan on!

maradesbois · 02/03/2015 14:26

Hello,

Thanks for new thread QueenC. You're right about the £300 price point btw. A big department store near us has got rid of mulberry, chloé and some others (for bags) and replaced with large MK and Coach concessions as they must need to move volume. Lots of young girls here have MK as schoolbags which must put a lot of pressure on parents. I overheard a conversation at the gym the other day where a lady said she was buying Louboutins for her granddaughter for the school prom as the parents couldn't afford and she didn't want her to feel left out. Crazy stuff caused by obsession with celebrity culture. I thought I was the height of cool back in the day with my Benetton backpack.

Good to 'see' you Bernice.

Glad all went well Novice.

Sleep we will miss you at MU.

Flowers for Shop who sold me her Marant plaid shirt now she's not Autumn. Love it Smile.

Linus you've enabled me to buy the skinny Marrakesh, merci!

Last week I also bought this Equipment shirt. It hasnt arrived yet so will see what it's like on. Lots of you may hate the print but I've been hankering after florals for spring so worth a try. Would style it a bit like the pic with jeans, my neutral wang clutch and heels for evening.

OneLittleLady · 02/03/2015 15:38

mara I find it crazy that schoolgirls are kitted out in more designer gear than I've ever had in my life to go to maths lessons! I thought I was blessed when I got my sweatershop sweater as a teen, never mind having actual designer gear. The height of cool and sophistication when I was that age was to have Nike Air Max trainers for doing PE in and they were expensive enough at the time never mind having £300 bags to carry my schoolbooks in! I find it so weird that it's such a , well, 'thing' now

Ujjayi · 02/03/2015 17:48

Hi Everyone. Mad dash for a quick post so apologies if I've missed out on anyone's news & I'll check back on links etc later.

Firstly hello to Bernice Smile

One glad you finally got OneCat to co-operate. I hadn't realised you were in a flat and IMO that does put a different spin on things in so far as your NDN cat is spraying in a communal space (and specifically on your door - bluergh) Do you have some kind of a management office that deals with the communal areas? That might be worth investigating. However, first I would try and get the neighbour to see how awful it is to keep a male cat intact. They spray - which stinks and you shouldn't have to put up with it; they make more unwanted kittens; and they wander more than unneutered cats, putting his cat at greater risk of injury or theft. Really tricky situation. I hope you can resolve it soon. Poor puss.

Thank you to everyone who has shown interest in the silk vest top (I think Dry, Karbea & Shop?) I've already made a couple of sketches but I have a wedding dress to finish this week so I'll make a sample next week and share.

Lib I'll answer your PM later.

Linus thanks for the heads up on the Marrakesh. I've decided that I'm going to pass on the flares unless the TS flares work out.

Blair hope you feel more settled soon. It does seem stress related - the fact that it kickstarted again on the train to work. Are you rather snowed under with work? If so, can you get any assistance or speak with your manager?

Youngest DS has been home all day with what sounds like a horrid headache. It started yesterday - came on very suddenly and quite violent. One minute he was chatting and laughing in the bath and the next he could barely keep his head up & burst into tears. I've been dashing between his bedroom and my study (I have a client coming for a fitting tomorrow so I was a bit stuck and had to work) trying to ensure he's okay - he slept almost the entire morning which is unheard of. I'm wondering if he has a migraine. I started with them at a similar age so not beyond the realms of possibility.

Have a great evening!

AmberNectarine · 02/03/2015 17:53

I don't want to alarm you Ujj but keep an eye on that - I felt like that when I had meningitis (viral) in 2013. Viral isn't life threatening like bacterial but I didn't feel right for months and still suffer from terrible headaches even now and I never got them before.

Have taken delivery of a denim boiler suit. Always a good sign when you don't take something off after trying on, I think.

Drywhiteplease · 02/03/2015 18:01

Oh Ujj migraines are horrible! hope your DS is ok. Yes, I'm interested in silk vest.
liberty how did it go?
Hello Bernice....seeing dungarees everywhere in mags but not IRL yet.

Lots of snow here today .... Blizzard like at 12.45 when I was outside.

AND......just back from a H and Safety training the joy I tripped over a "caution wet floor" yellow V sign as I came into the meeting room. I'm not making it up! Grin

Anyone started HoC season 3 yet? Need to finish Nurse Jackie then I'm on it. Can't wait.

As you can see, absolutely no fashion news here today.

libertychick · 02/03/2015 18:05

ujjayi echoing amber. do call 111 and get advice. Severe headache and drowsiness are signs of meningitis. Has he a temperature? Also check if hands and feet feel cold. I have brought DD to GP only 3 times since birth so I am really not a person who over reacts but with those symptoms I would go to A&E or call out of hours service.
