Blair that's interesting, did you know her?

I remember seeing a documentary ages ago on her and Erin O'Connor to contrast the made it model and the starting out one, she was in Japan, seemed tough. Although it looks like she's had success since then too.

OneLittleLady · 01/02/2015 19:30

She did show up blair she got caught up with napping so was just running late. She's currently on the sofa in pjs snuggled under a blanket watching crime dramas!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/02/2015 19:37

I didn't Marsha (not even sure we were there at the same time, seems she is 33 or so?) but her sister was in the same year as mine (younger). I like how she manages to run a good blog alongside being a model, it's interesting.

Aw One hope you had a nice time with her :)

shopafrolic · 01/02/2015 19:47

Saw this and thought of MrsR quite tempted myself

Hello everyone! Hope you have all had lovely weekends. After the. madness of last weekend ours was relatively quiet. Having said that, I spent much of yesterday afternoon muttering under my breath. I volunteer for something once a month and my so called partner for today left me to do all the prep which was a bit stressful. I was not impressed!Hmm

I love many of QueenC's links. That j crew metallic tank top is lovely, though wouldn't suit me and I would be loath to spend £60 on it. Also loved the RM dress. Very me. Finally, the Armani Collezioni jacket is fab. I then cringed as I recall that I have the same jacket in an oatmeal colour, which, after 2 years has yet to be worn.Blush

For some reason (which he won't tell me), dh has been doing an audit of our finances and has started quietly muttering about my spending on bags and bling. I reckon it's because he spent ridiculous amounts on me at Christmas, just paid the credit card bill and somehow it's all my fault. I didn't even ask for any of it! Grrr!

Blair, I was also going to suggest Crete or Kefalonia. Dh and I have had some great pre-dcs holidays on both islands. Kefalonia is stunning.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 01/02/2015 21:44

Just cleaned my make brushes ready for the week. Trying to get in to some kind of routine on a sunday night eg manicure brushes cleaned
Not sure where the weekend has gone especially today.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 01/02/2015 21:48

Kefalonia is stunning i first went as a child with my family when the airport was 4 bug poles with tarpaulin for a roof and a brick wall separating arrivals and depatures!
I think it would be too quiet for DH we are looking at cyprus for this year

muddlingalongquitenicely · 01/02/2015 21:48

Big not bug

MarshaBrady · 01/02/2015 21:50

I think I've been to Kefalonia, ages ago. We have to Crete. Stayed at here Daios Cove I'll laugh if someone else has on here too.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/02/2015 21:51

Kefalonia is gorgeous. I really want to go back and see more of it.

Loving that Jigsaw coated skirt.

BrandyAlexander · 01/02/2015 21:52

muddling, I haven't been since the film came out (I went twice before). I hope that they haven't become over commercialised. The sea is just so blue, I feel calm just thinking about it.

BrandyAlexander · 01/02/2015 21:57

GrinGrinGrinGrin Snap Marsha! I almost posted the same link!!!

Remus, have you been to Kefalonia recently? Would love to return but we are in young dcs -find a resort with lots of things to do and don't move off it- phase at the moment.

MarshaBrady · 01/02/2015 21:58

haha Novice did you!? I knew I could count on you Grin Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/02/2015 21:58

Two years ago. We stayed in Skala, and did little except pool/beach/eat/repeat tbh. It was lovely.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 01/02/2015 21:59

We stayed [http://www.mediterraneehotel.gr/english/facilities/kefalonia/swimming-pool.html here]] the first time and i have so many lovely memories it was the first poshest hitel i had ever been to (think i was under 16 at the time)
Like you, i hope its not become over commercialised

shopafrolic · 01/02/2015 22:04

We did Kefalonia too. Stayed in Fiscardo. Stunning.

Topazandpearl · 01/02/2015 22:05

I love Kefalonia too! We gave stayed in Fiskardo and Assos. We are considering Sardinia this year.

Topazandpearl · 01/02/2015 22:07

Amazing how we could all have had a Kefalonia mu!

MarshaBrady · 01/02/2015 22:11

True Grin. It was my early 20s, I did some travelling solo in between Italy etc with friends. I hung out with other random travellers, same age who were doing the same. It was great fun but I shudder a bit now at my risk taking!

BrandyAlexander · 01/02/2015 22:15

Ooh have loved looking at those links and looking up Skala. Happy days.Smile

Marsha, I am not that reliable! Crete and Kefalonia were rare pre dc holidays that were not on the 50 places to see before you die list (aka dh's obsession!).

libertychick · 01/02/2015 22:15

I haven't been to Kefalonia. Sounds amazing.

V tired. DD has a cold and coughing all night so was up with her last night and Friday night.

Have been busy with the dylon today! Have used Pebble beige on a couple of white t-shirts and a Gap silk and cotton pale grey shirt. T-shirts have gone a sort of dirty yellow colour which I like and the shirt has turned into a really lovely beige. Currently have a grey pashmina (thanks anni Smile) in the machine being transformed into chocolate brown.

Hi everyone, sorry I went MIA, I can't believe I missed a whole thread Shock. On the bright side, by avoiding your lovely links I have managed a no spend January (other than a blue fur pom pom for my hat, which I'm not counting Smile. To be honest I haven't been tempted by much except your link by PM Lib. Quite uninspired so far this year, which is for the best.

Glad to see you are all well. Re Greek Islands, I've always been tempted by Santorini, looks stunning and some gorgeous luxe hotels there. Amber I am exactly like you, no honeymoon, we were planning a trip to Morrocco but I too got 'knocked up' the month after our wedding and suddenly it wasn't such an appealing idea Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/02/2015 22:16

That Crete hotel looks like exactly the kind of place we want. But it doesn't seem to be open until the 17th April unless I'm looking at it wrong Confused and we're going on the 13th.

Love how everyone's been to the same hotels!

Will look at Kefalonia too :)

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/02/2015 22:16

Santorini is gorgeous - the most beautiful place I have ever been to.
