Santa glad you're feeling better, loved your halo comment, you too Novice

Linus how are you dc, is dh poorly too?

Grin at Shop freaking out at non sophis hen MU please bring tack someone please Grin

Remus you MUST go, I went to the last one, everyone is absolutely lovely, not scary at all and no-one is dressed head to toe in Chanel, well apart from Mara's lovely jacket, swoon.

Ujjayi I too would love a link to your blog this is me on pin Remus I'm following you already, am I following you Karbea?

I think I will be getting my flares out this summer, they never really went away, the beauty of not throwing clothes away, but may invest in a more up to date pair, will probably try some from TS

As for purchases, I'm on a spending ban for a few months but had to get this Vanessa Bruno cabs tote for work, you wouldn't believe the crappy bag I've been carrying my work folders in, oh the shame, these bags may be ubiquitous in Paris but where I live they're rare as rocking horse poo Grin It's my last purchase for a while.

bettykt · 04/02/2015 10:17

shopafrolic · 04/02/2015 11:02

If you met me Betty you'd know I'm all classy and sofistickated Wink
Amber thanks. Seeing you in the leopard print skirt has made me think I might as well hang onto these shoes since they are so far from my face......

Ujjayi · 04/02/2015 11:07

Lib & Shop went back to the local store today to see about IM boots - they were waiting to hear from their other branch but unfortunately they have neither of those styles left. They will let me know if anything comes in/any returns though so I'll keep you posted.

sleepwhenidie · 04/02/2015 11:15

Love that Cabas bag Betty. Glad everyone is feeling better QueenC - Wolford opaque tights are worth every penny btw, virtually indestructible (not the case with the sheer ones, don't go there Hmm).

bettykt · 04/02/2015 11:15

Shop I love those shoes.

sleepwhenidie · 04/02/2015 11:16

Marsha you would look amazing in flares v farah fawcett 2025 stylee Smile

sleepwhenidie · 04/02/2015 11:16

2025??? 2015 Smile

libertychick · 04/02/2015 11:24

Thanks Ujjayi. So nice of you.

You may all remember my little flurry of activity on the 31st when I resolved to sort myself out a bit... so today I endured the worst bit, seeing the dentist and dental hygenist. I now have gleaming teeth and future appointments are booked in so i can't let it slip again polishes halo

To summarise:
I have meditated almost every day since 1st jan
Gone to 2 exercise classes a week for last 5 weeks
Got hair cut and coloured and booked in next apts
Sorted out teeth as per above
Had style and colour analysis and now sorting wardrobe
Alcohol only 3 evenings a week and no more than 2 drinks at a time

I am feeling good!

Next steps
Maintain the above
Get to bed by 10am on school nights
Drink more water
Stop eating after 7pm (my diet is pretty good except for snacking in the evening)

I agree Sleep - Marsha would rock it
Heard a new band on R1 this morning. The song was Oceans. Can't remember the bloody name of them and wanted to order. Two guys. Any ideas? Very Damien Rice like.
I've just ordered this JL breton
this cashmere
and this one
Will only keep one cashmere, hopefully the brighter one - blatantly copying Amber. Flowers for the code QueenC and Lib
I am also thinking about getting another tattoo on my wrist. Am I having a midlife crisis? Hmm
DH just got his new targets for this financial year. They want over 20% more revenue from him but with no pay increase.... not good

shopafrolic · 04/02/2015 11:34

Found them! Seafret - lovely, dreamy stuff......

libertychick · 04/02/2015 11:39

Shop it's so rubbish the way companies treat good people 'thanks for that and doing better then everyone else now do more'??? On my MBA course one of the management theories on my course says to assume that people can always do more Confused hmmmm wonder if there is any link between that type of bullshit and the fact that half the country is on ABs and suffering from stress, insomnia etc - drives me nuts. Sorry for the rant, hope you are both ok.

The breton looks lovely and both sweaters are gorgeous, may be a tough decision choosing which to send back!

OP posts:
bettykt · 04/02/2015 11:52

Shop love the Breton, in fact I'm wearing one today but not in traditional colours though. That's rubbish about dh's targets, it's as if he's being penalised for doing well Hmm

Liberty sounds as if you're doing great and embracing a lifestyle change, new regime, new colours and styles. Great spree you've just had. I'm reading more and switch off the IPad after 10 o'clock, I want to read more books this year but it is does mean a bit less MNV.

shopafrolic · 04/02/2015 12:14

Betty I am trying to read every night before bed again now. Gone Girl at the moment (late to the party). The paperwhite Kindle is brilliant as I can read it in the dark so I don't disturb DH. I am also avoiding alcohol in the week as I've realised it is causing me difficulties getting to sleep. I was only having 2 glasses of wine max but couldn't sleep. I miss it :(
Lib agreed - the world has gone mad. All the good people will go bang eventually x
So tattoo? Midlife crisis?

libertychick · 04/02/2015 12:22

Betty forgot to say - lovely bag.

Shop what type of tattoo? I regularly hanker after another one too Smile. It's a bit midlife crisis I suppose but no worse than lots of other things people do at this stage ie cosmetic surgery!

QueenCardigan · 04/02/2015 12:37

That's madness lib and shop. There's no way I coukd have ever given more when I was working as I was already working way and above my hours in order to try and maintain quality.
lib your goals sound great and so glad you are feeling good. I rarely drink midweek but it is nice once in a while.
shop how long have you been considering if for? If for a while then do it. What would you have. Whispers

shopafrolic · 04/02/2015 12:39

It's good pain QueenC Grin
I want this with DS birth date on
Which reminds me - I must go and pick him up.....
Final question - to complete the midlife crisis - can anyone tell me what sizing is like on Adidas Superstars please?

OneLittleLady · 04/02/2015 12:50

Have you got a design in mind Shop? I don't think it's a mid life anything if it's something you really want to have done

A lod of swimwear just arrived, must go and try on shortly. There's a few maxi dresses I found in petite as well which hopefully won't be too clingy. My sisters sorting me some cover ups as she has loads of light kimono top type cover ups i can borrow

LinusDKD · 04/02/2015 12:59

The black Hoxtons arrived and they are lovely. Thanks for recommending them lib!

They are a bit snug around the waist but I can close the button and I am a bit bloated as my periods are going to start any moment now so I am going to keep them.

BrandyAlexander · 04/02/2015 13:14

Afternoon! Day 3 in bed. Thank goodness I love my room. Why I haven't put on a stone in weight is also a mystery. Plenty of eating when I am feeling up to it, not much moving!

Thanks Shop. Also, sorry to hear about Mr Shops targets. Are they achievable?

I am way too wussy to do tattoos! Wince, wince.Grin

Lib that all sounds so good. Well done you! Thanks

libertychick · 04/02/2015 13:21

good news about the Hoxtons Linus. The waist on mine are snug but they do loosen enough to be comfy with wear. One of the things I like about them is that because the waist doesn't stretch too much they stay in place and you don't have to hoick them up during the day.

I like that tattoo Shop - would you do both wrists like in the pin or just one?

Vince silk shirt has arrived and I love it. Great colour and shape. Good for a night out I think with black skinnies and heels (I've decided that despite the autumn diagnosis black jeans will remain in my life Smile). but I won't make a final decision until all the other stuff i have ordered gets here and I will try and be sensible and keep what gives me the most outfit options.

LinusDKD · 04/02/2015 13:38

Poor you novice! DH is also in bed for a third consecutive day and I just spent a fortune in the pharmacy for him.

shop I feel for your DH!

I'm not the right person to ask about tattoos. Not because of the pain involved but because They Are For Ever! . Wink

Oh and keep the leopard print shoes! Leopard print is a neutral. Grin

You'll see lib, you'll get lost of wear out of that shirt. I love my Equipment ones as they are so easy to throw on and dress up or down.

libertychick · 04/02/2015 13:48

I think I will find it v v hard to return the shirt Linus - it is so lovely.

OP posts:
Karbea · 04/02/2015 14:02

lib I love the colour of that shirt.

BrandyAlexander · 04/02/2015 14:03

That shirt looks so lovely. It soooo wouldn't suit me! I can't put my finger on it, but silk just doesn't work on me. Somehow everyone else manages to look chic or sexy, I look matronly!

Thanks Linus. I am overseeing something this week, worth hundreds of millions of dollars. I have just left my team to it and done a daily call to check its all okay. I just make sure I am drugged up before each call, keep it short and go back to bed. Grin
