Of course Ujjayi! I have already tried one, this sort of style, which didn't work because the centre bit was too long to hold my boobs "in" and the silicone was coming away from my skin in the middle (hard to explain). Hoping this style will be better.

shopafrolic · 23/02/2015 14:41

Novice phew - take it easy please xxx

karbea well done on the boots!

novice great news, take good care of yourself!

ujjayi it's bad you still haven't received your delivery.

Ujjayi · 23/02/2015 15:39

Just catching up with Topshop Unique runway show yesterday. It is gorgeous. Lots of really wearable chic pieces. Very grown up. It's on their home page

Karbea · 23/02/2015 16:27

blair could you not do something with tit tape?
ujj couldn't you incorporate a bra into the dress?

LinusDKD · 23/02/2015 16:57

shop I saw this clutch and thought about you and your upcoming trip.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/02/2015 17:02

Not really Karbea it's only that I need to feel that my boobs are "encased" rather than loose inside the dress. To give a bit of shape!

Good idea about sewing a bra into a dress, one of my BMs has had that suggested to her by a seamstress as she is having an issue with gaping at the boob on her dress.

shopafrolic · 23/02/2015 17:05

That's lovely Linus - I like it in the red too........
As soon as DH has the itinerary and we know how many 'events' there are to attend I can get shopping :)

Ujjayi · 23/02/2015 17:18

Karbea the dress will be made from silk crepe and the bodice is camisole style so there isn't enough structure to hold an internal support, iyswim. It's a very bohemian style wedding dress - think beach/destination wedding more than UK church.

Lib are you still interested in those Clarks shoes? . Just had DS shoe fitting in my local store and spotted a pair of them on the sale rack - £15.99 size 5.5. They may have other sizes but DS wasn't in the mood to let me mooch! I can pop back tomorrow for you if you are still keen as it's only 10 minutes drive away.

sleepwhenidie · 23/02/2015 18:24

Hi all - we are back from skiing. Getting there was an absolute shocker - lowest point (morale wise) was at about 10pm on the Saturday night, stuck on a fairly deserted mountain in a snowstorm, unable to get snow chains onto the tyres of my Dsis's car Shock. Great week when we were there though - DS1 is officially (at 9) a better skier than me Confused! WIfi was v patchy so I didn't post and have to admit it was quite nice to unplug a bit Smile.

Drywhiteplease · 23/02/2015 18:52

Welcome home Sleep. Hopefully the goid part will help you forget the nightmare journey. I saw snow here today Confused

Novice phew! but is there anyway you could slow down a bit? stupid question I know

Didn't Amber get a De Matra (sp?) for Christmas?

liberty there are many things I'd say no to fashion wise (boiler suits, uggs, onsies etc) but some people can just carry them off. If anyone can pull off dungarees it's Amber.

Agree with Fedup on Oscar dresses. Kelly O's dress obv isn't what I'd wear but I love her style, she's so off piste. John Travolta has lost it in everyway. And Sienna, blimey!!!!!Shock I like Jennifer Hudsons yellow. column. And GOOD GOD can Eddie pull off tailoring, he's is so classy you've got to love him Smile .....and I'm sick of J LO's cleavage, got the message Jen, now put them away, EVERY TIME!!!!!!

Right, Shop, your dress. Full length or cocktail? I need a project.

Drywhiteplease · 23/02/2015 18:57

Oh and if I'd been invited I'd have spoken to Gucci Hq and had this made full length.............Eddie wouldn't have been able to resist me Grin

Drywhiteplease · 23/02/2015 19:26

Evening gowns for Shop assuming you don't have one, have no budget and want full length;
nice
bit different too hot, poly
too girly? Silk
simple, sexy
gorgeous! but satin not good in hot climate as shows perspiration
yes!!

Fedupnagging · 23/02/2015 19:36

Novice good news but take care.

Ujjayi not such good news re your delivery.

Sleep glad you got there eventually and had a good time.

Karbea sounds like you had a successful round trip today.

Blair I have a similar bra from John Lewis - the first time I wore it, the tape came unstuck Blush but luckily we hadn't reached the venue at that point. I restuck it with the spare tape and it stayed there. Didnt feel completely safe though!

Dry yes, I'm wondering what has happened to John Travolta too. His face looks suspiciously strange smooth and very strange antics. He was just gorgeous in Grease

Fedupnagging · 23/02/2015 19:40

Meant to add:

Dungarees - not keen for me now although loved them as a teen and when pregnant. If you look good in them though, go for it.

Shop love the de manta Linus linked and would look fab in red. Does the budget stretch?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/02/2015 19:48

Welcome back Sleep, glad you had a great time once you got there! Hope your car isn't too much hassle to fix now you're back.

Ok voguettes the time has come - help me accessorise my wedding dress!!

First, do I try and go for silver or gold toned stuff? (Dress is ivory, beading on it is definitely "warm", but gold accessories will be harder to find and I think silver would look ok)

I will be getting a smallish curved crystal hair comb to sit next to my updo, which is going to be in a low side bun. (Unless you all agree I won't need it!)

What jewellery do you think I need?

Here's the dress again.

Ujjayi · 23/02/2015 19:57

Blair your dress is stunning. I would go for either simple earrings and/or a very delicate bracelet. You really don't need anything else Smile

MarshaBrady · 23/02/2015 20:03

Blair you are going to look so beautiful

Same as Ujj, very simple, delicate bracelet or simple earrings. But the dress is beautiful as it is and doesn't need much at all.

MarshaBrady · 23/02/2015 20:04

Welcome back Sleep glad it was worth the journey, sounds great.

Dry agree on J Lo and her boobs. Plus Eddie, yep he looks excellent. He must be so chuffed to get an Oscar already.

MarshaBrady · 23/02/2015 20:07

Shop wish I had a corporate wife holiday coming up with event, sob Grin

That Halson Heritage black one is stunning! get that one!

Also love the MW

MarshaBrady · 23/02/2015 20:13

I'm not keen on Scarlett J's Oscar hair.

Fedupnagging · 23/02/2015 20:14

Blair I agree with Ujjayi and Marsha, you don't need much in the way of accessories - but delicate and simple is the way to go. I am thinking gold would look better but you would really need to try on with the dress.

Have just remembered we have last weeks Broadchurch to watch before the final episode tonight so am off.....

LinusDKD · 23/02/2015 20:17

I agree, keep it simple blair

I only wore a pair of DM's diamond earrings on my wedding day (and a comb in my hair) as my dress had a lace overlay which was eyecatching enough. Oh and my engagement ring of course.

libertychick · 23/02/2015 20:17

Do you have a budget for accessories Blair? I agree with Marsha and ujjayi, simple earrings and maybe a delicate bracelet. If you are planning to spend a bit then definitely gold so you can wear again.

ujjayi thanks for the offer of getting the shoes. So nice of you. I still don't know and regardless of price I am trying to only get things if I really like them so I'll leave them for now Smile

I really like the last dress dry linked for shop.

shopafrolic · 23/02/2015 20:18

Evening all. Dry cocktail not floor length. No poly. 30 degrees ish by day. Want bright colours but need to be careful of sunburn clash Grin
Blair sigh, weep - our first Voguette wedding. Gorgeous. Are you sure we can't come? What they said. Keep it simple.
