We are so over winter and cannot wait for Spring/Summer 2015 to hit the rails - come and chat about clothes, make up, sparkles and shoes. All styles, tastes and budgets are welcome.

a piece of art! stunning but baffling

shopafrolic · 03/02/2015 17:42

Love that Dry - if only I had somewhere to wear it :)

QueenCardigan · 03/02/2015 17:44

I'll fight you for the first Dior dry
karbea yes, I can't imagine that dogs and silk dresses mix. Wouldn't it be lovely if we all had lifestyles to suit the clothes we love.

Drywhiteplease · 03/02/2015 17:47

Phew, haute couture is exhausting! "Done" my fav designers .....need a rest for a bit!
shop I have always liked that look, long black jackets sinched in with belt

libertychick · 03/02/2015 18:08

Oh that Erdem dress is beautiful Dry.
I think the IM dress might be tricky to take up Karbea, not so much the silk as the shape of the hemline.

Not sure about flares for me, possibly small kick flare, is that the term? But would still have to be quite slim fitting to close to the ankle.

MiH perhaps they are the best.

Santa hope you are feeling ok

Ujjayi thanks! You are ultra glamorous, going to have a better look after bath time etc. I'm afraid I don't put the time in for instagram or a blog these days. But here is my pinterest, not sure if we are following each other.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/02/2015 18:17

Dry I love that Prada look, perfect colour jumper and gorgeous skirt, lovely.

Ujjayi Would like the PM with insta/blog please! :) That's so cool about Topshop. I'm here on pinterest.

santa sympathies, hope you feel better tomorrow.

Great shopping Lib, can't wait to hear the verdicts.

I've just washed all my cashmere by hand... (well 3 jumpers) SUCH a horrible chore! I need to get some delicates laundry bags from Lakeland asap so I can put them in the machine on handwash cycle.

Oh and we finally got snow... it took me 1.5 hours to drive 5 miles today. Glad it's already gone!

muddlingalongquitenicely · 03/02/2015 18:26

Can i have links please as well.

Feeling a bit meh sore throat starting and a stuffy head so going to chill out tonight DH has made spag bol (my favourite)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/02/2015 18:33

Oh and yes yes yes to flares. Either with breton tops and a cool jacket or 70s luxe (pussy bow blouses, silk camis, maybe even double denim, or a suede shirt) I've got the same ones as santa.

MarshaBrady · 03/02/2015 18:37

You're all converting me!

MarshaBrady · 03/02/2015 18:37

Muddling yum, hope you feel better soon.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/02/2015 18:46

You'd look great in them Marsha and probably wouldn't need to get them shortened Envy

Sorry to hear about all the ill people, hope you feel better soon!

Just bought this Melissa Odabash bikini, matches my colour theme

LinusDKD · 03/02/2015 18:49

Love that Erdem dress and the Prada jumper dry!

muddling I am going to have a Lemsip preventatively tonight as I'm the only one in our household who hasn't been ill yet. It probably won't do anything but I hope just the thought of me taking something will have a placebo effect.

ujjayi I love that Celia Birtwell dress on your blog!

Can't wait to try those black Hoxtons I ordered! They have been dispatched today so hopefully I will have them by the end of the week.

Such a shame those Topshop flares are OOS otherwise I'd be really tempted to give them a go, even more as they come in a "30 length.

M&S haven't responded to my last e-mail. I'll give them a few more days and then I'll take my complaint to their facebook page. Angry

LinusDKD · 03/02/2015 18:50

Great bikini blair!

And I agree, marsha will most definitely rock flares!

Ujjayi · 03/02/2015 18:55

Karbea - IM comes up large IME especially in dresses & blouses. A good seamstress will be able to alter that dress no problem. It looks like a pin hem which is relatively straightforward. And whilst you wouldn't wear it every day with the dogs, it would be a lovely going out dress (sans dogs) & stunning with flat strappy sandals in the summer...(enablerWink)

Marsha Grin bless you! . That was an extremely rare moment of glam! I rarely do the selfie thing but I was in a silly mood that day.

One - you look exactly as I had imagined Smile. Shop, have sent you a request.

Remus - love Laid too. Saw James at Royal Albert Hall in November (having last seen them in '91). They played Laid & the place thundered with approval when they started the opening chords. Also you've got me on a Smiths groove now. I have "How Soon Is Now" going round in my head.

Ah getting ready with friends, Nirvana & a bottle of Aldi's "EC Wine Lake" red! Or MD20/20. Or for the hardcore collective: A Blastaway - a fine cocktail of Diamond White cider & Castaway "wine cooler".

Will send PMs now.

OneLittleLady · 03/02/2015 18:59

I saw James at a festival a couple of years back. The finishing number was Sit Down played in half time haha. the crowd didn't know what to make of it at first but soon got the hang of it. I saw Blondie at the same festival the year before and they were pure magic, Debbie Harry just knows how to captivate a crowd, loved them

I look like you imagined ujjayi? am I that predictable?1 Wink Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/02/2015 19:10

'Laid' plus, 'Nice Guy Eddie' by Sleeper are, along with anything by The Smiths (but especially, 'This Charming Man') my usual, 'Getting ready to go out' songs.

If anybody is on Pinterest, I'd love to follow you, if I'm not doing already, please. I don't 'do' Instagram.

Ujjayi · 03/02/2015 19:12

One Grin. I think you naturally build up a mental image of each other on here - especially as we primarily chat about our style...it was meant in a good way!

For example, I imagine Marsha could work a Kate Moss does flares look?

Ujjayi · 03/02/2015 19:14

Or this look . That photo has just convinced me I NEED flares this spring!

MarshaBrady · 03/02/2015 19:19

Oh yes I'd be happy with that look. She looks great there.

OneLittleLady · 03/02/2015 19:24

Flares drown me, my legs are just too short (I have a 26 inch inside leg) i'm sticking with skinnies, when i do wear jeans that is

Ujjayi · 03/02/2015 19:30

One I am delusional when it comes to the flares thing as I too am short of leg but the 70s trend is way too chic to pass up on...skinny scarves, shrunken jackets, platform clog sandals...Farrah flicks optional Wink

It's all very Stella circa 2005ish, no?

QueenCardigan · 03/02/2015 19:32

We're all going to be in flares at the meet up aren't we Grin with our penis head boppers for blair

Just a reminder as there's some newish people on here (uyajji, muddling, Remus, cartoon etc) we are meeting in London on Saturday 14 March at lunchtime till late (my trains at 10 but the Londoners carry on late). Anyone is welcome to join us. I'll be arranging venue nearer the time.

Ujjayi · 03/02/2015 19:45

Got my dates muddled. It was Stella SS2010. Stoopid iPad won't let me link but Claudia Schiffer totally rocked that look.

QueenC definitely up for meet up. I will possibly be on a train around 10 too...unless I can persuade DH that it's essential research & I need to stay over at a swish hotel...

Linus that Celia Birtwell dress was an absolute steal on eBay. Looks great with bare legs & tan ankle boots in the summer.

OneLittleLady · 03/02/2015 19:45

i'm so tired today. I've been to the next city over to have my passport interview, god I hope I was successful!

I did manage to buy a really cute, floral print fifties style dress, with a button thru top part and flared small pleat skirt. Can't link as I can't find it online right now but will keep looking. I also bought a rainbow striped teapot as OneCat broke mine trying to pull my new tea cosy off it!
